      Big 형! Amazing storyteller. Been a fan since the beginning and took in as many bits of scraps I could learn about you along the way. This was a major reveal in the best way to hear so much about you and from you. Kid from Korea with the Keith Murray energy! On my top ten greatest rappers anywhere list

      I never understood people who really believe in manifestation or anything like that until i see this. You are the firat that can explain such an abstract concept to me. I don't know if this concept is applicable in my life, but thanks for giving me another perspective to see what life is about.

      Jk a true og…when there’s a korean Drink Champs show, DT must be the first guest. Need more of the stories. We picked up those cd’s back in the day in the Korean market store, bumped those tracks in the car windows down. For all that music is when you’re a young’un, it meant a lot for many peeps. Thanks for putting it down 🙌

    Tiger is a real one! He lives this thang! Hip hop is engrained into him he’s not a fake but accepted by the originators of the culture. This man is everything SOME rappers in Korea try to imitate and he did it authentically. An honor to hear his story this man needs a lifetime movie AND a book.

      He and Tasha shared it in one of the Korean talk shows (I think it was video or radio star) a couple of years ago. There was even an article about it but the hosts seem to gloss over it because it was neither funny nor inspiring.🤷🏽‍♀️

  • @user-rt3kf7ru9g
    @user-rt3kf7ru9g 3 ปีที่แล้ว +250

    His comedic timing is impeccable lmao. When he said he thought he landed in hell but it was just Miami, how his ramblings actually get on Tasha's nerves and how the main reason he went back to SK was out of spite so that he can show off his student ID (in which he posed so happily) cracked me the hell up!

    • @MilkshakeCowboy
      @MilkshakeCowboy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Also, him talking about his son was so on point. My daughter is almost 13 and talks to people all over the world and talks through memes. True comedians know how to pull out the truth in everything but make it funny and relatable.

    I've known Tiger JK (and Tasha too) for over a decade now but had no idea about some of the stuff he had to go through, really appreciate that he shared his story. It speaks a lot about Eric Nam not just as an interviewer but as person as well that he was able to create an atmosphere where JK felt safe to talk about such deep topics.

    Tiger JK needs to write a memoir. I could listen to him for HOURS. I can totally relate to the different asian groups that did not get along with each other (FOBs, 1st gen, mainland, etc.) Gang culture was how it was back in the day. Thank you so much for having him on the show!! I really enjoyed this episode…he knows the Pharcyde?! Duuude.
    Their music is OG. I haven’t listened to their songs in years! (I’m feeling old 😂) any chance you’ll interview Tasha or Bizzy next?? 😉) keep up the great work!

    This was really really nice seeing such an icon through such an intimate lense, firstly props to Dive Studious man, they made sure to give Tiger the space and comfort of just being himself, clearly, I could tell that he needed such a change of pace,(and eric you're just a fckn great host, shout outs to you brother) that's why I love ya'll so much. Moreover I really really appreciate Tiger opening up about such personal matters, and i grew nothing but immense respect for you getting all of that off your chest. And regarding your latest single's MV where you subtly referenced Malcolm X looking through the window, I literally just noticed it a couple of days ago and I legit got goosebumps, To be honest, being able to speak on such a topic while paying homage and reference to such a strong figure in Black American history, and people who have faced similar issues, all while trying to portray your frustration and angst through Hip-hop is an honour brother, for reals. To speak up on to what's happening to the world nowadays against Asian Americans and many Asians who live outside of their home countries, is a very eye-opening concept man, and I'm really sorry to hear about what happened to your family, no one deserves such heinous acts being done to them, nd Tiger if you read this, thanks a lot and mad respect for what you did there with the MV and to what you're doing for the future, truly respect and look forward to any future projects you will release and i sure hope you do manifest em and act upon em, mad inspiring talk, SO LOVE PEACE BROTHERR

