I've replaced my Union Power Armour with the Vulcan, absolutely love it. OE/+5AP/Thru-Hikers on all pieces, Rejuv on 3 pieces and Reflect on 2 (though I'm also debating having just Sawbones on 1 piece and reflect on 4 Pieces), almost instant AP recovery from empty which means I can go back to VATS quickly for that DPS. Gimbal Bracers are amazing, Calibrated Shocks and Jetpack.
Not worth it for me as you lose carry weight and the raid is already easy enough without it. In my opinion, all power armour frames should have a built-in +100 carry weight by default to counteract the loss of unyielding. Doesn't make sense from a lore perspective that you can lose so much carry weight by stepping into power armour.

I'm already using the gimbal bracers. And man.... It's really amazing. The settings to recharge the fusion core sacrifices too much but is really good to know about it. One thing I have to try is if the self damage of the Tesla Cannon could recharge the core. I already saw the electrical mutation rechawa core when I was using the Electrical Absorption legendary card. Yes, it's possible, but the chances are low, very low. But as we are continually shooting the the Tesla Cannon, could trigger the absorption more easily
I just love the look of this power armor. I’ve been rocking it ever he whole raid but man getting the mods and the helmet was a grind. Just need a jet pack now but it replaced my T61 and stopped my grind for stamps to get that union PA. Thanks for covering this
@@D3monWo1fuse 2lb, with 2lb you need just 26 luck total + crit savy rank3 to get crit every second shot, I think about 1lb (29 luck needed for crits) and either 4 scanners or 4 Rejuvenators to make a set
I have full sets of Reflective, rejuvenated, Scanners, Limit Breaking. once i get all my 1-3 stars im going to start mixing and matching, definitely gonna try this one

It turns out since it is a helmet, it cant have any legendary effects, and the game checks for legendary effects first when dishing out rewards. So you have to have all 4 checks for legendarys fail before the game can give you a helmet. After looking this up, I got another helmet in 2 raids funny enough. Now I just need the calibrated shocks.
Elastic servos are awesome, I have them before the calibrated shocks. Now I have learned the calibrated shocks plan but didnt changed them . .elastic are the best .. and yes got t get rid of a lot of regular repair kits. It took me a lot of farming to get my full over eaters + ap + sentinel + reflective (reflective is awesome also)

Just finished my set yesterday! Just need a few more mods for it. I found a great team yesterday that helped me easily beat 4 full raids in a row. That was a first for me since most usually quit after one raid.
The fusion core drain is why I wanted to complete my set so bad. Doing these raids I’ve been burning through my cores so I’ll be using my new set once I get my jetpack for it.
@ yeah I bet. That’s why I use my Gatling plasma but I use ultracite so the new plasma core charger is worthless for me. It sucks we can’t charge ultracite cores.

Since I’ve been playing this game they’ve always seemed very out of touch with what content players really want. Though raids are a step in the right direction I think. We just need more variety in them for other builds and we also need another solo experience in Fallout 5 sooner rather than later.

The RNG is, as always, horrible. Bugthesda need to find a better way of doing it. Maybe give us a shop that we can buy these plans from with some kind of currency you can only get through the raid. The fact that their answer to everything is more RNG is why I always quit this game after a week or two after an update.
yeah I hear you, but to tell the true I just go carnivore with Smoked mirelurk fillets [+60 to carry for 90min] and if you really need, capacity booster on top of it, or +4 Gulper stuffed foot [easy to get from nuka vendor] and the best is to use the 3star mods Thru-Hikers [4] arms-keeper[1] .. this way you can free up perks cards for damage/reload or defense buffs [iron stomach, natural resistance] ... you put ballistic shield and ricochet on top of that ... some vampire heavy gun and few super stimps ...and a secondary good damage gun .. and you can beat guardian basically standing still and topping off hear health. for the rest, funky-dud lev3 and you can stim over anything ... I get such a huge surplus of super stimps and stimps that I usually just drop the stims and late share super stims with low level players along with some mutations serums as it's just clutter for me at this point :D sorry for the long answer, I just feel like this info can help your mood a bit, to realize that neither shocks nor jatpack should prevent you from enjoying the set ;)
@RoPo-fv5tm You're not using carnivore properly if your buffs from that aren't +75 carry weight and +5 STR for those consumables. Someone clearly isn't taking advantage of strange in numbers. 😉 Also, you get +8 STR from Deathclaw Wellingtons if you know where to go to find the ingredients.

