    What a fantastic tutorial! I've been looking for a decent Marauda screech tutorial for a while, and you smashed it! Awesome to get an insight into how you distort, but then take away the frequencies you don't want and layer them properly. Gives me ideas 💡

    • @Letsynthesize
      @Letsynthesize  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, actually this is a very widely used technique to achieve a less noisey and more "tonal" distorted sound.

    • @richardgregory4309

      I mean I know I’m not supposed to copy anyone. I have my own methods. However I’m not comfortable w operator and wanted to see how I could recreate this with my own ears. But even plugging in all the parameters in operator the same exact way it sounds like hot garbage.

    • @Letsynthesize
      @Letsynthesize  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's interesting. That 808 is very simple though. Did you add the distortion in the filters?

    • @w0lfy89
      @w0lfy89 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@richardgregory4309 I had a similar problem. You may have everything correct, but if you don't play a note that's low enough, it will just sound like a distorted sine wave. I recommend playing it at anywhere from C0-C1

    The pitch of the scream seems to slowly drop over the course of the phrase. How is that achieved?

      @@Letsynthesize From the beginning of the midi sequence of the scream to the end it seems like the pitch drops. Its doesn't sound like a consistent retriggered note. Even though i can see the note is the same, the pitch seems to fall over the duration of those 7 notes. Or am i crazy. Maybe its the phase distortion from detuning. Whatevs. Sick tut yo.
