Guys, this was a great video. I just drove thru that area today in my Semi and we got hammered with snow. I grew up in SoCal and spent all my time camping either in Yucca Valley, Johnson valley or El Mirage. I missed so much of SoCal that I didn't even know existed. I hate California but you guys make me wish I still lived there. So much to explore
Thanks so much. There are still some great things about California we try to focus on...the trails being a big part of that. Happy Easter! Thanks for watching
Nice video Daniel, been using the Summit Outfitters table several years now, it is a great table - hope you had someone off camera catch that thing! LOL. Just recently got a Zarges box and really impressed also - I dont know how you can beat the weight savings combined with the quality. 👍
Yah..that table is really nice and can handle a litle bit of a beating. And yes, I had someone off screen. LOL. Thanks for the comment and watching Mike! Happy Easter!
Well, that was an interesting video-not what I’ve become used to from you guys. I like it!! Got myself a fridge after we talked last time and used it on my way home to Canada and it WAS a game changer! Thanks or recommending I get one. Question-what are your thoughts on scrap or ground sheet under the ground tents? Good? Bad?
Tembo Tusk skottle 👍 love mine bought the adventure scottle had a problem with original burner. Jerry sent me a new one no questions asked. He is a stand up guy😊
I grew up camping and now my little family and I have been overlanding for a few years. We still use a ground tent and have a mix of lower and higher priced camping gear. Truck is still stock but 4x4 and we’ve been everywhere. You don’t need fancy things to get started! Great video as always. Love the content. Happy trails!
Just started following you guys and you guys are all awesome!! Awesome rig and equipment! Little by little been buying camping gear for our adventures to come and you guys are amazing and an inspiration!! This is what outdoors and camping is all about 🙏🏽
As much as I love using a dutch oven, with Cali's fire restrictions it is kind of hard to use consistently. Totally use it if you can, just keep that in mind. Also the only way to find out works for you is to go out and find out. Don't be afraid to use paid campgrounds if you're vehicle can't get to these more remote spots.
I'm not too sure. I'm sure there are some here and their but I've never fished it...I heard it was great back then....Happy Easter...Thanks for watching
I have to say that a lot of the gear you reviewed in this episode is stuff that I have put together over the years. Besides the Gazelle tent, also the Exped pad (I have that same 6" deluxe one!), The Kermit chairs! I got my Kermit back when I was camping with my dual sport motorcycle. I just have finished adding a Jackery and fridge to my Toyota truck. I did a rear seat delete and anchored it down there.
Thank you. The hoodie can be found on our Amazon store....Thanks for watching... www.amazon.com/dp/B08JCJ8S4D?linkCode=ssc&tag=onamz395jnky-20&creativeASIN=B08JCJ8S4D&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.3SJLRK0VH8N52&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_d_asin&th=1
Omg best vid you have done!!! Funny! Basic, mama has shambow skills!!! That trail? Over used but great trail!!! Shhhh gold inthat river! Daniel? Son in law? Do we need to clean guns?? Lol love you all!!!! Happy trails!!
So if I go past the shooting range and just stay on 3NO6,is it pretty easy to find some of these YP sites? Happy Easter and thanks for putting links to these resources, I got the permit and it was really easy.
I haven't been there yet but I'm not gonna lie, I leave a lot of trash behind too because I don't have the foresight to bring trash bags and too lazy to pick up anything up.
Glad you were able to successfully camp through the "polar vortex" that came through Southern California! Our plans changed and we stayed home! Liked this video. A constant flow of good tips and where to go is needed as people come and go through the channels and start their journey.
Sleeping bag liners are awesome. Have you ever seen a Volcano 3 grill? They have been around for a long time. Very versatile but a little heavy. TH-cam them.
Depends...on this trip, most likely...but during rain events of after a big rain event that wash that needs to be crossed to get to 3N06B can get really tore up with big boulders...Thanks for watching. Happy Easter.
Hi Scotty - The girls dont have beadlocks and it is fine down to 15psi, and even lower if need be. I have beadlocks on Bele and sometime air down to 5-8PSY if its real bumpy or crawling...Happy Easter!
My only experience with a compressor in that price range and slightly less was the Smittybilt...and I had no complaints...I had no issues with it. I run the dual ARB now and it is just as good, just a little quicker...Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Happy Easter
Do I have any questions.....Hmmm, Yes I do! How do you handle and manage your daughter's boyfriends?! You seem to do great, but I feel like I'm gonna be more of an ass to him. Our daughter is 14. I'm already worried, and my wife has warned me not to be an ass! 😂
Our girls have had a few boyfriends before their current ones that I wasn't the nicest guy to, and rightfully so. But if I'm honest, Tish and I are pretty happy with their current boyfriends. They treat our girls the way they should be treated, but at 14 yrs old, you definitely need to be critical of them boys. LOL. Happy Easter
Lytle Creek isnt as bad as it used to be. It is still kind of trashed in some areas but overall its not like the Wild West from a decade or two ago. Happy Easter. Thanks for watching.
Wow !..there's a reason why they have maps to the post sites there, not secrets..this land is our land, and yours to enjoy in this life time before we are gone and buried in it 😊 ... let's enjoy it together.
The dog is the real star of this video. 🥰
I remember when Lytle Creek was the wild wild West..... California in the 80s, oh boy do I miss it.
Yes...anything goes back then. Happy Easter and thanks for watching.