Finally I would be able to hold my gauss rifle still when scoping in PA ... It's funny, because in ordinary armor I have stabilized on both arms and they are perfectly still every time.
Got my self a Vulcan OE/Luck/WW with scanners (not the best joice, as i know now) with Gimbal, Jetpack, Calibrated shocks in the first few days of the update (yes i farmed Guardian a lot) i like it i would also try the legs but carry weight is some what mandatory for me^^

I don't think I would ever want to give up calibrated shocks and jetpack, so I don't think I will be using this power armor. Although, I am farming the first raid boss a whole lot but that's because of the 4th star mods. A lot of Vulcan stuff is dropping but it feels like pearls before swine for me :/

This pa is so great. I just finished full set with all possible mods today 🙏 As you mentioned calibrated shocks and jetpack were the last one and i almost gave up after hundreds of raids.. I have now oe/luck/1 limit breakers and 4 Scanners and its working great. Thanks a lot for info about ultracite bracers working with guns too. I had there gimbal ones, but i replaced by ultracite after i watched your video. Just thinking if i will sacrifice jetpack for this bleeding damage.. Maybe yes as Iam used to be without jetpack because of solar armor. Let see😂
The problem with grinding the raid for me is the stimpack usage for me, i do plan to give my friend a minimum with the mods to make it a medics explosive so he can help keep me alive in the raid
Yeah, but would you say this new set is actually better than Union power armor when running the raid? Doesn't seem worth it to sacrifice the poison resistance.

Don't let youtubers intimidate you. I was having a rough time at first, but practice and the right teammates helps. The tunnels are not that difficult to find the fuel. The 3rd part is a little tough unless you have a full team, and the 4th isn't so bad once you understand you kill enemies by destroying the crystals next to them and not shooting them directly. I'll be doing the snake boss tonight.
I’ve been trying occasionally to do the second stage when teams I join are going there. I’m not familiar with it so I can’t really help and feel bad when I can’t really contribute past just killing the mole miners.

