I also had my classic flap chain extended by leather surgeons. Best decision ever. I made my 23" and I'm 5'4" size12. I wish I made it 22". Not only is the crossbody great, so is the double chain on the shoulder.
The new length looks much better on your body frame. I only own one classic flap. I don’t think I would change the length of my strap because it looks ok cross body on my body frame. Enjoy 💕
I'm considering doing this for my classic flap. I want to wear it crossbody. I think it looks shorter crossbody on you, but I think when I send it to a leather surgeon, I want the strap to drop lower to hit my waist.

I have only used the classic flap a few times since I bought it. It falls off my shoulder constantly and is so annoying. I really appreciate you sharing your experience. I think I am going to extend my strap! Do you find it easier to use the bag (get items into and out of it) when it is cross body?
Yeah same for me. I was feeling terrible after spending so much money on them and really like how they look but couldn’t make the strap work. The longer length makes it so much easier to get in and out of the bag. I don’t have to bend my arms in weird angles to get the flap open. The double flap is still annoying but sooo much better now.

Right!? I should measure to confirm but just eyeing them it sure looks shorter. I still love it though 😀
