Oh my god. I am from Serbia, I live in the city that has significant Roma population and they are not discriminated. I am not saying that discrimination is non existent but it's an exception. I don't know who made that list. We have bad government, dictator for a president, but safety is on a very high level and discrimination is on a very low level. Roma people for example have more benefits when they choose higschool. The thing is, a lot of them choose to love in the slum and they don't want to work. Before watching this video, I was expecting countries such as Britain and the USA to be included. At the very least SOME 'white' countries. In some ways I'm surprised to not see this, in other ways no. "Racism" isn't limited or confined to 'whites,' never has never will be. It could exist anywhere. I'm not 'politically-correct' so I don't believe racism is a "cardinal sin, the worst sin ever" like all of society does these days....but I don't feel I'm inherently racist, either. Sometimes, perhaps more often than not racism is pure bigotry and prejudice....but other times it could be due to the fact that certain ethnicities do feel inclined to 'look down' on other races for certain reasons that makes sense to them, sometimes these reasons are only 'half-truths' sometimes however there are actual 'logical' reasons.....
Japan is known for being xenophobic, they don't really want people to move there. Who aren't Japanese in general. The people that he put on this list are countries that are oppressing minorities inside of the country, basically treating them like second or third class citizens. There's a big difference. In Japan. They might be a little bit rude and ask when you're going to go home or not. Want you to be there but they're not going to be oppressive towards you in the same way that these places would be. Japan is very xenophobic but I just don't think it really compares with countries that are super hostile towards their own people they are a different ethnic background I thought Japan has a hard time being one of the more racist countries because it's all One race so there's not a lot of racism to go around. They just don't want other races to come there.

@@andyjay729 I mean a big reason for that is that Japan is literally dying because they're not having kids and people don't really feel comfortable living there. There is a documentary about Brazilians who are ethnically Japanese or at least partly ethnically Japanese, back in the early 2000s. They let them return to Japan and gave them subsidies and stuff because they wanted to up the birth rate. But they wanted to bring back in Japanese people with Japanese blood. But a lot of those people didn't feel really safe in the country and they experienced a lot of racism and that was a big deal. They didn't feel super comfortable living there. At least that's from the documentary I watched and that was probably 17 years ago so who knows how accurate that information was. I was just a teenager but I always found it pretty interesting
@roltthehunter A non Japanese friend of mine moved from the US to Japan just this year. The immigration bureaucracy has been pretty sluggish, but so far she likes it a lot, and also feels a lot safer there after dark. Also, her daughter started 1st grade there, and her classmates have been really friendly.

I don't know who made that list. We have bad government, dictator for a president, but safety is on a very high level and discrimination is on a very low level. Roma people for example have more benefits when they choose higschool. The thing is, a lot of them choose to love in the slum and they don't want to work. In my city, its usual for them to send kids to work on the streets. Roma people who wants to go to school or work love just like any other maj or woman. Albanians are not so common here so I can't say about them. But putting Serbia on list like this is a nonsense. It shouldn't be in first 30. I want to move out from here, I don't like many things here, but I can't accept this really. There are some violence between football fans and some violence toward lgbt population. But even that is nit that big. I am disgusted with this list really.

Japan has it ingrained into their laws that those that are half Japanese are considered lesser people. Also, indigenous Japanese face harsh discrimination. They are mostly Caucasian looking and now only exist in the northern island, they have been exterminated pretty much in the rest of the country....
China: did you miss what they have done to the uighur minorities and the Falun gong? The United Nations recognizes that both people have been heavily discriminated against, in prisoned, and even had their organs harvested unwillingly....

I am sorry, but this list is just wrong in my opinion. So many countries that should have been here with real, deadly racism that happens every day, and they were not even mentioned. Before watching this video, I was expecting countries such as Britain and the USA to be included. At the very least SOME 'white' countries.

"Racism" isn't limited or confined to 'whites,' never has never will be. It could exist anywhere.
I'm not 'politically-correct' so I don't believe racism is a "cardinal sin, the worst sin ever" like all of society does these days....but I don't feel I'm inherently racist, either.
Sometimes, perhaps more often than not racism is pure bigotry and prejudice....but other times it could be due to the fact that certain ethnicities do feel inclined to 'look down' on other races for certain reasons that makes sense to them, sometimes these reasons are only 'half-truths' sometimes however there are actual 'logical' reasons.....

Japan is known for being xenophobic, they don't really want people to move there. Who aren't Japanese in general. The people that he put on this list are countries that are oppressing minorities inside of the country, basically treating them like second or third class citizens. There's a big difference. In Japan. They might be a little bit rude and ask when you're going to go home or not. Want you to be there but they're not going to be oppressive towards you in the same way that these places would be. Japan is very xenophobic but I just don't think it really compares with countries that are super hostile towards their own people they are a different ethnic background
I thought Japan has a hard time being one of the more racist countries because it's all One race so there's not a lot of racism to go around. They just don't want other races to come there.

@@andyjay729 I mean a big reason for that is that Japan is literally dying because they're not having kids and people don't really feel comfortable living there. There is a documentary about Brazilians who are ethnically Japanese or at least partly ethnically Japanese, back in the early 2000s. They let them return to Japan and gave them subsidies and stuff because they wanted to up the birth rate. But they wanted to bring back in Japanese people with Japanese blood. But a lot of those people didn't feel really safe in the country and they experienced a lot of racism and that was a big deal. They didn't feel super comfortable living there. At least that's from the documentary I watched and that was probably 17 years ago so who knows how accurate that information was. I was just a teenager but I always found it pretty interesting
@roltthehunter A non Japanese friend of mine moved from the US to Japan just this year. The immigration bureaucracy has been pretty sluggish, but so far she likes it a lot, and also feels a lot safer there after dark. Also, her daughter started 1st grade there, and her classmates have been really friendly.
Have to admit it: I was really surprised that Serbia made #1 on the list. I know the history between them and kosovar Albanians is hostile, to put it mildly, and history hasn't been very kind to Serbs, Croatians and others from ex-yugoslavia, but it's just too much. Why weren't China, Japan and other countries not on the list? Usually your videos are great, interesting and informative, but I'm not so sure about this one.
