Kip Throne was the scientist behind Interstellar. He is an Astrophysicist. He helped Nolan to create this. He told that he wanted every equation and theory to be extremely accurate. They even created a software which was filled with the equations to create a black hole. It took over 100 hours to design this black hole. Kip Throne even wrote a book explaining the science behind Interstellar. It is good to read.
For Interstellar, Christopher Nolan planted 500 acres of corn just for the film because he did not want to CGI the farm in. After filming, he turned it around and sold the corn and made back profit for the budget. 🙌🏻

That was one of the producers of movie: Kip Thorne. They rendered the image based on equations of black hole and that's how they got 2 research papers published after the final image was rendered, which took about 2-4 days .
