► Colours list and Time-stamp :
00:03 Underpaint background with White. I paint the sky and water at the same time
because the water must have a colour similar to the sky
01:04 While the background is stell wet . Start adding some of cerulean blue
01:58 Add a bit of paynes gray to create the distant tree line
02:37 Use paynes grey for underpaint middle-ground
03:22 Add some bushes using paynes grey + sap green + yellow ochre and 03:58 Highlight the bushes
with a mix of medium yellow + light green
04:30 Highlight middle-ground with a mix of burnt sienna + a bit of white
05:37 Block the tree trunk with paynes grey. it is important not to add too many limbs
at this stage because you will add the final limbs after the tree leaves have been completed
06:04 Underpaint leaves: create the basic tree color by mixing one part ultramarine + one part
violet + a bit of white. Remember to create interesting pockets of negative space around and through the tree
08:08 Highlight leaves phase 1 : I choose to have the light come from the upper-left side. 08:47 load a no.10 fanbrush and carefully adb the highlight
on the upper-left side of each clump
10:51 Highlight leaves phase 2 :lighten the mixture you used in step 08:47 more white
12:00 Highlight leaves phase 3 with white
13:29 Add tree limbs : Add plenty of water to pure paynes grey to make a very thin mixture . Paint in all the tree limbs within the structure for the tree
14:00 Highlight tree trunk using a mix of yellow ochre, burnt sienna and a bit of white
14:40 Add Fall On The Ground
15:17 Underpaint Reflections: for this reflection, add a little of white to violet and load a very small amount very creamy
16:19 Paint a Couple Sitting On A Bench : paynes grey for Man and red, white for Woman , apply a mixture of orange + white for skin color
20:06 Paint a dog with yellow ochre, white, paynes grey and burnt sienna
21:38 Add final details

When they start to add the extra details, I always get fooled: I start out thinking "No, this is too much, it doesn't work" - & then it all comes together & it's incredible & all the parts work ... Then there's the removal of the tape & it's perfection!

I've had chronic Insomnia for years. I've finally found a med that helps with my nightmares so I can stay asleep, but because of my anxiety, getting relaxed enough to FALL asleep is still a challenge but your videos have been helping a lot!!! Very thankful I found them thank you!!!

Im thankful for this painting. You brought back memories for me. I lived in South Africa for 5yrs. I love Jacaranda specially during Nov n Dec. Whole roads filled with Jacarandas. I even tried finding the seeds back to my country..becos of climate it cant be planted here as these trees are huge. Thank you very much

Im a guy thats into motorcycles and fast cars. I enjoy riding/driving them because it's my hobby and I love the thrill and excitement. But when I watch these video's I can understand why painting can be an amazing hobby aswel. Soo much peace and quiet and you can just be alone with your thoughts and feelings and stuff. Very good!
