ATS Setting up a New Wheel and Shifter in ATS

- This little tutorial explains how to set up a steering wheel, pedals and shifter in ATS. Would work for ETS as well. I'll also explain some of the basics of using a range and splitter transmission configuration. A more detailed video focusing entirely on shifting will follow.

In control set. Do you know how to add more than 6 items controler in control column setting?
No I don't. There is information available on how to do it though. What I did to get a sixth input was wire my shift knob into one of my 3 arduino boards.
Im haveing an issue woth mine were none of my controles will render and when the wheel hook up the mouse dose nothing can someone help me woth that lol
I guess the first step is to see If your computer recognizes the wheel.
Anyone have it working with fanatec CSL and pedals?
do you know why in ats with g920 i dont get the wheel to return back enough it goes slow and force feedback seems minimal force
The force feedback is pretty dismal for sure.

Should have watched this earlier. Tried to set up my shifter and boy did I open me a can of worms.like to have never got my automatic transmission back . I'll rewatch it again and try to get my shifter set up. I've had it for a number years and I never used it.

How much did the whole setup cost you???
I really have no idea. I might have got the wheel and pedals on sale at $50 off (G29 without shifter). The shifter is a TH8A and they don't give
those away. The steering wheel was around $100 on Amazon I think. I made the adapter. The Eaton Fuller Shift Knob is a real one I converted. It was around $120. All the switches and encoders probably cost $35. The two Leo Bodnar BU0836X USB boards were 50 pounds each (from the UK). The standard USB controller board was about $10. The clock was $50. The dash panel is made from an old aluminum computer case and a buddy gave me the wood I used to re-face it with. $20 in Schluter edging. It all adds up to what I don't know.
Sorry to be so vague but it all came together bit by bit over a few years so I am just going by memory which is down a few MHz these days.

Anyone know my truck accelerates by itself? I’ve fixed the axis
I'm having the same problem with the pedals showing solid yellow lines through the deadzone axis' on my G29 wheel on ETS2. It;s possibly due to the use of combine axis pedal settings in the logitech profiler software. I tried changing the settings from normal to inverted like Dan McNarry showed in this video and it makes no difference as the gas is effectvely pushed to the floor without me tocuhing the pedal as soon as I put the truck in gear.

@@michaezell4607 I’ll be home in a couple hours so I’ll definitely show ya. I had to play with the normal and inverted settings so the truck would actually drive correctly
@@_.flight._1030 i would love to know how to fix this as well. i just got a g920 wheel the other day and ive been having the same issues.
