Hi Jack Rigby The hp does not vary between the standard and professional difficulty, the difference is that in the professional difficulty the enemies are faster and more resistant. You can check it in this video I uploaded: th-cam.com/video/2wAEk6XkyEQ/w-d-xo.html
@@YOYODODO im sorry but enemy being more resistant is actually inverse of taking extra damage. the question is - what are those modifiers value that change the damage
@@YOYODODO Unless you have information I'm not aware of, that's incorrect. There was a video posted where it shows there is no random variance of health pools. However, the damage you do is calculated by a handful of factors: the most noteworthy being type of weapon, gamestage and critical hits. They are in fact faster in terms of their more aggressive AI, however in terms of back end coding it's more common to use inheritance in object-orientated programming. This is why there's no variance in health pools as it's simply more efficient and resourceful.
Yea he threw me into a rage. I fought him until my herbs, armor, knife, nitrogen and ammo ran out and still had to run. Soul is still burnt from that one I'm going back to kill him😅
It’s crazy thinking about when I shot him more than two times in a rocket launcher but it takes the main bosses one shot. Why did y they make him soo strong
@@TomTheCat. maybe because of the nitrogen gimmick Maybe it was hard or impossible to make him invulnerable except if you use nitrogen so they bumped his HP high enough to incentivise using the gimmick
@@silent_stalker3687no, what they mean is that each type of enemy has a health range on which their health can fall, which means some enemies will die from one bullet two the head and others can take multiple shotgun shots.
@@silent_stalker3687 This is very different. Some games can have one enemy type with 1000hp and another with 2000hp, but you can measure exactly how to kill those enemies guaranteed every single time, like 4 pistol shots at 250dmg each to kill a 1000hp enemy, for example. This game has the SAME enemy with variable health, and it doesn't vary a little, it varies a LOT. A standard enemy villager can have their heads explode by a single pistol shot crit, or they can take 2 shots, or they can survive an entire point blank shotgun shell to the face. You can never absolutely guarantee a kill every single time, unless you're using specifically insanely powerful weapons. It keeps you on your toes, and gives you surprise dopamine when your enemies die faster than you expected.
@@4LegCrotchRE7? Nah, the Molded dies on well placed 3 headshots on Normal consistently. I'm not exactly sure about Madhouse with normal bullets but it's 2 headshots with enhanced ammo. Bladed is considered a different type than normal Molded and it takes 3 or 4 enhanced bullets on Madhouse. RE2? YES! I think the FPS RE games don't have DA which means Village is also the same case like RE7.
Del lago almost fully healed itself between cycles. No wonder it's such a pain in the ass to kill quickly. You can't miss a single shot and need to be hyper aggressive with firing off as many as possible.
I suspect it only heals a certain percentage of its HP, which reduces over time. No way the devs would make it a softback for someone with bad accuracy.
No doubt! When you first start up you need to get as many hits in an not miss one hit. Otherwise you gone playing catch up with limit time to hit him in between.
This has been absolutely fascinating, especially regarding Verdugo, Regeneradors/Iron Maidens, and Del Lago. Verdugo is the only enemy in the game that can legit take multiple rockets to kill (three for me), though Iron Maidens can sort of take two with their gimick of transforming rather than dying after taking lethal. But Del Lago is where I was really curious/fascinated, because I've struggled to pin down how many hits to kill. Getting the no missed harpoon challenge, I killed it in 12 hits on Assisted, but I've had other playthroughs on both Assisted and Standard where it took 22/23. Meanwhile, Hardcore/Professional, it seemed to take 28-30 hits. So, yeah, I was really curious about Del Lago. Thanks for this!
There is a hidden "director" in the game that increases or decreases difficulty from a range of 1 to 11. Killing enemies, not taking hits for a while and having a lot of resources increases the difficulty modifier. Taking hits, dying, missing shots lowers the difficulty modifier (hardcore and professional are locked to 10 or 11). Depending on what your modifier is, you can kill Del Lago in as little as 7 hits (if you manage to hit a bug with the difficulty curve that sets the difficulty to 0)
To add to the previous comment: if they keep the same philosophy as in the original professional will have the difficulty permanently maxed out regardless of performance
Here’s a tidbit to save ammo during the Brute encounter: If you have a frag, throw it at him when he’s on the bridge. It will make him stumble and he will fall to his death.
