I'm liking the clever engineering and the rally theme, and I certainly appreciate all the work done on this to bring it to market, including the Scania license. But personally I would prefer this truck to be able to carry a car, or at least the trailer could come right out and hook onto a tow hitch on the rear of the truck so that a rally car could be towed behind. The wheels look pretty basic to me too - some off-road style hubs would look more authentic. Hopefully these do well with collectors. Thanks for the sneak peek John.
Nicely done mr. Dima. The hauling mechanism is clever. And it's a bit more up-to-scale (the Team Transport haulers are more like 1/87 rather than 1/64 really) so you can haul some Hot Wheels if you want to. The only drawback: It needs more metal, less plastic imo. Thanks for the sneak peek Lamley!
This is SO AWESOME!! The Trackin' Trucks / Track Stars trucks have had some neat gems since they came out (the Mr. Big c.o.e., Aero Blast in the Hot Wheels team livery, the Custom Volkswagen Hauler bus come to mind), it's so cool we're getting real licensed models in the same range~ Hot Wheels Real-Working-Rigs/Super-Kings!! Very excited~
I know, right?! Like a serious 1/64 (not 1/87) semi with 3-car racks on the tractor and 6-car racks on the trailer. The closest I've found is the SpecCast Miller 5-car trailer, about $60, and it still isn't quite what I'm looking for~
Alright Mattel now how about some proper large cars? Peterbilt 389, Kenworth W900, Freightliner Classic. Licensed in the bigger scale those I would buy all day long.
Oooooh, you said Peterbilt AND Kenworth!!! We want real scale big rigs!!! That would be excellent, but the first series would probably be a Volvo truck, LOL! 👍😄
Only if they can make it a bit wider for proper car fitment on the actual truck. I know matchbox has had for a while these type right to scale trucks. But non that actually can carry a car. Also Mattel if your watching... trucks in real life are always wider and taller and longer too. M2 and green light do good with this.
I think some of the smaller models would fit, the S13 was just a poor example. But I agree with you on scale, and Matchbox needs to bring back the Super Convoys they released about 10 years back. I would ask: do you think that the M2 Box Van and 4-car Auto Transport trailers look too long? (I haven't measured the ones I have, but they always seem longer than scaled 40-53 feet.)
@@micahwhite7484 I think they can be a bit bigger, in my opinion. I have some of the 1st models that included 2 cars on the truck. If you look at truck that deliver new cars to dealerships, I thinks its 8 cars. But M2 has their cars proportioned to their trucks. I haven't seen any double cabs or long type trucks.
Would be cooler if it didn't have the hauler thing. They should have just left it out to make it like the real truck. Could have just been like a new thing added to the line. Haulers and larger trucks. Would be cool to see military and fire and police and construction and stuff. That would be better use of the larger size line then all the hauler trucks.
It is cool sir, but I'm going to wait until I see it in the store and make my final decision if I want it or not. It is a good idea but I want to see what else is going to come out like that. Thank you for the show sir.
Hey Lamley! I have a question for you. Have you heard anything about hotwheels running out of 55 chevys in the "wave cravers" 5 pack? I have found multiple 5 packs at different stores all missing the 55 chevy. I picked up one that had a blue Viper RT/10 from 1999 in its place. I also found one that had a McDonald's exclusive instead of the 55 chevy. Just wanted to know if you have heard anything about this.
Haha😂 I shouldn't laugh at your question because as far as I'm concerned, what's actually going on is a big problem. Believe it or not, someone is actually buying the multi packs, opening them and removing the car that they're after & replacing it with a car they don't want and feel has no value. Then they reseal the package & return it to the store for a refund. They do this with premiums too. I once came upon several premiums that someone did very sloppy wheel swaps to and the store put them back on the pegs. It's sad, it's annoying...
@@d.w.j.1114 I dont know if that's the case here. I've seen resealed packs before. These ones look legit from hotwheels. Plus the 55 chevy that's missing isn't really that desirable in my opinion. I just thought it was weird haha.
@@d.w.j.1114 It definitely seems like the swapping has become a way bigger issue in the last 3-4 years in my area. The latest die-cast aisle crime trend I've been seeing is people just cutting open 5-packs on the peg and taking the one or two they want. Funny thing is they likely aren't reselling them, because they're leaving behind the collector castings like the Datsun wagons and '55 Chevy's; they're just being buttholes~
Ngl I was excited for this truck then I realized how much plastic is on it, also the wheels are horrible. It’s still cool that it’s bigger than normal tho
is this goin to be a basic release, or is it goin to be apart of the trackin trucks series? anyone know?, I deffinatlley like for sure, bout time hotwheels gets back in the game for a truck model
I dig the Desert Thunder casting, but it really is closer to 1/72 or 1/87 scale, IMO. Doesn't mean I haven't bought most of them though~ Dakar is awesome no matter what scale!
But, but, but... the tire choice... well, sucks! It's supposed to be a rally truck... certainly not with those tiny wheels and slick tires! Almost perfect
do you know about the new 2020 new model toy autoworld car 2019 chevy silverado High Country thunted posted it on there website check it out thunted .com is mattel brinng back the toy hot wheels cars 2015 ford f150 2017 ford f150 raptor and chevy silverado and 2015 dodge charger and bmw 2002 and 1973 bmw 3.0 CSL im just carus i like all of the castings ...
Ok, I don’t like it. Not to say it’s bad, but, you know. Destined to be fodder for downhill racing customs, like the Zoom In. Plastic base though, huh? We shall see. Video 👍. Plastic truck thing 👎.
Not adequate scale at 1:64 🤦🏻♂️ As they occur to make a truck that does not fit a car of its own scale, it will be that it does not fit the math Next.......!!!!!
I agree, the slide-out trailer is more of a "play" feature for kids, but it looks like they put some thought into it. And it looks like the HW Power Sander (which has been a Metal/Metal model) or the upcoming Matchbox Polaris RZR would fit nicely!