I haven't done a single raid yet even though I tested it before on PTS. The first days after the update I farmed XP to reach score rank 100 and then Path of Exile 2 happened. Next week I will probably farm Collision Course for Holiday Scorched and Gatling Plasma mod plans and around Christmas I don't have time to play at all. So raiding has to wait until next year.
All power armor performs essentially the same in that regard. Turtle actually has a video showing that lvl 15 pa is hardly worse than lvl 50 purely as far as DR goes.
Rain isn’t the whole point of that armor kind of that it gives you what they use so that you can use that on your heavy gun between the West cost you will end up having less fusion use with power user and other appropriate stuff you’ll be able to fire whole magazine or whole whole plasma course hole Fusion course I mean it seems to me like everything will be done in advance now why would you not use vats especially given like the new mods for the Gatlin plasma allow you to really ramp up the crits
Makes me wonder what the gimbals would do to a 2 shot weapon. I know it doesn't hold a candle to anti-armor or bloodied anymore, but I'm still curious.
I have a full set with oe and sentinels on it. Is the sentinels effect still broken? I haven't noticed much of a difference when getting attacked, but it would be interesting to know since they did fix some things like the ultracite laser gun afterawhile with this update
i actually dont get the helmet. I have done the raid very often by now and still didnt got the headpice. Am I doing something wrong? Or am I just unlucky?
got 200 levels in, 70 finished attempts on all stages, soloed the guardian 20 times. And I still didn't get that damn calibrated shocks! Still love the raid tho won't gonna do 70 runs if i didn't lol.
I main auto axe so im more into the reflecting mods for my sets but union is my go to for now for general game i am running hellcat trouble shooters for guardian and building up my vulcans for hunter/snake set up i have 3 thruhikers and one reflecting currently but i cant get 4star mods to drop unless im scrapping valkrie or drillfist i have had the worst luck so far but i did get pounders on my v40pa25less ap autoaxe finally through a mod trade i hope they dont nerf it its just hilarious the damage im doing now in melee 😂
G'day Angry Turtle, if the Ultracite Terror is a creature according to Fallout 76 would the Hunter's legendary effect on power armor be more effective than Overeater's
Yes it will help with last boss but you will need to make a set for it. I just think about using one gp with hunter's effect, union PA is good enough for last boss just keep in check your health and add medical mod on torso and agility perk for stimpak auto use
I dont wear PA for the whole raid. Nothing in there out damages funky duds. Even the snake, as far as poison goes. Once you get more comfortable and less nervous, thus making less mistakes, you'll find a lot of the deaths in a raid cone from that.
@@andrewbrock3675most of my deaths come from the ultracite mole miners in the cave they triple team me most of the time, but I did figure out that if they follow you to the drill room, they dig through the ground somewhere else, so you can easily clear them out of an area
@void-master9077 yep. That part is pretty easy once you learn how long it takes them to register and hit you. You can literally run right past them most of the time, and they'll slowly lumber around to register you. Bethesda pathing is... interesting lol.
Nice video turtle. I have a question. If you have a 25 less VATS gun plus you're wearing the vulcan set, that's multiplicative, right? So, 50% less VATS cost. Now, if you added scanners to all 5 pieces as a 4th star, would that also be multiplicative and give you 75% less VATS cost? Or is scanners additive not multiplicative?
@AngryTurtle I'm calculating this. 25% less VATS cost from your weapon, 25% less VATS cost from the Vulcan power armour, (that's 50% less VATS cost reduction so far) then 5 pieces of Vulcan PA with the 4th star Scanners effect which is 5% per piece for a total of 25%. So that, in theory, would add up 75% less VATS cost reduction. My question is, is that how it works in practice, or does the Scanners mod not stack with the Vulcan PA and 25% less VATS cost weapons?
I really liked the raid runners power armor the first time I saw it but then I noticed one little thing about it that made me refuse to buy it. It looks like there's training wheels on the feet and I can't stop looking at them anytime I see the power armor. Bethesda does this with a lot of their designs I will see a lot of armors or outfits or power armors that I really like but then there's one little detail that makes me absolutely hate it
Depends on your playstyle. Aegis, Rejuvenators for defence and ap/hp regen, for damage I wouldn't choose anything but limit breaking 1 rank and scanners, to get crit every second shot in PA, overall with crit build you will have more dmg than just ranger's for example. Anyway, just my thoughts
pin pointer is the best damage perk for weapons with high fire rate and polish for explosives or slow fire rate weapons. For armors there are many options depending of what you want.
Same applies to me - no helmet after many full! runs 🥺! My friend already got it several times, even the plan. I am happy for him but I also would like to have a bit of luck 😔. Let’s not loose hope, as Grahm always says: „ one day, Chally the moo-moo, ONE day…“ .
P.S. You will believe it or not but this evening I got the PLAN for the helmet after the snake run 😃❤️! I had tried pushing my luck by eating roasted venison with berries (gives + 8 luck), and it’s probably superstition, but it worked 😂! I am so happy! And, as I said, never give up 🤗!
I'm a non-VATS user and I switched to this armor because of the Gimbals bracer mod, don't think I'll be using any other PA other than this now. Wish they would release the Gimbal mod on the other PAs because I like the look of the T-65 a lot more than the Vulcan. Waiting on some modder to make a clean version of the Vulcan without the protruding crystals.
The clean skin is called the Equalizer You should be able to take the arms off the Vulkan and put them on another set and get the effect. Just use a skin like heat eater to make them look like T-65 arms

These are situational suits; the average player will carry 3-4 sets to cover for any situation. Bethesda needs to increase stash storage limits and Camp budget.

