Cool but in photoshop or affinity photo or photopea (free), you could just get the image, write your text and make it vertical, then bring in a rectangle covering half of the image, then set the text as a mask for the rectangle, which also eliminates human error in the process, and making it way easier

This can be done in illustrator in 3 clicks with any typeface. Too hard in Canva
Yes I agree, It is much faster on Photoshop too but I wanted to show how to create this effect using Canva for most non-designers wanting to get a similar look 🙂

Canva is not great - it limits so much. But great clipping mask, could have done that in three steps on Adobe - plus then you have the rights to your product - unlike Canva
Ha ha. Jinx! Amazing how much harder this is in Canva. Why would any designer do it in Canva?? 🤷🏼♀️

Bad tedious technique - what if your name is: "Mark Zuckerberg"??? You do this 15 times, and then you miss place it, and you need to move all by 10 pixel you do it again...
Canva should support such feature in better way - hopefully soon and free, as for it is quite basic!