Loved this video, very informative
Great. Glad you enjoyed it. Happy Easter
Thank you for sharing this information im local and I been camping more north but you guys put another great area to explore 🤙🏼

Thanks for the video! What’s the brand of that snuggy? 26:10
Does Lytle Creek still hold trout? I used to fish that back in 70’s and 80’s..

Thanks for sharing! Yes, I believe thats how the Kermit chairs were started were for motorcycle riders....
All I have is a Nissan Murano SUV with all wheel drive. You think I can access some of the campsites with that?

Nice touch with a cameraman angle. Added even more quality to your videos.
Omg best vid you have done!!!
Funny! Basic, mama has shambow skills!!! That trail? Over used but great trail!!!
Shhhh gold inthat river! Daniel? Son in law? Do we need to clean guns?? Lol love you all!!!! Happy trails!!
Thanks for watching Fred. Yah, that trail is definately used and abused, but for being local it isnt too bad for a quick getaway. Happy Easter bud!
The CA campfire Permit is something Every OverLander needs to do Every Year.
So if I go past the shooting range and just stay on 3NO6,is it pretty easy to find some of these YP sites? Happy Easter and thanks for putting links to these resources, I got the permit and it was really easy.
Last time we were up there. Ending up bringing a lot of trash back with us.
Yah...thats one of the main issues up there is all the trash and broken glass! Thanks for watching. Happy Easter
I haven't been there yet but I'm not gonna lie, I leave a lot of trash behind too because I don't have the foresight to bring trash bags and too lazy to pick up anything up.
Just up the street from me. Enjoy your weekend
Thanks Jerry. You too. Happy Easter

You can Gazelle tent for less than
$300 bucks. I have the 4t and the 3t. Got the waterproof bags for both. And they Last.. For years.
Great vid! We usually stay at 6 or 7 if available.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.

@@395jnky Happy Easter to you all as well and we are doing great, thank you!!!
I never have luck with yellow post camping since they are always occupied.
Oh you just cost me 300 bucks. I ordered that Kermit chair. Really liked it..hahaha 😂
some nice Mall Crawlers
At certain high fire times, even covers operating a gas stove.
The Miller Jeep Trail.
Try Pinnacle Foods for backpacking means! They’re the absolute best
This super close to me. Can a 2 wheel drive truck get to the site you were at?
Depends...on this trip, most likely...but during rain events of after a big rain event that wash that needs to be crossed to get to 3N06B can get really tore up with big boulders...Thanks for watching. Happy Easter.
Happy Risen day, hope you and the family have a good one.
You have beadlocks. I have bead grips. Methods. Let's me go down to around 15 PSI..
Hi Scotty - The girls dont have beadlocks and it is fine down to 15psi, and even lower if need be. I have beadlocks on Bele and sometime air down to 5-8PSY if its real bumpy or crawling...Happy Easter!
What do you consider a good quality air compressor to air up in the $300 range.
Check out the VIAIR 400P. Under $300, reliable, heavy duty, fills my 35" tires fast.
My only experience with a compressor in that price range and slightly less was the Smittybilt...and I had no complaints...I had no issues with it. I run the dual ARB now and it is just as good, just a little quicker...Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Happy Easter
@@leeg1100can confirm, solid compressor, been using steadily for a few years now.
