Well said. Thank you for your clarity and actions with the trees in the past. I have run courses called Earth Singers encouraging people to really connect with where they live through recognising that everything is alive and deserves respect and consideration. We used singing, shamanic work, local research, direct action, developing 'songlines' and areas which we take an active interest in. I know the work has profoundly affected those who took part. Doing something, making a start to reconnect!
What is my role as a healer to this planet? I am a forester, I plan for future generations of people and forests. I evaluate what this land was before people entered it, the damage that has been done throgh past management activies, and I propose solutions, healing the legacy effects and promting a healthy future for the forest. I feel comfort knowing that I can do this at the same time as I offset use of non-renewable resources, and increase CO2 sequestration from the atmosphere.
