@@natlikitekat6727 I would love to share, but 2020 - and still now into 2021 - I’ve been experiencing health issues that prevented me from doing much scrapbooking or video editing. Plus I was running an Etsy shop most of 2020, so I don’t have many projects that I made. Don’t know if you saw, I had flip throughs for 2017 & 2018. Here’s a playlist of flip throughs: th-cam.com/play/PLuBcX5AmsEtYFhawTpATTK4eCINDRO4Td.html Thanks so much for watching and your feedback! I hope to resolve my health issues and get back to scrapbooking and sharing this year. 🤞🏼
@@whimsyfox I just discovered your channel and I am in love and impressed! What an artist you are! :) hope your health is better now 😘 Wish you the best!
I loved everything about these...such creativity is found in these...TFS all of them. I am creating a lot of layouts here lately for all my selfies because documenting me is now a priority as my years pass and the paper lines and companies are creating such beautiful products to use and I am loving the results for sure!
You are my favorite “style” so far that I’ve seen from any of the youtubers I’ve watched . What I like the most about your style is that you add a lot of embellishments while still maintaining multiple pictures and journaling . It feels like most people do layouts that are hugely detailed for one picture and don’t even bother to journal it. As a mom of two little boys, I find the stories and the multiple pictures to tell the stories very important . I have never done stitching , and don’t have a sewing background , but I love how it looks . How would you suggest someone without experience in stitching or “cut files” ( that look amazing ) get started with some of that. Also, I have zero idea what vellum is or how to really use it . It’s one of those things I see in the craft store and don’t know what to do with it. Thanks for the amazing inspiration !
Hi Allie! Thank you so much for your lovely words! Sorry it’s taken a bit to reply. I actually have an Etsy shop that I opened end of last year, and it’s taking all my time, hence I haven’t been on YT much lately. One of the things I design for my shop is cut files! Not only do I sell digital versions, I actually sell physical versions that cut and mail to you as well! And I have stitched goodies! I started off with little tabs and with my last release, I started doing stitched backgrounds. So, to answer your question, go visit my shop whimsyfoxcrafts.etsy.com 😁 As for vellum, I currently have numbers and some confetti shapes cut from gold and silver vellum, and plan to have more vellum designs. In the past, I’ve stamped or printed words on vellum, or used vellum shapes. Basically use them just like die cuts. In this flipthru video, there are stamped vellum circle elements in the Traveler’s notebook spread that has a photo of my daughter’s hand. I also print my journaling on vellum and cut them into strips a lot. I even did that in the Christmas layout that had journaling along a circle between the folded leaves from a wreath cut file. (that was more advanced using photoshop and my Silhouette to get it along a circular path) And the layout with the big heart cut file that has speech bubbles, the autumn sayings that line some of the speech bubbles are printed on vellum. But if you want a lot of vellum inspiration, go follow @littlethingsbigdays on Instagram. She uses vellum very often and I’m always blown away with her creativity. I hope that answers some of your questions, and go check out my Etsy shop to get started on cut files and stitching, without having to get the machines or do the work yourself. 😉 There’s a sale right now!
I really adore your work, it's beautiful and most of all individual. Many people I see tend to do the very same on every single spread, but your's are different and each stands for itself. I'm just starting to creatively organize my photographs and I'm wondering what you do with the backsides of the pages. It seems you do not use them. But if you put all this in an album, will you put the pages back to back or does one see the blank backside of the page before in the next double?
toteZitrone sorry, I didn’t see this until now. Thanks for your kind words! No, I don’t use the backsides. Since my albums are 3 ring binder style, I can move things around whenever I file away new layouts or decide on a different way to order them. I tend to have pages back to back, although it doesn’t bother me when I do have blank pages. If there’s a backside that bothers me, I put a pretty patterned paper there as a placeholder. 🙂
