Defoe is one of the only people I actually call a legend , the word legend gets thrown around to much , but this man is class on and off the pitch , he spends his personal time (unpaid) playing ball in the streets with kids , time for all fans , visits sick children in hospitals , charity work the list goes on and all out of the media's eye ...true gentleman, class act , legend ...and as always coys 🐓💙

The story of young Harry Kane and Jermain Defoe kicking ball keeps on reminding me that Defoe is a real one. He even came to my school after England were knocked out of the world cup. None of us knew he would turn up.

Jermain Defoe is such an exemplary man both on and off the pitch. Growing up as a young spurs fan he is a player I idolised for sure. At spurs we are so lucky to have such humble and great men who play for our club. Just as I idolised Defoe I know for sure there are many who are doing the same right now with Kane. Both top class guys and top class strikers. COYS

Watching this is surreal to me, Defoe was the first striker I fell in love with at Spurs, and to see him talking with Harry who has filled the boots of Defoe to be a better player is amazing! The respect they have for each other is great to see
Just imagine how it felt watching him at Rangers bro. Wish I could link you to the goal against Celtic. Long ball over top from behind as he's running one on one with their keeper. As the ball hits the ground, his foot traps it and sends it around the goalkeeper, blindly.

I started following the club for dembele modric and vandervaart, then came bale then eriksen but kane is the reason ill never not be spurs. To watch an awkward slow young striker (that if we’re honest, we doubted early on) become the complete destroyer he is today has been a real joy.

You're right, I doubted Kane in his early days when Harr playing him in this Europa league. I kept thinking "this kid isn't going to be good enough why are we persevering with him?". I am so pleased he proved me wrong.

My son was at Bournemouth back in 2000 Jermaine came up to me at the Spurs v Man U game last Oct, i was behind the goal as the players were coming into the stadium, he shook me by the hand i travelled over from Florida to watch the game, i was smiling all the way home what a Guy, Legend.
