My family did the same thing on the same beach in the 1950s, 65 years ago. Only a few caravans there in those days. When there was a wet spell and the sea was rough, we dammed the river and were able to row our small boats in the lake that formed. We still build dams a few miles away in Derrynane with our grandchildren, to keep the sea back from the area where we sit on the beach. Well done 🥰
I am so inspired by you guys building dams me and my little cousins even made around it wasn’t big but it was fun spending time with my cousin and my sister at the beach thank you for getting me inspired and you guys are good at teaching and also showing kids and a good example and also for being a great survival skill person to feel how to make good dams and also me and my cousins made a big one last time and we swim in it like it was a pool ty so much for being my person who I look up to you to always show me how to do cool project projects with my family thank you
The boys... i doubt that you find many girls who are interested in that hard work and who want to see the destruction of the wall.... some things never change because we ARE different (men/woman)
This video brought me so much joy! Big thanks from Sweden. But what happened to the red and yellow buckets from the little dam, did they get washed out to sea??
Dams! Love building them even to this day. 47 now haha. Great work and effort guys! Might I suggest a "sluice gate" drift wood or a bit of plastic with rocks and seaweed at either end lets you build the dam around it and maintain its "Sluice" when you lift it out and the water flows in a tight controlled outflow. It also means when you want to fill it again, you just put the gate back to stem the water and flow. Continued success and fun in this brilliant pass/playtime. It's good for seeing how water flows and erodes too.
Me too... the "hard work" is boring, but the fun when it breaks is way better.... hours of hard work just to look into 5 minutes of destruction. If i only could use fireworks to blow it up (in germany this isn´t allowed, not even for a pro like me in this area) Our sea sides have some of the most beautiful locations for this, but you always have to fear dumb morons who want to destroy what you have...
Too bad it's the wrong shape and wrong material. That will make it too weak. Use the wet sand to build the dam and compact it and arch it the other way around. The longer it stays the better.
Grandma here says you young men are doing a great job, the best way to learn is to do it. Great jobs on both of these videos. Nice.😆💫👏💪🙋🐠🐡🦈🐙🐚🐟🦭🦭🦭🐋🐳Hi Guys; Such a wonderful job, builds up your upper body strength as well. This one is so much more advanced, than the last one. The more you do, the more you can do. Keep up the great work we really love to watch you build without being in the wind and wet. Too much for Nana and I live in SW Washington, on the beach. Fun!

Очень зрелищно, понимаю ребят, как это интересно. А местные власти не против такой потери части пляжа?
