Thanks for the video... I have a HobieCrate that I want to mount a small solar panel to-- the goal is to maintain charge on the battery, so that it doesn't have to be constantly removed from the kayak. Is there a way to hook up to the Berley batteries you showed in the video?
You could, but the batteries are not waterproof, so having them outside the hull is not a great idea. I'd consider mounting a panel to the rear hatch of your boat and sealing that around the wiring with a rubber line through gasket, then connecting to the battery inside the boat. A bit risky though. You'd have more luck with the yak power battery in housing

IF ONLY I HAD YOUR "HOW TO " VIDEOS FOR WHEN I WAS INSTALLING EVERYTHING ON MY 360. TOOK A LOT OF TRIAL AND ERROR ESPECIALLY WITH THE GUARDIAN ONHOW TO ACTUALLY GET IT TO RETRACT. YOU GONNA PUT ANY YAK POWER LIGHTS ON ?
Nice vid my yak was supposed to be here but guess what, bass pro cancelled my order without me knowing them I get 5000 dollar refund for two kayaks and old town is blaming bass pro and bass pro is blaming old town I’m so bummed after getting all the things I need for it but now I have to wait till mid to late august to get one if old town doesn’t push my order because so many people ordered a kayak. But any way nice vid keep up the good work

What ball mount do you use? I’m the tying to find one for the triple shot 5. Have my wires ran need a good battery system too.

I used the included hardware, so I'm not sure. Main wire is likely 18 gauge, Fuse wire is larger. This would all be stock with your Fish Finder

What kind of mount is that for the Fish Finder? cant find one that hooks on the rail
This is a Ram mount with an H-Rail attachment that has the ram ball mount on it.
I see alot of people putting an in line fuse in. Do you not think it is necessary?
Originally I went without, but am now adding one. I would say go with it. Better safe than sorry.
