Crackin' series Pete, glad I'm a Patreon - like everyone should be! Love to see the ups and downs, honestly, I get tired of the standard social media "everything went perfectly" videos. So it's good to see the emotions, the crap weather, and the lack of fish (at least at the beginning! I'm 2 weeks into a month-long 12000km cross-country adventure in the USA, from Oregon to Maine and back, my first night was rain, hail, lightning, and hurricane-like winds, to the point where at 10pm I packed and headed for shelter. after a hellish 3 hour drive I rolled into a camp at 1am, dropped the swag, and passed out. The thing that erased the low was realizing I'd dodged the worst of the weather, laughed to myself of how amazing the electrical storm was, and I'd actually found a stellar new camp (with a breakfast beer) Keep up the great vids mate, keep the honesty and give us some more Pete Laughs!
No matter how fishy any spot is you rarely just go there and straight away catch fish. There’s always a code to unlock. Location, tide, wind, sun, moon, bait, lures etc etc. Unlocking that code is fishing. Anyone can reel in a fish but the code breaking is the real skill of fishing. It can take weeks/months/years to really work a place out so to get a feed after few days in a new area is pretty good going really. It really is persistence, learning and adapting, until you get it right.

Wow. Where do I start. Well Kranskys springs to mind🤣🤣. Muscles or oysters which were they🤣🤣. Mate your living the dream. Stayed on the other side of shark Bay Carrang few years ago. It bought back so many memories. It's gods country. OK, Chili Brie, Camembert, chorizo, onion, little bit of Scorpion Chili juice and spices in your Cob Loaf . It's a winner. If you like Chili that is. The red dirt meets the white sand is so beautiful. 3 seasons in one day, is so cool. Question??. Do you run a dual battery set up. Your not running much. Lithium is good, but still expensive, a second battery would probably do the trick. Anyway a great episode, your enthusiasm is infectious. Already watched Cams series, and your is a different take. So looking forward to seeing the rest of the series, and catching up with you both.

Fishing is not catching ... as many have said ... just enjoy and relax fish will come not always but there are days that will blow your mind and feed you belly and those you love

Spectacular video, love your persistence and know exactly how you feel. So many trips have been unsuccessful on the fishing front but they are always much more than just the fishing, mostly because it is fantastic just to be and reconnect. Pete, you’re a bloody legend. This trip had its ups and downs but you both made the most of it and came away with amazing memories. Having planned and executed many trips that have had their down turns I can honestly say that the persistence mindset is what get you over the line every time. Keep on keeping on my dude!

I try to not over- organise my trips and be able to change as a need arises (weather). I've learnt if you over think things you can be disappointed when your expectations are not met. . . . Go with the flow. . . You both are putting out great content. . . . Keep it coming

Another great video , really interesting to watch , ..most camping trips been on have been awesome ,,.One timewe were camping at lucky bay kalbarrie 20 years ago on the beach , we were just around behind a sand June in the middle of the night we got flooded out , tide , rain , you would never think it would happen where we were .middle of night walking around packing up in knee hi water ...You probley already tried a damper with chocolate and marshmallows ....or damper with camberte cheese in the middle of it ..fricken yummy .

My dad and I used to call them poor boys. Smash up some garlic and onions into some 80% mince and make a patty. Cut up some potatoes and carrots. Wrap it all up in 3 layers of foil and cook it on the coals ten mins each side. OMG! So good for just a simple thing. And, if you make it at home before you go, it's an easy dinner. All you need is coals from the fire. 🤠

Shark bay wind we go for 2 weeks and a good trip is 1 week of no wind sometimes people are stuck in camp for the whole time great stuff guys

Great video mate, I know how hard it is to have a good trip and also try and make a video too! I usually get to pissed and stop filming so think this is great. The cooking segment was tops, defiantly gonna hit you up for the recipe.

Rooster mate i put them in the fridge and went to take them out the following night when we caught the fish to do the cob but they smelt a bit funny so i chose to be cautious and throw them out. Plus they were so tiny hha

Great vid mate. Very true in your last comments about fishing. There are multiple trips, when ya buy the gear, bait, fuel, head out wide and come home empty handed. Ya think is it all worth it but then remind yaself it’s more about the yarns and laughs (which does include a beer 😂). I would had liked this video regardless of catching a fish or not👌🏼

Praws and crabs are the Best bait in that area, If you don't have any prawns have a look under the rocks for small crabs to use as bait
Great vid as always mate. Cooking idea. We will do a camp oven stew or roast. Then with the left overs we make pies. All you need is some puff pastry and a jaffle iron. Pies over the fire.

Mate I love your passion and love your videos ,just a tip when your using a popper ,cast then a quite decent long sweep of the arm pause and long sweep again ,the popper makes a gush of water out the front of it when your doing it right.thanks for the vids they’re awesome

Mate another ripper vid! I had a trip like that once too! Finally caught the elusive Murray Cod on the second morning of the trip and that was it for me! Just got back from 2 weeks at steep point.. We coped the weather you guys got. Blew its a#ss off and rained as well. Still enjoyed the trip. Couple cold beers, great food and got a feed of fish. Still a lot of work. The black snapper saved the day. Keep up the good content, From Busso

Hey just came from SB today. South Gregory's. There isn't much beach fishing and when in a boat they hated my 100's of dollars worth of lures. Straight up bail. But we were out on the water. Last day choppy-ish. Caught a pinky 60cm and a painted sweetlip same size drift on one spot. We each got a pinky each.
Blue emp take years to grow than pinky. We throw back sized one

Yeah man really stoked about the pinky. I also commented on Wild Touring video when he posted his SB, that how I came across yours.
Our next SB run will be at end of Feb.
