David Kakap is an intermediate level guitar player. All he plays is basic pentatonic and major scales. I have seen him play live and he was sloppy af. He tries to play like Ritchie Blackmore but fails miserably.

Benjamin Touthang Nah, you got it all wrong. Just because u think that someone's skill is "more cleaner, precise and technical" doesn't mean that they he is the best. And how do you know Boithang's skill is "cleaner, precise and technical" when there is no parameter to compare different guitarists. I have seen Boithang's live performance and listened to his music since his Lenny days, and I can tell you that he's good. But, all his music is about reproduction of the already available music. He's never creative. He's always high pitched. He seldom ventured out of his comfort zone. I agree that David Kakaap is overrated on Electric Guitar. But, his skills on "hollow guitar" is something really admirable. And, please stop comparing different guitarists. Mark Knopfler, Paul McCartney, John Petrucci, Jimmy Page, Jimmy Hendrix, Jeff Waters etc. are different for their different skills... And, they can't be compared to one another. When you start comparing you fail to appreciate their unique talents. There are days I enjoyed my Knopfler, and days I enjoyed my Petrucci. Leave the Eimi guitarists alone
kakaap is very creative, his music solo are very melodious. music is about melody. music without melody is like tea withou sugar. boithang is technical kakaap is melodious. boithang know how to present himself well.
Beautiful life Exactly... Boithang can be a good teacher with his knowledge. But Eddie, Gouhao, Peace Chanters etc. are legends for they inspired people to play music, and they understand the soul of any song (and play guitar accordingly)...
