this was recorded in a Seattle radio station and my brother was going to the concert afterwards now, 3 years later I'm about to go see Arctic Monkeys. this recording reminds me of a younger me putting my ear against my brother's door so I could listen to his music.

Is it possible that instead arrogance, Alex wears his shades out of vulnerability? Whenever he sings songs which are a tad bit more heartfelt, he seems to reveal a lil bit more about himself, the vulnerable side. Maybe him wearing those shades is his way of shunning himself from the limelight.