I use the booby trap that is nearby, then when a knife shot is on the wall and finally I go up the stairs that are nearby and when he goes up 1 or 2 shots in the head🖤🤙
Agreed. I was pretty good at the original RE 4 but I'm doing so poorly with this remake because parrying just isn't in my muscle memory and everything seems to be more resistant to stagger lol
Seeing how little damage you do to the regenerator without hitting the plaga is actually kinda scary. Also the verdugo health bar is insane! I love his fight much better in the remake. He actually feels like a monster who used to be human with the way he taunts you, and he doesn't feel cheap excuse for a rocket launcher purchase like in the original.
He's still worth buying a rocket launcher for. It's not even "skill issue" or that he's unfun like Salazar, you just gain so much more from skipping him than wasting time and resources fighting him legitimately.
I knew it ! When I shoot to normal enemies like villagers, zealots, and island soldiers or when their plaga kicks in, I be like “WHAT?! AM I SHOOTING BLANKS?! 😡” Especially, when I use the shotgun.
They don’t call him Salvador in the remake sadly. I think the only place he’s referred to that is the bottle cap in the original, maybe the charm too. He’ll always be the good doctor to me though
Verdugo is the most durable, just like in the OG. It is actually the most dangerous monster in the game, since it is almost invincible when not frozen Edit: Notice I said "almost". I get that you are all hardcore gamers and fucked him up with your bare fists, dont need to flex 🫢
You can kill him in three minutes with the fighting knife maxed out not that hard the Garradors are more dangerous tho specially in that room with two of em

And Del Lago regens... when the regenerators don't... that fish is an asshole
Regenerators had limited health in the original too, and it was way less health than they do now, it was quite easy to kill them via massive damage instead of destroying the plagas.
In the original you can easily kill regenerator just by rolling an incendiary grenade to his legs and then spraying him with shotgun shots all over his body. To alleviate this, remake made him very tanky (receives reduced damage from all sources except damage to parasites.)
@@paulklp8262 even without it I think would be easier, because of the space you have and the weak points, you can only damage the Verdugo when he's freeze and with all the doge sht he does it's just annoying, specially the taunt, hahahaha mf
hard maybe from me. Especially the bosses part. You might be right but it doesn't seem to vary enough for it to make a difference. Biggest example being the ramon fight. Is a well known speedrunning shot that ramon dies to exactly 1 golden egg then an exact amount of sniper + magnum shots (forgot the exact number now). So the variance must be small enough where it doesn't affect the amount of shots it takes and is therefore pretty insignificant even if true.

I fr legit Verdugo can't be beaten 😅 Back in the OG days I used to skip him by time wasting, also used to have an older friend (I was a 4th grader) keep saying that Verdugo is not supposed to be killed: it's supposed to be skipped. This thought is still ingrained in me, hence the same playthrough I have with my run of RE4 Remake version 😂 I skipped Verdugo literally thinking "this boss eat bullets like cereal". After I watched this video, I think I am not alone to think that "is this boss surely unbeatable?" 🤣
I always saved the free rocket launcher for the Verdugo fight since he dies instantly when you freeze and shoot him. I don’t think I’ve ever fought him fair and square in the original like lol
I used to beat the shit out of Verdugo in the OG and I still can, don't get me wrong, but the new one definitely tests your endurance. I only beat the game one time since launch since I don't have much time but I definitely went out of my way to kill him in the remake and to my surprise I wasted every possible resource I had to hurt him. Armor, herbs, knife, bullets, nitrogen tanks and all. I'm definitely going back to kill him this time. He won't get away 😂 but for now he has 😅
I really wish this game had a chapter select. I have saves at the start of every chapter, but that brings me back to whatever my weapon upgrades were at when I saved. It's only good for completing challenges I missed in them. When I see a video like this and am itching to jump back into the game I wish I could just pop into any point in the game to kick some skulls in, earn some cash and treasures to keep upgrading weapons, and not have to worry about starting and finishing another full playthrough to maintain my progress.
