Buddha isn't a god. One doesn't need to be god to be a Buddha.

Another lovely upload! I especially loved your ending lines that show India's present and future in positive light and show how much India has to offer the world. Thank you!
Just one minor correction: India's own history books teach that Ashoka gave up his religion and adopted Buddhism and its message of peace after the bloodshed of Kalinga war he initiated. But Ashoka's own extant edicts prove that he was already a Buddhist at least 4 years before he initiated the war and death. The war's casualties simply chastened him more. As Wikipedia states it: "The Kalinga War prompted Ashoka, already a non-engaged Buddhist, to devote the rest of his life to ahimsa (non-violence) and to dharma-Vijaya (victory through dharma)." Ashoka's rise to power was itself borne out of cruelty, including with him killing his half-brother Sushima and usurping the throne of Pataliputra. But people change, and Ashoka changed too. And that's the take away we should all go with. Besides, Buddha also taught Dharma, same as previous and more recent Dharma teachers-- with most Hindus giving Buddha the acknowledgement of being an avatar of Vishnu himself. Buddhism is simply another iteration of Sanatan Dharma.
