These guys invited me to play my solo acoustic set as support for them in Hungary a few years back. It was a very nice evening. I really liked their music. Nice guys as well. We were having drinks and good conversation backstage after the show when the promoter came backstage and told us Ronny James Dio just died. We all fell silent and sad and that was about the end of the evening for everyone. Cheers guys. Hope to meet you again

Vynikající muzika, kterou sleduji od počátku. Od Out of Myself po nejnovější Shrine of New Generation Slaves. Skvělá muzika od našich polských bratrů. My češi můžeme jen upřímně závidět. Progess světové úrovně a jak už někdo napsal nedoceněná kapela. Ale to se ještě uvidí......Doufám

To moim zdaniem ich najlepszy album w karierze. Nigdy nie brzmieli tak dobrze. Z tym Wilsonem to tylko twoje odczucie. Ja tam nie słyszę, żadnych powiązań z jego twórczością chyba, że mówimy o inspiracji prog rockiem lat 70. To słychać w muzyce Wilsona i Riverside.
the more I listen to the piece, the more i love it - this is the type of music, that 'grows' in course of time; so do not trust your first impression - mine was not so good, but NOW I know it's great
Dokładnie, wg mnie ich twórczość była podobna w pewnym momencie (zapewne właśnie wspólne "korzenie" muzyczne), ale oboje (Wilson i Riverside) odeszli już od daleko od siebie. Jakoś nie słyszę tu Wilsona z Blackfield albo Damnation z Opethem.

Listened to the shorter single version they had streamed and wasn't too impressed at first. After listening to the uncut version, I love this song and the direction the band have taken with this album. I can't wait to get this the day it comes out! Between this and the new Steven Wilson album, this year is already looking awesome for new music.

Pierwszy raz usłyszałem Riverside jako niepodpisane piosenki na jakiejś płycie z mp3. Muzyka której słuchanie wpędza w depresję. Wiele powiązań z Porcupine Tree - jednak granie mocniejsze o 2 tony.
Kto nie idzie do przodu, ten się cofa. Płytka niech i będzie inna. Singiel nie zawodzi, a teledysk momentami wybitny (zachowując pewne proporcje). Czekamy do piątku :).

Po tym singlu jestem niestety pelen zlych przeczuc co do SONGS. Ten utwor to wedlug mnie najslabszy utwor Riversow jaki kiedykolwiek nagrali. Oby plyta stala na duuuuzo wyzszym poziomie...
I agree that the guys are super nice and easy to talk to once you get over being intimidated. I was so moved after their concert at ROSFest, that I cried on Mariusz. I was really embarassed but he later talked to me and shared a story that put me at ease.

After Memories In My Head came out, I was just a tad worried Riverside may have gone down a bit. Needless to say, Celebrity Touch and the rest of Shrine of New Generation Slaves calmed every last worry I had. This is absolutely wonderful.
jak zwykle świetnie, zresztą cała płyta zapowiada sie zajebiscie, z tego co udało mi się słyszeć. bardziej hardrockowo momentami. no cóż, ja kocham hard rocka ;) a i klimat wczesniejszych plyt zachowany. nigdy nie czaiłem porownań do dream theater, ale juz przy tej okazji są tak bardzo od czapy, że aż dziwie sie, że komus to przyszlo do glowy.

Im a fan of Riverside since second life syndrome and i enjoy all his albums but i must say, i enjoy more their melodic songs not their hard rock ones.
