LOL - just brought back yesterday 2 bags of Pfandflaschen to the store. Usually I don't do it more than 2 or 3 times a year.
Please note, we have to types of Pfandflaschen - single use and reusable. If possible I always try to buy reusable bottles preferably glas bottles. In other words:
reusable glas bottle > reusable plastic bottle > single use glas bottle > single use plastic bottle

In Germany, there are a few restaurants and pubs where you can park right in front of them. Come and visit us in our beautiful country. We would be very happy to welcome such nice people to Germany. You always make very nice videos, you are simply super likeable

Another great reaction. Would be cool to see you both reacting to „How anyone (including you) can read German“ by RobWords. :)

9:06 "So they don't have urinals"
In my opinion the statement "in Germany many men sit down to pee" isn't accurate and should be "in Germany many men sit down to pee in private homes".
If there's a urinal (and most of the time in a public bathroom there will be) I will use it. But in my own home or when I visit friends or family I sit down to pee.

As a German I don't like ice in my drinks. It too cold for me and it waters the drink of my choice down. Why should I pay, as example, 3 € for a coke where only half of the cup is really coke and the rest ist ice? When I go to Burger King I always have to say "without ice, please" because the fastfood chains use ice by standard, which I hate. xD

I'm glad that y'all are so interested in the German culture!! After visiting Germany quite a few times, I enjoy people's videos where they want to learn about Germany's culture.
Y'all really need to experience the Christmas markets in Cologne, Germany. Please do a reaction to the video about them below.

About the staring: I think this mostly happens during conversations that Germans look the other person in the eye uncomfortably long. I‘m german and it sometimes even freaks me out a bit. If it happens in the wild, let‘s say on a bus or at the checkout line, I‘m just daydreaming not even realizing I‘m looking at you. I‘m actually looking through you if that makes any sense. I‘ve also never had that happen for as long as it is depicted in the video.

i also think it's more of a "hollow stare".
we might be thinking about something totally different, like what you i'd eat today, stuff to do etc.
you just happen to be in the direction of my eyes.

If I remember correctly you Americans have a 8:1 ratio of parking spots compared to 1,5:2 in whole Europe

Could you please stop the video when YOU are going to say something? As a German I am only able to understand ONE person speaking English. 😂

      Depends..
At home where I clean the toilet I always stand.
When I'm a guest somewhere (not public, there are pissoirs) I'll sit down. And actually I expect my guests to do so..

    • @marcheydorn5504

Pissoir = you stand. Toilet = sit down. Most of the men here in the north of Germany sit down while peeing.

I don't know where she has that toilet thing from but here in Germany definitley most men are standing while peeing.

This is more about what men do when peeing at home. Of course men pee standing up in public bathrooms, but at home a log of men pee sitting down because it's more sanitary.
