Theres a few innovation product development labs out there, where it’s not phD or academic focused, just plain building cool products that are venture backed. Quite a few exist
I won't try to give you any advice since you've obviously taken steps of your own, but one thing I'll say is, you gotta milk that PhD as much as you can. If for nothing else than the fact that it'll make you look smart. But there's also technical skills you gained during your degree that are definitely worth 6 figure to many companies out there.
Thank you for your comment! I love it! I agree that I have my unique information advantage coming from my PhD and years of experience in academia! Thank you for watching!
what about research.. please can you make videos about your research and what you did in your phd? I am in Cybersecurity, that means I don't need job to make money... but I want to pursue neuroscience for the sake of curiousity.. please make videos about your struggles during your phd...
My PhD research focused on understanding the role of noradrenergic systems in motor learning and motor cortical plasticity. All PhD research is extremely specialized; for example, I am a neuroscientist specializing in the motor system, so I don't know much about the visual or auditory systems. If you are interested in general neuroscience, taking some online courses or doing a master's degree would be better. But if you would like to deep dive into a specific neuroscience topic, a PhD is the way to go.
