- Tori and the team explore the coast around Whitstable in North Ken, UK where they discover a 500-year-old boat beside the tide, one of only 26 of its kind in the world.
---
Every day, on a sandy beach or a rocky foreshore, fascinating historical evidence appears and disappears as the tide rolls in and rolls back out again across the British coastline. Palaeontologist Dr. Tori Herridge and experts from CITiZAN (the Coastal & Inter-tidal Archaeological Network) investigate the stories behind these intriguing remains. From abandoned villages, prehistoric footprints, shipwrecks, and submerged forests, we follow the clues to how people have survived on the coast and how they’ve learned to live alongside the sea. It is an archaeological race against time as Shoreline Detectives battle to capture a vanishing past for us all to see.

Thank you for the upload
As kids, we used to refer to it as the "Roman Road" from the then current old wives tale that it was originally a base for an attempt by the Romans to build either a road or bridge across the Thames estuary. More likely it's purely geographical, the current coming out from the river meeting the current coming in from the sea and dumping sand and shingle in the process.
im loving this show, pease upload more of it if you can
Fish weirs also cause the deposition of sand under and around them. The Street may have been helped along in it's formation by the weirs causing the water to slow around them and drop out the sediments contained with in.

For some reason google maps has edited out "the street" from its satelite images, replacing it with procedural "water surface" texture instead. Wonder what that is all about?
If you use Google Earth, adjust the date to 9/2009 by clicking the clock button in the ribbon bar at the top of the screen then move the slider (to the left). The Street is named and it shows a better look as if the tide is much lower.
You mean Google is manipulating what we are allowed to see!? Never!
Can you please turn the music off.
Why.
If you go to Google Earth click the time line icon (7 from the left) move the slider to the left to 9/2009. Your fimd the Street .

She is really pretty.
Ridiculous to claim the wreck is one of only 27 of the period in the world. The Black Sea is full of them
Coronation Street !
Music rubbish ,we want to hear your commentary
Shame about all the shit pumped into the sea now 😓
If it really were top secret then almost everyone would know absolutely nothing about it
It's 100 years later.
I heard the production crew were "disappeared" for revealing the presence of this top secret installation and are now languishing in Belmarsh prison in Julian Assange's very own cell.