Many years ago I did a video like this for the original Re4 giving an HP measure in weapons power level, that was because it could be helpful and also I found out actually there was virtually no inmortal enemy, as enough power kill everyone. Sure, some like helmets or regenerators without shooting its plagas or Sadler shoting his human body leftover instead of his eyes were so durable that in a regular playthrough is useless doing that because too much ammo waste, but is posible doing that. Makes me so happy watching a video of remake doing exactly this.
I wish Verdugo's treasure was worth more considering killing him requires either a rocket launcher or almost all of your resources. It took until my fourth playthrough that I bothered to blast him for the achievement.
Interesting that all the Armadura get a flat 1500 hp when you break the helmet off. Even the strong threat one went from like 4-5k to 1500 when you blew it off.
It still has flat health even back in the original, if you're a terrible shot like me, you'll kill a regenerator even though there's still one more parasite
Two things I would like to see the effect on health values: Two golden eggs on Salazar. And Rocket on Verdugo after freezing him first. I did two gold eggs on salazar on hardcore expecting a kill, but be still had a chunk of health left. Also, freezing Verdugo should only require one rocket.
Verdugo allways needs at least 2 rockets, even frozen, because you lcannot kill him before opening the first gate and triggering the elevator cutscene.
@@tehSunBro I have only ever used one rocket on Verdugo on any difficulty. After turning the power on, I start running toward where he is coming from (which is toward the exit) just to bait him to follow me back around. I hit the nitrogen gas as I pass the button, then slowdown shortly after passing it. After Verdugo freezes, I shoot him with a direct hit from a rocket killing him. I hope that helps.
instead of giving our boss a fitting and fair health bar, lets make it regenerate two thirds of its health if the player doesn't one cycle it!!! incredible game design capcom.
As I understood, things are more complicated. They have some vulnerable places where they get more damage. As for regenerador, if I understood correctly, he regenerates everything unless you destroy 3 his vulnerable places. Hp then are somewhat formal -- this is not just the amount of bullets you need to shoot.
DAMNNNNNN regenerator is so fucking strong 🥶🥶🥶 specially that strong threat 💀💀, well but you know.....................verdugo is verdugo 😮💨 and I also cant wait to see the U-3 and base saddler HP in seperate ways DLC
Nah. Once you figure out how to kill them 2 ez. Can just sit there and make repeated head shots with a handgun which stuns them and makes the next shot easier (the spikey ones)
From what i understand, in professional they are more "resistant" meaning that it's the same lifebar but take less damage. Isn't this true aswell between enemies? some enemies having more resistance than others. There has to be a multiplier or something that we can translate how much HP they really have. Because pretty much you can say that they have higher HP in profesional.
If I recall, RE Village difficulty actually lowered your final damage, and to a ridiculous degree at the higher difficulties. As in, the easy difficulty is where you deal 100% damage, while you only deal something like 20% damage in Village of Shadows
Doing the pistols&knifes only challenge in a 1st playthrough, I tried to kill el Colmillo threat with weapons 1st attempt. What a terrible mistake XD. I spent 2-3 minutes knifing the doggo. Surprising this method is the easiest (doggo spends most time moving around you without attacking you)

Like RE5, right? Wonder if they'll keep that aspect in the remake. It was fun, but I missed the Merchant...
I didn't know you could parry iron maiden's spike explosions, I've been just ducking under it
Many years ago I did a video like this for the original Re4 giving an HP measure in weapons power level, that was because it could be helpful and also I found out actually there was virtually no inmortal enemy, as enough power kill everyone.
I had this video saved in between my playlist of relaxing music to sleep. I literally fell off my bed while screaming "WTF is going on???"😂
seeing their health bars would be a comfort
Inpressive gameplay and interesting video. Really enjoyed this
I wish Verdugo's treasure was worth more considering killing him requires either a rocket launcher or almost all of your resources. It took until my fourth playthrough that I bothered to blast him for the achievement.
True. This remake is way more stingy not just with ammo but in general lol the Verdugo gave you like 50k patatas in the original iirc.