Keep taking my money Mattel!!!
I hope Hot Wheels should do the Kamaz Rally truck also
and MAZ rally truck
i hope they would do a USSR set with Gaz and Vaz
the closest you will get is tatra prolly
Absolutely! MORE Eastern European die-cast power!
@@kotelypiesely1268 I can live with that, lol~
I don’t know why, I’m getting a feeling that cybertruck would be the next casting to get this treatment

Plastic.. plastic everywhere...
Make an all metal one Zamac cobra team
Ikr .😂
The day they start producing plastic base drag buses..I will be done collecting hotwheels!
It's metallic bro
First the unimog dakar truck & now Scania truck. Perfect!

Can we get a legit car hauler?

Micah White I laughed when I first saw the retro rig hot wheels hauler
love the casting;
hopefully we'll see more of those trucks from different manufacturers in the same size. (like the mb unimog)
I can not wait to get the Scania :D
DAKKA!!!
Awesome, HW are kicking Freckle on all fronts Now.
Great preview, gotta get one.

Really got a beautiful set up and collection cars are beautiful and trucks an the whole carpark set up
Nice model,.. But alot of plastic,..and it shows!,. Too Bad,..
wait i don't get it what's so bad with the plastic?
@@SomeAT-AT ikr. These are more directed to adult collectors but at the end of the day they are toy cars.
I can't wait to add this one to my hotwheels collection. 👍
Wow! That is awsome! And it is cool to see a new line from Hot Wheels! Hopefully more stuff in the Future!!👍🤩
Another HW series that will be cool to collect. Somewhere between basic and premium models. I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with! 👍👍
Amazing release!!! I hope they come to Brazil.
Great Scania truck!
Are those FC rx7's in the background? The blue and grey ones? Can you feature those?
This Is a cool truck they could have made it designed to haul motorcycles since those would fit inside the truck bed
Aj Flament - Now that is a good idea! 👍
Put those static, superfluous motorcycles to some use.
Very nice thank you so much!
I have got to get me one of those!
I can't wait for it to hit the stores!

