Herbert Austin's Office at Longbridge - archive film

Herbert Austin's Office at Longbridge is presented by group member and one-time official Longbridge Site Historian Anthony Osborne. The film is a virtual guided tour of Lord Austin's historic office at Longbridge.
This short film starring Anthony was made by the MG Rover Group in 2002. Known by the workforce as "The Old Man's Office", it was the place where many of Austin’s most important decisions were made.
With the demise of MG Rover Group, the Office remained in the Exhibition Hall until MG Motor withdrew from most of the Longbridge site and it was removed to the British Motor Museum where, once reassembled, it was officially unveiled in March 2024. It has been reassembled next to the recreated Lord Nuffield’s office. Do go along to the museum to see them both.
