What a fantastic tutorial! I've been looking for a decent Marauda screech tutorial for a while, and you smashed it! Awesome to get an insight into how you distort, but then take away the frequencies you don't want and layer them properly. Gives me ideas 💡
I mean I know I’m not supposed to copy anyone. I have my own methods. However I’m not comfortable w operator and wanted to see how I could recreate this with my own ears. But even plugging in all the parameters in operator the same exact way it sounds like hot garbage.
@@richardgregory4309 I had a similar problem. You may have everything correct, but if you don't play a note that's low enough, it will just sound like a distorted sine wave. I recommend playing it at anywhere from C0-C1
Letsynthesize @n1ght_wolf thank you both and yes once I did some extra processing (xtra voices, distortion, ott) AS WELL AS played it on A0 it sounded much better! 🤘🏽 much love to you both
Awesome tutorials! I did have trouble with this one I’m probably missing something but I watched the video recreated every parameter in operator and it didn’t come out gritty and rusty just smooth. Any ideas of what I need to do?
@@Letsynthesize From the beginning of the midi sequence of the scream to the end it seems like the pitch drops. Its doesn't sound like a consistent retriggered note. Even though i can see the note is the same, the pitch seems to fall over the duration of those 7 notes. Or am i crazy. Maybe its the phase distortion from detuning. Whatevs. Sick tut yo.
if ur using ableton go into ur midi, on the bottom left there should be a automation circle, click it and select midi control and pitch bend for the drop downs. i only bend the sound about -1 semitone
The foam behind the monitors is simply to dumben mid frequencies when I talk in the microphone. I have lots of these foams around me and my room is still reverby :)
It is there, but it won't jump up for some reason. Right now it should work, but here is the link for a nice dubstep bundle if you are interested in it: letsynthesize.teachable.com/p/dubstep-riddim
That is such an accurate sound to the bass from DONG
Christian Mora That’s the reference I used to make this bass. I already played it in the video ;)
Need also kind of facial gesture tutorial : )
Tutorial is coming! :D

Yes, actually this is a very widely used technique to achieve a less noisey and more "tonal" distorted sound.
Could you do a Svdden Death Tutorial? Im curious also how he does his really heavy hitting drums!
Will try to squeze it in
This!!!
Ryan Guys! I prepared an awesome tutorial for you! Launching soon! ;)
Letsynthesize well that’s good news!

@@Letsynthesize and what about tearout pan snares?
@@DEATHBLADEBASS Next week! ;)
Phaseplant is a good tool for this kind of screams.
Hendrik yeh! That synth is a beast I love it!
Set my operator w the same parameters and it sounds nothing like the patch 👍🏽

It's interesting. That 808 is very simple though. Did you add the distortion in the filters?

Did you apply distortion in the filter?
What's the distortion settings in the filter for Operator? Those were never shown
Hard shaper on max, and OSR filter simulation drive on max. :)
sound cleaner than the original
That's the point, marauda and code make distorted and messy sounding tracks. If they wanted to make it clean, they would have.
@@Crecross still, I prefer it, take my complement God Dam it 😁
In the Serum, when you tried to make the patch did you turn the width of the unison to zero? If not, than that might fix the problem of yours.
Yes, width is turned down to 0 on OSC A
is there a more in depth tutorial for this exact sound? like from the beginning?
I have full start to finish masterclass in tearout dubstep.

The pitch of the scream seems to slowly drop over the course of the phrase. How is that achieved?
I'd lie if I said I understood you :)

I'm curious why you have foam pyramides behind your monitor and why the heck you place your monitor speakers on the table.
Because I was lazy to buy monitor stands so far. But gonna do it soon!

Do you think u could try to make this in serum? I don’t use ableton
Yes because the FM chain is simple: contains only two oscillators, plus we need a sub. All of these can be found inside Serum.
You know that bass was thick when you could hear it without headphones
Yeah! :)
Basically, it's like distorting a cooker's bass with sub.
With some spice
@@Letsynthesize ofcourse XD
Im following everything exactly, but even without effects, it just sounds like a mildly FMed sine wave. What could I have done wrong?
Well, withough seeing your preset I'd say you haven't payed enough attention :)
@@Letsynthesize Maybe it's because I'm playing a higher note than what you have in the MIDI
N1GHT_W0LF that is very easy to fix :)
@@Letsynthesize yeah, it doesn't sound exactly the same, but it's still an amazing patch. Thank you!

i failed at operator already, sounds nothing the same
