    Good demonstration on the phaser stuff, but what really makes this particular bass stand out is the vibrato you added, this is probably one of the best FM screeches I've seen...heard... Really, thanks for sharing this bass!

    Hey man, really appreciate your effort! So much knowledge hidden in this channel - it`s been a long time since I`ve seen content of this quality.
    Have you ever considered making a video of actually using all these sounds? There are tons of "how to make this sound" videos all over the place but I think the real deal is actually know how to use them. There are many options when it comes to placing the sound in the right place and it`s cool to see approach of someone who does it well.
    Wish you all the best from Slovakia!

    Why is it that I follow this tutorial to a T and it does not sound the same at any point throughout the tutorial? Is it post processing? Im confused, thank you!

      If you want me to talk about it and help that decision in a video I can totally do that. ;) What DAW are you currently using if any?

    • @lucasdellabella1270
      @lucasdellabella1270 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      FYI the software he is making these basses in does not come with FLstudio. It's third party and costs $$. Though you can download free alternatives that look different but still do the same / similar things.

    Serum needs to make it so you can save the macros/knob positions then load that up

    Does anyone know if this style of bass has a name? OR are there any other tutorials on this? This video is amazing, but I'd like to learn more about this style.

    • @StanleyNoble
      @StanleyNoble 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a sustain bass but most of them are quite screechy so I dont know if you will be able to find anything similar with that name

  • @arkanin5634

    hey i got an idea for you next video, try making like a complete basics of serum in under 5 minutes.

    • @HAKOBO
      @HAKOBO  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I like the idea but it sounds hard because I could talk about serum forever haha.

    • @Modern.Elegance
      @Modern.Elegance 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      HAKOBO you should do it but not limit to 5mins. I’ve been waiting for someone to just breakdown serum who actually makes relevant sound design lol. To show where the focus should be to really lock it in

    • @illuminous5603
      @illuminous5603 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Modern.Elegance I know It's been a year since this comment, and you might have already found it by now... but Virtual Riot has like an hour long video where he breaks down serum :)

  • @lukehyre1383
    @lukehyre1383 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I tried following the video but when you get to where you very first take a listen to the sound yours has a sustain to it while u hold it down as where mine it just a beep and that's it.. I rewatched several times following precisely and get the same result.. therefore I was unable to achieve the end result.

      LFO mode perhaps? Trig, Env, Off next to LFO rate knob

    • @HAKOBO
      @HAKOBO  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Check which way your knob is turned with your envelopes.

    • @jack_b_nimble
      @jack_b_nimble 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      make sure when your shaping the envelope as he does you are using Envelope 2 and not Envelope 1. Envelope 1 is the master envelope.

    • @jonahmyers739
      @jonahmyers739 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      i figured it out its the note on the keyboard he's playing. If you press middle c you'll get a beep. If you go down 2 octaves you get the bass

    *makes an entire tutorial on how to make a sound* doesn't show the post processing

    • @HAKOBO
      @HAKOBO  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The tutorial is on how to set up a patch in Serum. There is no post processing in this sound to show you. If you watch any of my other videos I always go through any post processing involved.

  • @jonahmyers739
    @jonahmyers739 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    just getting a beep, not the bass

    • @particlejim
      @particlejim 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm gonna guess you used Envelope 1 right? That's the master envelope, use Envelope 2 instead and leave Envelope 1 in it's default state 👍