The way they hold this conversation with each other really makes you feel like you are the fourth person in this room with them, just getting lessons and reminiscing about his past and how honest he talks about his struggles is like fresh air. Because some artist don't want to show that side of them. Definitely an amazing role model and person. i came here because i've been curious about tiger jk since 3racha of stray kids mentioned him in their song "heyday" now that tiger jk and stray kids collaborated on "topline" for stray kids' recent release "5-STAR" i wanted to know more about this guy. i heard from a friend that tiger jk did an interview on the daebak show awhile back and i knew i had to check it out. i didn't think that i would be so invested in this interview, but i was! tiger jk seems like such an interesting person. it was so cool to hear his story and his thoughts. i really appreciate his sincerity and honesty. he seems like a pretty cool guy :)

    Tiger JK has to be one of the very few artists in korea who I respect. He's very honest and laid back. So true what he said, some people live their life based on lies😥
    You only have one life to live. Honesty is the best policy! Be yourself, Love yourself and LIVE as YOURSELF!!!

    That was incredible, wow. He said he was always uncomfortable in his on skin, and I can relate, so shout out to him for opening up. I remember I watched a show about him and Tasha and got interested, so I couldn't miss this one. I love this studio, damn.

    I remember back in 2011 discovering his music and falling in love with it, especially his lyrics. Mirae, Bizzy and Tiger JK are some of the most talented musicians I've listened to. I love the way they love music and how they've navigated this industry so graciously. Despite everything, they're still putting quality music out, they're still humble as well. I so love his and Mirae's relationship too. They're truly beautiful people and deserve all the recognition and respect.💕

    this was so amazing i feel like tearing up like seriously i feel so light and "better" after watching this and to think i just randomly played this just cause and because it seems so interesting like what could they possibly talk about right. it's something kind of cathartic to me, listening to tiger jk's story and the struggles and the bad stuff and seeing the way how he talks about it now. i'm kind of going through some weird stuff too right now and i really feel so comforted after this. what an intelligent, really loaded and really inspiring episode. thank you.

    Hey DIVE crew, if you're reading this, please take it as my fan letter to request Tiger JK be added to DIVE Studios productions. Give him a MINDSET series, a podcast show (with Tasha and Bizzy too??), meanwhile making a docu-series in the background.. such insanely inspiring storytelling that deserves to be shared

    “Tolerating my rambling” SIR ???? I enjoyed this soooo much, thanks for being so real and there should definitely be a documentary about your life with at least 3 seasons!!! I have been a casual fan and seen you on some stuff, but really getting so deep in your background story while working next to it, was the best thing I can do!!! Thank you Tiger JK, thank you, Eric and Thank you dive studios, for always providing!

    So many interesting stories from Tiger JK
    It was deep in a fun and interesting way
    The more you listen the more you want to hear what’s in the closet
    Learned a lot honestly
    And I love BIBI for choosing to stay with them even through the hard times
    Thanks Tasha for being supportive, a strong woman, a mother and a wife!!!
    Thank God Tiger JK was able to pull through the toughest times and learned to appreciate stuff more rather than blaming himself for things going wrong.
    Soar higher and higher from now onwards Legend!!!

    As a fan who hit the Korean 40, this is awesome content. Big fan of Tiger JK and the entire Feel Ghood label, and been following Eric's career with great interest. I've got to give a shout out to Eric for being an excellent host, I didn't expect to sit through a 1hr 40 minute video of Q&A but you let the man talk and tell his story. You made the show about him, and kept the dialogue going while still refocusing the story back where it left off during small interludes. The change was palpable from beginning to end as he divulged more of his story (small detail but I loved hearing the woman in the back laughing at all the funny things that happened, I was right there with you.) Tiger is just a fascinating individual, and really captures the feel of California during the 90's. Legit have him back, it sounds like there is a ton of content left to be explored especially in relation to Yoon Mi-Rae and Bibi. Speaking of which for sure get Bibi on, all love to Tiger but he can chill out in the green room (I know he tends to go full dad/promoter mode lmao.) I'd love to hear from Tasha as well. Being a local Ft. Hood guy, would love to hear Tasha come on as well with Tiger to also see some of their interaction.
