Hope some of you find this helpful !!! Thought id actually get a bit more real n give u lovely lot a lowdown on owning these rigs A YEAR LATER - lets go!!!!
I had my MT10 for two years and still running like a champ. I upgraded the transmitter to Flysky GT5 and added a new faster servo. One of my wheels has a rip on the rubber but doesn't seem to affect driving. Also changed the rear LED lights. I love taking my MT10 to the beach and parks. Definitely turn heads :)
Thx- rpm arms- need to file out for the shocks to fit-a full set is usually cheaper than buying one set per order- I’m thinking about new tires-Any suggestions ?? plz reply-
The K stands for 1000 on Associated fluid. So 20k is 20,000 CST. Different companies use different ways to explain the thickness. It depends what surface you normally run on. A thicker center fluid will make the truck wheelie more on a high traction surface. So if you are after the truck sitting more squat , id go slightly thinner on the center fluid.( But this will make the air control less too ).
Great job with the review of the MT10. It's good to see that you like the truck and use it as backup. I just picked one up yesterday and took it out for a light bash. In no time the body was destroyed because of my bad driving and the killer breaking system. It such a nice looking truck it's sad to see it so beat up so fast. The 2 D-rings on the front bumper are so cool looking but that's another item that only last one day. Other than that it's an awesome truck and real fun to drive. A-Arms and ESC will probably be my first upgrade if they break but my plan is to spend as little as possible and just keep the truck stock and have fun with it.
Was a straight swap out. I did hard wire the connections from motor to esc. Apart from that she worked straight away if I remember correctly. I could then change brake values and punch etc
Keep.on bashing brother !!!!! The MT10 is by far the best 3s MT basher on the market imo. Keep me posted how it all goes or if you have any issues! We are always here you bro

So, I just got one last week. broke 1 lower control arm. but did order the rpm replacements when purchased, and just to say. I am a noob. First rc. and I'm 52. just stripped something out on the steering. Servo still works. arm not stripped. something under skid plate. Any ideas?
Check the servo screw hasn't come loose on some impact. Then check all screws that lead out to the wheels. The steering rack plate might have bent. No RC is damage proof unfortunately! Keep me posted on how it goes ☺️
@@rccircus7271 it is the pitman arm. but the steering servo did take a dump. I got an upgraded servo, but the arm is stripped. I think I need to get a metal one
I went to our local RC shop which is called White Rose. And was able to get a an aluminum Servo horn because they don't call it a pitman arm it was $9.95 and then I got 5% off cuz it was Saint Patty's Day I'm fixing to go out and put the new arm here shortly and see how it goes
Cool truck I was wondering where I can get the metal servo horn you have on I have the stock plastic one and it stripped 2 already but I can’t find one for the mt10
I just used a 25t horn from Amazon. The reason being that you need to dremmel down the tip so it fits in position and has free movement ( or it gets caught on the chassis). So i just went cheap , but its lasted ☺
@@t3floz yes it was way quicker due to the esc being 100 amp as opposed to the 60amp stock esc. I don't know if top end is faster but it was way more aggressive
@@rccircus7271 ah okay. Didn’t know that just switching esc would make it quicker. I’m been leaning towards getting a granite due to size and power. But mt10 seems so durable although a bit too little power. Maybe just switching esc would do the trick. If not I could just buy a new motor haha
@@t3floz oh it will be all over a granite if u switch up to a 100amp esc. I bashed the absolute hell out of this rig and really can't recommend it more 😎 my fav 3s MT
@@rccircus7271 man that might convince me. They are the same price and from what I know you only really need rpm arms for the mt10, plus I would get an esc. For the granite I would probably make it wider and put in 4s diffs. Might be around the same price but the mt10 might still be more durable. Plus if just switching esc makes it faster than the granite. I do think the mt10 are 3300kc and granite 3200, or vice versa haha. From what I’ve seen mt10 is slower on the backflip but if I change esc it should be faster on the backflips?
Good question. Personally, I'd go brushless rtr as it retails about 70 bucks( on average) more than the brushed version without the need to look for and buy separate brushed motor and esc. But , I did find but as I said in a vid I made taking it to the track, that a slightly more powerful esc (from stock 60amp upgraded to the Arrma 100 blx esc which is 100amp ) made the truck way more aggressive which suited me more. I also don't know if the brushed version has the same chassis structure. There is also different batteries (lipos) you would need too at extra cost too.So In a nut shell I'd just go brushless rtr and swap out the esc in time. I hope this helps and thanks for the question 😀
if you plan to upgrade the electronics the brushed truck is the exact same as brushless minus the electronics obviously. so ya buy a brushed and put in your own electronics and you have saved money !
Thankyou buddy for the nice comment ! Yeah these Lil beasts do take a pounding but I literally took it to it's extremes on diff vids we made. Have the original version Helion Avenge 10mt, which is basically the same. As they didnt change much with the rival mt10 version. only parts to break so far in the years ive had it, are rear driveshafts and servo. Highly recommend this truck for anyone new or old to the hobby.
I want to get another one but I just can't really afford it right now. I'm thinking either the arrma outcast or the max X ultimate. But bigger machine bigger costs for repairs. But they're just so cool
Just got the V2 as a new hobby & i was wondering which is the best 3s battery that fits with Dean connector as stock for max runtime? Any advice would be great as i'm completely new to this!
I ran Overlander 3s batts with this rig. 5000mAh. The larger the mAh , the longer the battery will last ( on average). But too big and it wont fit. So i stuck to 5000mAh Overlander batts ☺ Good choice of 1st truck !!!! Its a beast - have fun n hope it helps
This or the granite or big rock 3s , typhon amd that arrma stadium truck 3s that comes with the cool remote and gyro looked pretty cool but I missed all the sale prices these last few months and they jumped back up the $50 or so . Just being cheap I guess.
