I went to work for the Texas dept of Criminal justice 28 yrs ago. I was 19 yrs old. I'm not proud of some of the things I did as a younger man, knowing I gotta answer for them one day.Paying the price for this life that I chose....I have seen the evil that men do and it changes you! Calloused and hard hearted from this profession has affected everyone I love. I get to retire in 2 yrs and pray that I become the person I was before I went into the prison environment. It's not just the convicts in prison who's lives change. If you stand in the sewer long enough, you'll smell like crap. Pray for us all....

I'm 52 did most my life locked up started with the fa got farm cal Farley's been to 3 different state's prisons dozens of jails on parole now I dont know how to live out here I've seen stuff not even the movies could come up with ,loneliness is a mf ,yet I cant stand people everyone i have crossed paths with has helped confirm my views on humanity ,its sad I rather stomp the head of man than step on a roach....

Then some die young others live with the regret, until you realize what you actually did, and you struggle to find a way to retrieve your soul and give it back to the Almighty Lord Jesus Christ. Bless you Aaron for making such amazing music. I've been a huge fan from your 1st album many years ago. I've always like your heavier side like Mudshovel, and my wife likes the softer stuff. Yet we both enjoy the country side as well, and alot when we are cruising together and listening to music. It's usual AFL.

We all go thru things in life..Prison is a state of mind...not a place..I did 10 years in Florida state penitentiary..But life throws curveballs at you that cant be foreseen...It takes pressure to make a diamond..JUST KEEP THAT THOUGHT IN YOUR HEAD!

Swear since I was in military school and heard Staind for the first time 1999 2000 Aaron's music has been the soundtrack of my life it seems. Traveled everywhere to see staind and his acoustic shows years later the best I have ever seen live thanks Aaron your a bad ass and this last album is amazing shout out from Ohio.
