I think 10:07 is my favorite part of the video by far. Also I dunno why the green screen broke during the Yogg Saron part, but we're rolling with it IT GIVES IT CHARACTER. And to answer the question of the week I've posed, I definitely prefer the new model 1000x more than old model. Blizzard done good there. Let me know what you think!
I don't like her new model, it looks like a really crappy raid finder recolour of a set. I don't have an issue the model itself but it's *way* too busy and cluttered. Her old armour had 3 colours, gold, dark red, and purple, the later two being quite similar in colour. The new set has gold, red, black, grey, and white. It looks really amateur and weird! If her new high-res armour was limited to less colours and was recoloured to be red, purple and gold I think it would look *so* much better and less like someone just chucked a bunch of colours onto her. She full on Outland clownsuit armour at the moment. Also, she looks a lot better in the loading screen artwork as she has less gold and the gold she has isn't 30cm thick giant slabs. Oh, bring back that cool see-through cape, it was unique to her and Ysera and was dope.
I do genuinely like the new model, but deep down I was hoping for some sort of cultural uniformity for dragons. Back with Ysera's and Alexstrasza's original model I sort of justified it in my head because of Nozdormu, all 3 of them were wearing... well, not much. I assumed it was a dragon cultural thing, but clearly, it was not, lol. Honestly, the new model is great, it's well designed, if not a bit too colorful, but when they were doing redesigns I genuinely hoped that every aspect would be changed so that they fit a theme. Obviously, the culture of dragons differs between flights, but the dragonflights never truly "separated", they all seemingly hung out in northrend together on the top of a very big tower, so societal norms should have technically remained between all of them. Alexstrasza is wearing some cool, weird-tailed armor stuff. Ysera is dressed like a robed night elf, Nozdormu is still shirtless, Kalegos looks like he walked out of his college mage lecture, and Wrathion is in Indian garb of some sort. And while all of this is fine it doesn't seem to fit any kind of dragon culture, and while its no doubt there'd be SOME deviance between flights it shouldn't be drastically different. Like I said above, regionally they didn't separate all that much (assuming Northrend was, in fact, some sort of 'dragon home base' until the isles showed themselves again.) ... Despite the rant, yes, I think it looks cool, haha. I just deep down had hoped that it would lean into some dragon-esq culture and instead it just seems like "rule of cool" armor.
Not only was that Wintergarde rescue mission worse in OG WotLK because you had to do it 10 times, BUT YOU ALSO HAD TO COMPETE WITH EVERYONE ELSE DOING THAT QUEST
@@Hopefullylast I feel this so much. I remember when the Fel Reaver in Hellfire Peninsula was actually dangerous because your render distance was just barely large enough to just barely see it coming before it aggro'd and 1-shot you.

Yea I did UC raid on my classic character to get the footage for this vid and it is really neat. And with time walking now implying that those quests are in the past anyway, it’d be nice to see it come back.
The achievements I'm working on this week are the two PVP chest achievements - Gurubashi Arena Grand Master and Darkmoon Dominator. I also plan on doing them each one more time after I get the achievements to get the heirlooms. I find it's easiest to do them around 9 pm - 3 am, when nobody's on.
Those achievements are impossible unless you are in an organized group of like 10-20 people who trade wins during the course of a few weeks. Even during Shadowlands when the player count was the lowest, and during nights these arenas were dominated by one premade group.
@@19Szabolcs91 I've found that to not be the case - so far, I've completed the Darkmoon achievement + gotten the trinket. and I'm 9/13 for the Gurubashi one! (I'm also not on a dead server, I think? It used to be a full server, but nowadays it's more of a medium sized server)

Err last I checked (like 2 weeks ago), all of the wrathgate and the undercity invasion stuff is still in the game. I have 2 level 80 chars and did it on both of them.
Grizzly Hills has a better progession on Horde. It flows a lot more natually. But the main reason it's loved is the relaxing ambience compared to every other zone that expansion.
I like the new character model with her cute freckles. Lmao I do still love grizzly hills but most of my love of the zone is the aesthetic and music. The questing experience is alright.
THANK YOU for saying this. You're so brave. And you're so right! I enjoyed Grizzly Hills back in ye olde wrath days and I enjoyed it again when I ran an alt or two through the zone while leveling. But I simply don't think it is the Most Zone Of All Time. My take on Alexstrasza however is even more controversial so I shall keep that to myself 😂 Another great video! Loved the humor in this one.
When I was recently leveling through Chromie time I reached Grizzly Hills and was confused as well with the quest completion, and felt like a heretic for questioning Grizzly Hills tbh. Also new Alexstrasza is best, somehow the added clothing made her sexier.
@@Hopefullylast Grizzly Hills is only really remembered for the ambiance and a handful of quests. It's a great zone to just grind mobs/do a bit of questing between BG's, not so good when you want to binge the content.

@Martin Olivares Incorrect. You are correct, Probably the game may had been mostly done by the time merger went through probably. This is from Wikipedia: Around 2006, Kotick reached out to Jean-Bernard Lévy, the CEO of the French media conglomerate Vivendi. Vivendi at that time had the games division Vivendi Games, a holding company principally for Sierra Entertainment and Blizzard Entertainment. Kotick wanted to get access to Blizzard's World of Warcraft, a successful MMO, and suggested a means to acquire this to Lévy. Lévy instead offered that he would be willing to merge Vivendi Games with Activision, but only if Vivendi kept majority control of the merged company. According to those close to Kotick, Kotick was concerned about this offer as it would force him to cede control of Activision. However, after talking to Blizzard's CEO Mike Morhaime, Kotick recognized that Vivendi would be able to give them inroads into the growing video game market in China.[25] Kotick proposed the merger to Activision's board, which agreed to it in December 2007. The new company was to be named Activision Blizzard and would retain its central headquarters in California. Bobby Kotick of Activision was announced as the new president and CEO, while René Penisson of Vivendi was appointed chairman.[26] The European Commission permitted the merger to take place in April 2008, approving that there weren't any EU antitrust issues in the merger deal.[27] On July 8, 2008, Activision announced that stockholders had agreed to merge, and the deal closed the next day for an estimated transaction amount of US$18.9 billion.[28]