Nope reflects sucks the 4* star ricohet perk under endurance is the shit use that perk..👍🏽

Meh, as a bloodied build, I'm not worried about losing carry weight because I'm overencumbered when I hop into PA regardless of the type anyway. 🤷♂️

A big benefit to this power armor is that it drops with 4* mods about as often as the 4* power armor mod boxes drop.

Vulcan is so damn great. I have a OE/Luck/Thru-Hikers/ 3 Limit Breakers and 2 rejuv. It’s very good at Vats Heavy Build

I was struggling for the helmet, then yesterday got 3 and one plan in a raid lol.
Still looking for a helmet after 30+ raids. Also the jet pack and calibrated shocks, but those are less important

I don't think I would ever want to give up calibrated shocks and jetpack, so I don't think I will be using this power armor. Although, I am farming the first raid boss a whole lot but that's because of the 4th star mods. A lot of Vulcan stuff is dropping but it feels like pearls before swine for me :/
Vulcan can have both of those mods

This pa is so great. I just finished full set with all possible mods today 🙏 As you mentioned calibrated shocks and jetpack were the last one and i almost gave up after hundreds of raids.. I have now oe/luck/1 limit breakers and 4 Scanners and its working great. Thanks a lot for info about ultracite bracers working with guns too. I had there gimbal ones, but i replaced by ultracite after i watched your video. Just thinking if i will sacrifice jetpack for this bleeding damage.. Maybe yes as Iam used to be without jetpack because of solar armor. Let see😂

My only holdup at this point is ammo. Got a build together, 20k 2mm ec doesn't feel like enough.
Trust me, that 20k will not be even close to enough. Since the raid dropped I've gone through more than 100K.

The problem with grinding the raid for me is the stimpack usage for me, i do plan to give my friend a minimum with the mods to make it a medics explosive so he can help keep me alive in the raid
Yeah, but would you say this new set is actually better than Union power armor when running the raid? Doesn't seem worth it to sacrifice the poison resistance.
There is a 4s for elemental resistance, i used to pieces of that for one set

Don't let youtubers intimidate you. I was having a rough time at first, but practice and the right teammates helps. The tunnels are not that difficult to find the fuel. The 3rd part is a little tough unless you have a full team, and the 4th isn't so bad once you understand you kill enemies by destroying the crystals next to them and not shooting them directly. I'll be doing the snake boss tonight.
I’ve been trying occasionally to do the second stage when teams I join are going there. I’m not familiar with it so I can’t really help and feel bad when I can’t really contribute past just killing the mole miners.

I haven't done a single raid yet even though I tested it before on PTS. The first days after the update I farmed XP to reach score rank 100 and then Path of Exile 2 happened. Next week I will probably farm Collision Course for Holiday Scorched and Gatling Plasma mod plans and around Christmas I don't have time to play at all. So raiding has to wait until next year.
Wait until it's more rewarding, I did 3 raids and got only one 4 star mod.

All power armor performs essentially the same in that regard. Turtle actually has a video showing that lvl 15 pa is hardly worse than lvl 50 purely as far as DR goes.

Rain isn’t the whole point of that armor kind of that it gives you what they use so that you can use that on your heavy gun between the West cost you will end up having less fusion use with power user and other appropriate stuff you’ll be able to fire whole magazine or whole whole plasma course hole Fusion course I mean it seems to me like everything will be done in advance now why would you not use vats especially given like the new mods for the Gatlin plasma allow you to really ramp up the crits
raids are also awesome to grind fast through the screboard,

I have a full set with oe and sentinels on it. Is the sentinels effect still broken? I haven't noticed much of a difference when getting attacked, but it would be interesting to know since they did fix some things like the ultracite laser gun afterawhile with this update

got 200 levels in, 70 finished attempts on all stages, soloed the guardian 20 times. And I still didn't get that damn calibrated shocks! Still love the raid tho won't gonna do 70 runs if i didn't lol.

