Favorite quote for this episode as a first time mom myself - “it’s the first time for YOU” thank you for the validation and reassuring Ali’s experiences ❤
When Allison was talking about her PPD and said " I know I'm not first person this has happened to" and Jeremy said "It's the first time its happened to you" :( I could cry that's so niceee
The tactics to avoid puking is so real , I didn't know other people did that!! Like I always try getting something cold on my body, putting my hands under cold running water .closing my eyes ,trying to get rid of clothes that are to tight 😅
I never really knew about metaphoric till now and wow I HAVE THAT! I got a stomach bug the day I was graduating college. When I tell you I FOUGHT!! I mean it I was sick all day and didn’t throw up till 11pm when I pulled into my driveway so horrible!
For my job I’m on a boat the majority of the week for the entire summer doing Great Lakes Coastal Wetland Vegetation research! You’re never more than 85 miles from one of the Great Lakes anywhere in Michigan, and never more than 6 miles away from a body of water (inland lake, river, etc.) in Michigan
I got pregnant both times first time, i was on the pill, the doctors said stop it 5 weeks before you try and i fell straight away my husband said to me trust you to full pregnant straight after the 5 week's both time's. Great eggs. I did my DNA test and im more of my mum than my dad, and had no idea i have Swedish, norway and Denmark in my family😵💫❤❤❤❤❤
I had a huge fear of needles and i almost went into preterm labor so i had to get weekly shots. Completely got rid of my fear 😭😂 i feel that once you get pregnant your fears go out the window
Btw they don’t pull out your organs! I’m a nursing student and doula and seen a lot of csections. They pull out the very top of your uterus a little bit after baby is out in order to close because it’s deflated and they need room to suture. But no intestines come out!
right your local animal scientist coming with (I think?) the answer to your question: getting your pink back! so flamingos get their pink colour from beta-carotene which is a red orange pigment and that is largely present in the food of flamingo (shrimps mainly and some algae). When a flamingo is has a young it gives this type of milk ('crop milk" from upper digestive tract) and looses its pink color. partly because they are not consuming enough of the beta-carotene because it ends up in the milk but their hormone levels change as well. With the change in hormone level the chemical balance keeping the pigmentation stable is disrupted and even more of the pink-orange color disappears. When the flamingo stops producing the milk and hormone levels return to normal it regains its colour!
This was a fun ep to watch! But I'm over here still stuck on the root vegetables with high levels of metals comment lol I'm totally on board the fact we all need to know what we're consuming, and the more whole/unprocessed foods you can manage to regularly eat, the better (I am simply not a girlie that can forego my pre-packaged snacks/treats, so I'll never be able to maintain the ultimate healthy diet and I'm okay with that 😅) But re: vegetables... yeah. If anyone was concerned to hear that they contain metal, don't panic! They've always contained traces (that's how nature works), and human beings do actually need our blood/bodies to contain a certain amount of these specific metals (iron being the largest quantity, of course). Like, our systems cannot function to their fullest extent if the levels get too far off what we biologically require. Especially important for oir brains! Which as a species we've always managed to maintain the balance of these metals we need in oir bodies by eating fruit, vegetables and meat. These days, we can of course pick a diet that suits us, and that's cool! To each their own 💪 It's kinda only the intentional additives/preservatives in foods to be concerned about. Or contaminated crops too, I guess, but that's someone else's department to monitor, as far as I'm concered haha. Personally, I have enough anxiety already without trying to think about such tiny food details and tracking intake of stuff beyond a quick scan to check a label for the things I'm needing to avoid, but if someone finds it helpful to approach their food this way, you do you! We all gotta just do what works for us in the end! No shade if that's your approach - more power to you! I just wanted to comment this in case the thought generated any new anxiety for anyone (👀 Jeremy) 😅
have you seen the videos of male & female gymnasts doing each others moves? it’s even crazier than the idea of a “normie” doing gymnastics, like these are professional athletes that just aren’t training the same skills and even they struggle
So lucky you didn’t throw up, I threw up everyday sometimes multiple times until 5-6 months wahhh…horrible. And I scream vomit…so dramatic. Also for constipation…yellow dragonfruit is yummy and helpful 😊 maybe you can look into adding some into your diet on the regular, but in SMALL amounts.

There’s a huge misconception on C-Sections! Your intensities are not removed. They are sometimes just moved over to gain better access to the uterus!
Nope.. I got a stomach virus and got sick multiple times and it did help the emetaphobia. 😆
One of your best episodes wow! ❤

You can go to the dentist while pregnant. We don’t recommend having anesthetic in the first trimester.
next guest should be molly carlson
have you seen the videos of male & female gymnasts doing each others moves? it’s even crazier than the idea of a “normie” doing gymnastics, like these are professional athletes that just aren’t training the same skills and even they struggle
