That line by Tae Young is so amazing: 1:28 - "WHO decided it to be over? IT has NEVER been over...!" 👏👏👏 AMAZING...!!
And as if that were not already amazing enough: "I was truly happy...because of your writing...! 😲🥺😭😭😭
Beautifully enough it is not only Tae Young the one saying this to him. In Episode 4 after the introductory part... in the very first scene (from minute 2.56) Jungwoo asks the book store cashier girl why is she still reading a novel (It is his own novel, he doesn't say it is his last published book), and she answers:
"There are so many books in this store... but non of then are interesting to me. But when I read this novel I feel comforted at heart. (...) I don't know why... but reading this novel I get a sense of happiness." 🤗🤩😊
For me after watching EP 3 and 4 is 100% crystal clear that Jung Hyun is definitely NOT doing anything at all "for Jungwoo's own good".
In Episode 3 right after this scene here when Jung Hyun says (around minute 4.40):
"Try again (writing and publishing), if that is what you want. I will help you."
BUT right away comes the line also "I will protect you. Just know that whatever I do... is all for you." 🥵😏😂😂😂
I am was like "Yeah, right... is all for "Jungwoo's own good"... THAT is why you keep on blocking any ways for him to move on...!! 😏
Of course this is always a matter of perspective. BUT we can NOT see this matter from Jung Hyun own position, WE have to see it from the Jungwoo's perspective... since HE is the one who most take control of his own life and the ways he wants to follow on his own, and not in the manipulated ways Jung Hyun is plotting everything... without him knowing about it. We found out in Episode 4 that Kim Jung Hyun was using Jungwoo as his "private editor", and that way letting him correcting and modifying his novel manuscripts. That is how he got into the best selling top 10. And also in Episode 4 the truth about Kim Jung Hyun and his tutoring professor from the university collaborating together to use and exploit him in their own ways... 😵💫🥺
IF it were really "for Jungwoo's own good" there wouldn't be a reason to keep it a secret. WHY can't Jung Hyun talk to him about a possible "comeback plan" openly... to seek his opinion in the matter? 🤨🤔😒
In the end this "for Jungwoo's own good" plan between Jung Hyun and the Professor turned into disaster when Jungwoo found out about it accidentally from an old student female friend at the university... because THAT sort of plan was not an option for him to chose...!!! He ended up disappointed, and heartbroken, and in total distress. Sorry... but more evil and manipulating from Jung Hyun side it can not turn to be. BUT it will... unfortunately. Some people are that destructive... and still think "I am doing all this for your own good"... 🤢🤮
Altogether this Series has a very intriguing storyline... which is the main reason I am watching it.
I am not please or satisfied with the acting of the leads Park Hyun Chul and Jung Taek Woon... but that is because of a very personal preference in directing styles. I feel Jungwoo to be extremely emotionless in all the scenes shown so far... too melancholic... almost too depressing for someone being "taken care of" by his "lover". And Jung Hyun... well... too colorless for a best selling writer living together with his "lover". He could be a lot better playing the evil one of this Series... but is really too plain to watch him being always the same. Even in the cynical self questioning dialogue from EP 4 (from minute 14.30) which a great script for that scene he perform it so PLAIN...!!! 😳😴😴😴
So far the only worth watching character is Han Tae Young... acted by an amazing and colorful Ha Jong Woo... 👏👏👏
Ha Jong Woo is the only one showing us all sort of mood sides: from very cheerful, to sad... to emotionally vulnerable... to emotionally uncertain as in this particular scene... where we can feel how much his struggle trying to keep in control when he is deeply desperate to expose all of his feelings to Jungwoo. Great job...!!
We... we are already in the middle of this story now. We will see in the next Episode how far will Jung Hyun go to keep his toxic obsession and control over Jungwoo... and how Jungwoo will deal with all of it once and for all.

Thank you, Mel, for your interesting review as always. I'm not comfortable with this drama. I don't know why, perhaps acting, darkness, manipulation. I have a strange feelings. I stopped to watch in the middle of episode 4. I'll finish later. I just could not continue this day to watch. And Leo...ah, I had to watch several MV for him to appreciate him a little. I don't know why.

@@kokeshi1340 You're welcome. Yes... this Series is really not for everyone. You may not like it because of the combination of the many things you mention. For me the poor characterization is the main problem... leading to a boring and plain way of acting of Jung Taek Woon (LEO) and Park Hyun Chul (KARAM). THAT is a problem with the director... unable to really exploit these newbies and use them properly to portray the characters. I have never hear of LEO or KARAM before, since their are actually singers and I am not into K-pop at all. They are both completely new to acting in general... and then having such demanding dramatic characters seems to be too much for both of them.
I do like the general concept of the story a lot... because it is really a new one to BL productions... having a young writer struggling because of a scandal. I am a huge fan of this "writers and editorial companies" stories... being "Romance Is a Bonus Book" (2019) my TOP Nr. 1 Favorite so far... with an amazing Lee Na-young as Kang Dan-i... together with Lee Jong-suk as Cha Eun-ho.

@@kokeshi1340 I haven't watched "Once Again" or "Oh ! My assistant" because the stories did not interest me at all from the released trailers... and because I don't have the time to watch then either. Right now I have to prioritize the productions I want to watch... and leave others for my holidays.
"Romance Is a Bonus Book" is NOT BL... but is a very interesting Korean TV Drama.
My favorite BL at the moment is still AI LONG NHAI...
Now just 2 more weeks before the School Christmas Holidays. I will be spending those 3 weeks in Berlin completely to catch up with my friends, enjoy the end of this year classic concert season, and walk around with the cold weather. You too... Have a lovely Sunday.

He is a fan of Jung Woo's work. He loves Jung Woo's so he gave up to be a writer but became an editor.
Tae Young is NOT the only one who says that to Jungwoo. The first scene in EP 4 the cashier girl at the book store says the same to him. It seems Jungwoo writing style is something so special that many people like a lot reading his novel style.
But them again: YOU are not watching the Episodes yet... are you? 🤨😏

Sort of but I think the character developments are the main subject. And they did this very well. This story is much more than a BL. For me it is about holding yourself in a prison because of fear of failure versus "live life as it comes and enjoy the road you are traveling". I really loved that. TIME to do a re-watch.
