I love my town and will def miss it when I leave, but I'm so over the traffic. That I'll never miss lol. The amount of apartment complexes that have been built across LI the passed few years is crazy. It's sad to think about how eventually all the farm land and open land out East will turn into housing developments too. It only takes 2-3 hours to get to city now a days give it a couple years it should only take 4-5 hours to reach Brooklyn lol.
Listen you have to embrace what is and not look back. Trust me my parents had tiny apartment in Farmingdale proper in mid 50s... there were bars then too. And I grew up there. Pizza parlors and bars were there in 70s too. My favorite spot growing up was going to Moby Drugs with my mom because they loved my mom there and the hippie store on main street for cargo pants and overalls and peasant blouses. I didn't know it was also a head shop too because that also went over my head. LOL.