Interesting that all the Armadura get a flat 1500 hp when you break the helmet off. Even the strong threat one went from like 4-5k to 1500 when you blew it off.
This guy is hella gud! 👏👍🎮🧌🧟♂️🧟♀️
Novistador: You can't see me.
Heath bar: Are you sure about that?
When the special regenerator has more HP than the final boss lol.
I knew that dude was tanky but damn, whole 50K.
Wait regenerators have a flat health? That was surprising to find out.. I thought the parasites would be the only way to kill them
It still has flat health even back in the original, if you're a terrible shot like me, you'll kill a regenerator even though there's still one more parasite
Yeah, even on OG it's flat health. Back then you could just pop their knees off and knife them to death without shooting any plagas inside.
Yeah they had flat HP in the OG. I think it was 230hp.
Yeah they don't regenerate HP lol
I didn't even know a golden egg murder Salazar like that
Two things I would like to see the effect on health values:
Two golden eggs on Salazar.
And
Rocket on Verdugo after freezing him first.

Seeing enemy hp would be a sick special item effect ngl.
People who use decimals instead of commas are a special kind of evil
That's how other languages work...
That’s literally how other languages work.
@@Indigo_1001 it's literally only a few countries lol
@@allwoundup3574 other way around. Very few use commas
instead of giving our boss a fitting and fair health bar, lets make it regenerate two thirds of its health if the player doesn't one cycle it!!! incredible game design capcom.
your dodging skills are exceptional
As I understood, things are more complicated. They have some vulnerable places where they get more damage. As for regenerador, if I understood correctly, he regenerates everything unless you destroy 3 his vulnerable places. Hp then are somewhat formal -- this is not just the amount of bullets you need to shoot.
Esse mano aí não tá puro nunca, o rei do parrying, melhor do mundo.
Ele só bloqueou os ataques
Was there consistency on your part? Was this done with min or max upgraded weapons? How do we translate 1.90 damage calculation to 600 hp???
That regenerator strong threat was the only boss I skipped (the verdugo too actually), the reward is not worth it compared to the ammo spent.
The strong regenerator only takes 6-7 shots with the upgraded bolt action.
Bro's got every encounter down to a science!
Rocket Launcher: "Do I interrupt something?" 😏
Verdugo is a true monster! 55k 🤣
4:00 just call them gloria las plagas
The fact the soldiers on the island have more health than Del Lago is crazy to think about
Let's just be happy they don't recover 80% of their hp
Well they don't recover
DAMNNNNNN regenerator is so fucking strong 🥶🥶🥶 specially that strong threat 💀💀, well but you know.....................verdugo is verdugo 😮💨 and I also cant wait to see the U-3 and base saddler HP in seperate ways DLC
Something that we all can agree
Regenerators are always the final boss
As in, the easy difficulty is where you deal 100% damage, while you only deal something like 20% damage in Village of Shadows
infinite Rocket Launcher : Imma end these bosses's careers
Damn, explains why even with the infinite handcannon i was having difficulty killing the verdugo
Just got the infinite launcher and you need three direct shots without ice.
@@crowsenpai5625 two rockets actually, as was shown in this video.
Wow this guy already pro in killing every monsters 😂
Really wish there was a extra setting after you beat the game to display the enemy health like this.
Doing the pistols&knifes only challenge in a 1st playthrough, I tried to kill el Colmillo threat with weapons 1st attempt. What a terrible mistake XD.
I spent 2-3 minutes knifing the doggo. Surprising this method is the easiest (doggo spends most time moving around you without attacking you)
verdugo outside of that ice chamber might be the most dangerous enemy in the RE universe.
Good gameplay bro:)
This mod is so perfect for the people how love Rpg Games❤
こんな感じでHP表示されるとあとどれ位体力残ってるか分かるからこういうモードみたいなの追加されてほしいな
Console needs mods like this
I don’t get it. The damage says 8.000-12.000 and my handgun does 1.0 so shouldn’t it take about 8-12 shots to kill a chainsaw dude?
多了血條顯示,感覺好像在玩RPG遊戲,好酷!!
What music is this in order
There's one thing i know . The Magnum never disappoints
