    I had my MT10 for two years and still running like a champ. I upgraded the transmitter to Flysky GT5 and added a new faster servo. One of my wheels has a rip on the rubber but doesn't seem to affect driving. Also changed the rear LED lights. I love taking my MT10 to the beach and parks. Definitely turn heads :)

    for a RC newbie could you explain what the 'k' is re the diffs and how that helps with wheely problems?

    • @rccircus7271
      @rccircus7271  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The K stands for 1000 on Associated fluid. So 20k is 20,000 CST. Different companies use different ways to explain the thickness. It depends what surface you normally run on. A thicker center fluid will make the truck wheelie more on a high traction surface. So if you are after the truck sitting more squat , id go slightly thinner on the center fluid.( But this will make the air control less too ).

    Great job with the review of the MT10. It's good to see that you like the truck and use it as backup. I just picked one up yesterday and took it out for a light bash. In no time the body was destroyed because of my bad driving and the killer breaking system. It such a nice looking truck it's sad to see it so beat up so fast. The 2 D-rings on the front bumper are so cool looking but that's another item that only last one day. Other than that it's an awesome truck and real fun to drive. A-Arms and ESC will probably be my first upgrade if they break but my plan is to spend as little as possible and just keep the truck stock and have fun with it.

    So, I just got one last week. broke 1 lower control arm. but did order the rpm replacements when purchased, and just to say. I am a noob. First rc. and I'm 52. just stripped something out on the steering. Servo still works. arm not stripped. something under skid plate. Any ideas?

      @rccircus7271  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Check the servo screw hasn't come loose on some impact. Then check all screws that lead out to the wheels. The steering rack plate might have bent. No RC is damage proof unfortunately! Keep me posted on how it goes ☺️

    • @rccircus7271
      @rccircus7271  ปีที่แล้ว +2

    • @rccircus7271

      @@rccircus7271 ah okay. Didn’t know that just switching esc would make it quicker. I’m been leaning towards getting a granite due to size and power. @@rccircus7271 man that might convince me. They are the same price and from what I know you only really need rpm arms for the mt10, plus I would get an esc. For the granite I would probably make it wider and put in 4s diffs. Might be around the same price but the mt10 might still be more durable. Plus if just switching esc makes it faster than the granite. I do think the mt10 are 3300kc and granite 3200, or vice versa haha. From what I’ve seen mt10 is slower on the backflip but if I change esc it should be faster on the backflips?

    Is it worth getting the brushed model if you intend to swap out the stock electronics?

    • @rccircus7271
      @rccircus7271  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Good question. Personally, I'd go brushless rtr as it retails about 70 bucks( on average) more than the brushed version without the need to look for and buy separate brushed motor and esc. But , I did find but as I said in a vid I made taking it to the track, that a slightly more powerful esc (from stock 60amp upgraded to the Arrma 100 blx esc which is 100amp ) made the truck way more aggressive which suited me more. I also don't know if the brushed version has the same chassis structure. There is also different batteries (lipos) you would need too at extra cost too.So In a nut shell I'd just go brushless rtr and swap out the esc in time. I hope this helps and thanks for the question 😀

    • @sd41btownsaucin

      if you plan to upgrade the electronics the brushed truck is the exact same as brushless minus the electronics obviously. so ya buy a brushed and put in your own electronics and you have saved money !