I main auto axe so im more into the reflecting mods for my sets but union is my go to for now for general game i am running hellcat trouble shooters for guardian and building up my vulcans for hunter/snake set up i have 3 thruhikers and one reflecting currently but i cant get 4star mods to drop unless im scrapping valkrie or drillfist i have had the worst luck so far but i did get pounders on my v40pa25less ap autoaxe finally through a mod trade i hope they dont nerf it its just hilarious the damage im doing now in melee 😂

G'day Angry Turtle, if the Ultracite Terror is a creature according to Fallout 76 would the Hunter's legendary effect on power armor be more effective than Overeater's
Yes it will help with last boss but you will need to make a set for it. I just think about using one gp with hunter's effect, union PA is good enough for last boss just keep in check your health and add medical mod on torso and agility perk for stimpak auto use

I dont wear PA for the whole raid. Nothing in there out damages funky duds. Even the snake, as far as poison goes. Once you get more comfortable and less nervous, thus making less mistakes, you'll find a lot of the deaths in a raid cone from that.
@@andrewbrock3675most of my deaths come from the ultracite mole miners in the cave they triple team me most of the time, but I did figure out that if they follow you to the drill room, they dig through the ground somewhere else, so you can easily clear them out of an area
@void-master9077 yep. That part is pretty easy once you learn how long it takes them to register and hit you. You can literally run right past them most of the time, and they'll slowly lumber around to register you. Bethesda pathing is... interesting lol.

Nice video turtle. I have a question. If you have a 25 less VATS gun plus you're wearing the vulcan set, that's multiplicative, right? So, 50% less VATS cost. Now, if you added scanners to all 5 pieces as a 4th star, would that also be multiplicative and give you 75% less VATS cost? Or is scanners additive not multiplicative?

@AngryTurtle I'm calculating this. 25% less VATS cost from your weapon, 25% less VATS cost from the Vulcan power armour, (that's 50% less VATS cost reduction so far) then 5 pieces of Vulcan PA with the 4th star Scanners effect which is 5% per piece for a total of 25%. So that, in theory, would add up 75% less VATS cost reduction. My question is, is that how it works in practice, or does the Scanners mod not stack with the Vulcan PA and 25% less VATS cost weapons?

In case you don’t know, you can go into your quests and reject the raid, which will reset you to the first stage so you can farm that
raids are amazing im going trough the season just by doing the raids....for people who struggle get funky duds and a vampire plasma gatling

I really liked the raid runners power armor the first time I saw it but then I noticed one little thing about it that made me refuse to buy it. It looks like there's training wheels on the feet and I can't stop looking at them anytime I see the power armor. Bethesda does this with a lot of their designs I will see a lot of armors or outfits or power armors that I really like but then there's one little detail that makes me absolutely hate it

Depends on your playstyle. Aegis, Rejuvenators for defence and ap/hp regen, for damage I wouldn't choose anything but limit breaking 1 rank and scanners, to get crit every second shot in PA, overall with crit build you will have more dmg than just ranger's for example. Anyway, just my thoughts
pin pointer is the best damage perk for weapons with high fire rate and polish for explosives or slow fire rate weapons. For armors there are many options depending of what you want.
I use limit breaking it gets u a crit every other shot in power armor with just 15 luck.

P.S. You will believe it or not but this evening I got the PLAN for the helmet after the snake run 😃❤️! I had tried pushing my luck by eating roasted venison with berries (gives + 8 luck), and it’s probably superstition, but it worked 😂! I am so happy! And, as I said, never give up 🤗!

I'm a non-VATS user and I switched to this armor because of the Gimbals bracer mod, don't think I'll be using any other PA other than this now. Wish they would release the Gimbal mod on the other PAs because I like the look of the T-65 a lot more than the Vulcan.
Waiting on some modder to make a clean version of the Vulcan without the protruding crystals.
The clean skin is called the Equalizer
You should be able to take the arms off the Vulkan and put them on another set and get the effect. Just use a skin like heat eater to make them look like T-65 arms
Just wait for a skin that will probably change it.

These are situational suits; the average player will carry 3-4 sets to cover for any situation. Bethesda needs to increase stash storage limits and Camp budget.
