  • The Mythical Marathon of Destiny-defying videos continue! Didn't know how to work Halo into that one and I'm not getting paid enough to really try anyway.

33:40 So true, so many games have more bark than bite. I don't remember what its name was, but a long time ago, I remember playing a game where the main character is on his deathbed for like half the game, and every cutscene talks about how bad he looks and how he is dying, but it is never reflected in gameplay in any way. It made the point in the story where he did get cured feel so flat because it changes nothing.

Everything is going to come together in a big way in Myth 2. Don’t forget that these are Bungie games.

(trying desperately to write down all the lore)
Will there be a test afterwards?

I think the specific term you were looking for when it comes to the narrative/gameplay disconnect is ludo-narrative dissonance? describing exactly that issue

    Lets be honest
The Dark Lord being defeated by an angry swarm of muscular barbarians is still the most unique and darkly funniest way to win the battle

The story/setting/tone of the first 2 games is something very special. I would almost say it's unique.
This is a hidden gem from a golden age of game development.
