Yet another! I love how you alter the technique for each different type of smart key...punching out the logo area after construction is a smart way to go! Love love this waxy pull-up leather. Can you find a VW Jetta-type smart key, where the key part folds into the plastic cover?? It pops out the side. A friend has that car, want to make a case when my surgery heals up enough. That gives you time to find a similar key. 😀🤩

I see that you've used another wetforming leather technique. Which one do you recommend - or produces a better result?
You can use both way , but In my opinion mold is better. My goal was without a mold and I am still studying :)

**Because you're fabricating the cover flat before you mold it to the smart key, do you have to over cut the pattern or does the leather stretch to fit?
Thanks bro, I made pattern a bit bigger. and wet forming makes leather flexible. Hope it helps!

It's already got shiny surface but after wet forming it gets more i think. :)

Hey Hahns, how do you import the exact size of the key in illustrator and scale it to the size of the key?
I assume its based on the pattern in the background. If you know the size of the squares you can scale them to their originial size and the rest is going be the correct size as well

Is it possible to rework "treated" leather? Say, for example, sofa sample swatch scraps? In this same process as within this video…
Most of the time sofas use fake leather, but you can still try. Though id recommend buying good leather in small quantities since you don't need much for watch straps.
Hi! for forming leather, You need to use veg tanned leather hard-type or semi hard type.

Do you have my glue list? It's hard to say, they are using many ways. some people just using only one glue . If you have to buy only one, I recommend kenda :)

В любом векторном редакторе. Хоть в Corel Draw. Другой вопрос, как автор вычисляет запас на усадку и как он из фото получает реальный размер... Но этого он не скажет, разумеется. Ноу-хау, как никак.
