If you watch the award shows probably half of all acts thank Clive Davis! To me it is just a wonderfully funny observation on Todd's part that the most thanked guy in all music award shows is Clive Davis, and to include it in a song is just funny and brilliant. And Clive Davis would probably NOT support acts like Todd, not Top 40 enough.

The best part about Todd's shows is the stories. He has such an interesting way of pulling things together into a humorous cohesive theme.