IVE WAITED SO LONG FOR A REAL SCALE RALLY TRUCK also 700th like
That's a novelty toy. For those that have the means, get some DCP/First Gear all metal trucks. True 1/64. There's custom versions all day on ebay.
Now every trucker in Europe will buy Hot Wheels:D
Cant wait to fill that with tungsten
Hot wheels Dakar rally truck set.
It's like the Volkswagen hauler that I saw at walmart for trackin trucks in blue and brown.

Cool truck.
Can't wait!
As Long as that scania Truck Could be taller than the Super Lifted Hot Trucks
I probably didn't pay attention to the answer for this but where will these trucks appear at?
Yeah, I dig it - but will it be available in the UK? I only ask, as I have a nice set of Greenlight wheels that need a good home...
Cool more nice stuff, how many, and hope it dosn't carry over into another year long series like transporter or vintage. Thanks for the video bra
That's awesome man
The wheels in theback roll too
I'm picking up the scania I think. I only have 9 team transports so far but I am picking up more. I love car haulers
Thing is dope!!
Rally truck with racing slicks? Nice truck, the wheels really let it down.
We need a gmc 6500 in that size next, not enough medium duty trucks on any diecast toys
Very cool
They should make the Mercedes Amg g63 6x6 and even the Hennessy VelociRaptor in this line/a line similar to this. Maybe use the big rig series
Ngl I was excited for this truck then I realized how much plastic is on it, also the wheels are horrible. It’s still cool that it’s bigger than normal tho
Fucking Awesome! I want Hot Wheels to get the Kamaz Rally Truck.
This reminds me of the MAN dump truck made by Matchbox.
This MUST be included in team transport line...
What is the dragster sitting on the ford hauler ?????
This is art. Love to see these in premium too. And Lamley... your pictures are art too. Very, very nice work. Both Mattel and Lamley.
is it on the mainline?
edit: I really hope this will be available at my country
Joshua Andrei Caldea in England there never boulevard team transport and stuff
How is it packed? What is his packaging?
Damn. Wonder if I can find a team transport truck from matchbox in walmart
Nice scania truck
Not bad, wish it was black or red though.
Damn ! Is that truth ??? HOT WHEELS MADE SCANIAA !!!??? OHHHHH YEAHHH ITS TIME I'M WAITING FOR WAS HAPPEND
I love trucks and I appreciate Hot Wheels doing this. Can you remove the rear hauler piece entirely?
is this goin to be a basic release, or is it goin to be apart of the trackin trucks series? anyone know?, I deffinatlley like for sure, bout time hotwheels gets back in the game for a truck model
Look like it can be a fire truck
What's the front engine dragster on the background, do a video on that !!
They’ve ruined the Matchbox line, expanded hotwheels and decreased matchbox . I still have all mine plus all my corgi’s and I’m 56 lol
Gonna wait till there's a real riders version . *crosses fingers*
Wil be a hit in Europe!
To each his own. Cheap looking. Fake graphics. Street style wheels. Yellow. Premium $... we’ll see.
Perfect!
Almost forgot. Thanks for the review!
Legit thought the intro soundtrack was from the Book of Eli
did this ever actually come out?
Now the question is, where should they put it. Under Mainline or Premium like Car Culture? Or even RLC?
LAMLEY!
Matchbox has a truck this similar to that new one, is called: "Desert Thunder V16"
,....So true,.. Matchbox ,..always on top!
I dig the Desert Thunder casting, but it really is closer to 1/72 or 1/87 scale, IMO.
Doesn't mean I haven't bought most of them though~ Dakar is awesome no matter what scale!
Build ups!
Only few parts is metal
Good looking truck, but dude, plastic ?? Nice wheels btw
Blister?
WINNER
Pixelated graphics and overall plastic look. I like the vehicle but not the execution.
I don't like this. Is a garbage bin one of the places it might appear?
is that going be in the hot wheels or matchbox lineup or what ...
Hot Wheels, the wheels themselves are from Hot Wheels. It'll probably be in the Hot Wheels $5 line, maybe $6.
But, but, but... the tire choice... well, sucks!
It's supposed to be a rally truck... certainly not with those tiny wheels and slick tires!
Almost perfect
Where is the Matchbox Tesla truck
But......why??
Thats 87 scale not 64😂 Don’t fit if in input with hot wheels silvia
