17:55 Is Bristol so far back in time they use actual STEAM ROLLERS? They stopped using them at least 75 years ago every where else! Ah bless him! Enjoyed that. All the best to all of you.
Bluddy ‘ell Charles 😮 I tackled the Grovehill junction a few weeks ago and ended up somehow going the wrong way! 🙄 I’ve been driving for 40 years but there’s no way I’d want to tackle Magic Roundabout. Well done for ‘surviving’ it 👍🏼😁🚗
The Magic Roundabout is far easier to use and more efficient than people give it credit for. You can go either way round it, from/to any exits, so If you're a regular user, you learn to work out which way will be quicker on any particular occasion. The only true Swindon souvenirs in the Tourist Information Centre are Magic Roundabout mugs and fridge magnets. For true anoraks: the roundabout is the site of the former Swindon Wharf on the Wilts & Berks Canal.
Yeah despite my many poor mistakes with the lanes, I had pretty much zero problem by just using regular roundabout logic of not staying alongside and not under or overtaking people and of course keeping speed low. If I lived in Swindon I’d make a habit of including it in a lot of my drives purely for the novelty of it 🤩
To an outsider, you make it look feasible in daylight and dry conditions, when you can actually see and follow the lines and signs. I don't think I'd willingly go anywhere near it in the rain and/or dark
I’ve been there once, and I was late for a meeting - that roundabout scared the bejeesus out of me!!! Bet it’s fantastic if you’re used to it, though. I wasn’t 😂
As a Swindonian, the only real issue is turning onto Queen's Drive from Drove Road or County Road, I don't think anyone knows what lane, I always used to use far left, but now wondering if that's for turning left only, but often you'll get cars that you think will take right hand lane onto Queens Drive and then cut across. Also I and about 30 cars behind me had got stuck in a stand-off on Stockwood Hill. I was going uphill and the car behind didn't see the giveway lines on road, so I reversed back so they could park behind give way lione so van that was coming down could carry on. This woman refused to move, there are now another van behind first van and then another 5 vehicles. After sitting for about 20 mins, I turned around, going back down the hill, there was now a queue of at least 30 cars.
19:37 “I need a thicker knob” - I know Alexi meant well, but it was just the way she said it that cracked me up ! 😂 I sympathise with you, I really do ! ROFL
I've only ever met someone coming round it the wrong way once in about 20 years of living in Swindon. At 07:55 you were actually in the wrong lane so good job you didn't beep at that van. There is another bus lane in Swindon that is often in the news with the headline of drivers saying they won't return to Swindon after getting a ticket. Like you, they didn't see the signs.
The only markings you have are "Town Centre" which is the same as lane 3. The only way you know which way to go is cross referencing against the road signs. A left turn only arrow would be helpful in lane 2. I've been trying to go to the town centre from lane 3 and had someone in lane 2 cut across me before. Being able to take what is in effect the first exit (of the mini roundabout) from lane 3 of 3 does seem a little strange but when you consider the roundabout as a whole you are going straight on (2nd exit) from lane 3 when lane one is 1st exit only so it does make sense (in a way). No wonder drivers find it confusing 😅
11:47 it’s more of a local thing to just not go up there but may i ask where you planned to go up that road 🤔. I also agree with the lack of signage and road markings from people who don’t live in swindon, either way you navigated the magic roundabout better than i expected even with Benjis bird brain in the car 🤣
7:55 f*ck it, at least he watches my videos 👏
It's soo nice to see Benji and the Mrss, wish they would restart their chanel❤ . Love you🎉, miss them😢

Huh, funnily enough as I’m literally talking about a lack of markings too… middle lane, no markings, can only go left. Logic 🤯

@@kempy7923yeah it’s at the best slightly confusing but not world-endingly terrifying like The Sun make it out to be 😂
Great to see all you guys back together ❤❤
Now it's time for you to come and drive on the M8 through Glasgow and its junctions... It's pure organised chaos.
A Scotland visit is on my to-do list 🤩

Oh guys the Magic has to be done at about 5pm till 6 for full affect it gets a bit hairy .
Some day I’ll return…
As an Aussie the UK roads terrify me. I think you all are great drivers for simply driving on them every day.

Tell Benji we all miss him and Alexi.
Charles ,Benji and misus did you know that the Royal Mail got fined for not meeting delivery times recently
15:51 - is that white van facing towards the camera actually PARKED on a corner at a junction ???!!! Wow ! That’s entitled ! 🤪
I never came across Dougal nor any of his pals. Can't think why 😂
Where is "ZPP" ?
