Hi Lexi, I was totally hyped for the Pearl highlighter, but with the glitter so evident, my heart sank when you swatched it. It would have been SO beautiful in a creamier version! The liquid highlighter is something I am interested in seeing, but I know it is quite golden, it will be interesting to see what your thoughts are, once you start testing it. Thanks for this video. U went shopping lol. so pretty still getting the error message . I want the pearly white in the lion at first I wanted the stars . Yes agree they needed to be smaller !
I heard if u take a Spong spray it with your settings spray and tap it on top it takes the sparkles away. But if it's that glittery idk if I want it I prefer a smooth let within that's why I passed on the holiday one . I'm sad I want the coral formula in the pearl color .

Thank you for your great in depth video! I got the holiday one and I was going to get the pearly white in the big one but after watching this I am going to save my money and put it to the new Valentino blush. I love the eye to cheek collection! Also the oversized ones are just so big. I have so many highlighters I could never use that much highlight so it would probably go to waste.

Just thought I'd mention for anyone bummed about the glitter chunks in the white highlighter, I highly recommend Haus Labs highlighter in Moonstone (I have a fair cool skintone) Just FYI. I heard Rare Beautys is good too but haven't tried it. Anyway so appreciate you saving me $!!! ❤ PS, just got the Chantecaille highlighter in Wild Acacia and it's a beautiful natural highlight. Looks too glittery
I think their mini stuff this summer, like the bronzer, did so well! I recently decluttered some oversized powder/luminizers for maybe summer 2022. And my giant bronzer.
I want the coral highlighter in the Camelia embossing. 🧡
That is a good choice! I'm wishing I had bought that combination. I think the la comete is a bit underwhelming in comparison.

Your video was really helpful. Holiday highlighter is on the way to me and I was happy to learn from you that pearly white is very similar to the white in the holiday one. Not sure now if will pick up pearly white or not. It is a lot of glitter in the size of the packaging for sure. I will probably most definitely will pickup the coral one as I've loved the color from your swatches comparisons. Peachy skin like highlighters isn't that easy to find from Chanel (or Dior for that matter), they're always either gold leaning or pink. I am loving the peachy shade from Dior 002 Glitz Backstage Glow Palette so here's to hoping that Chanel coral one will be similar in shade to it. We shall see. Thanks again!

Hi Lexi! Thank you so much for featuring two of the new Symboles oversize highlighters. If I were a Chanel collector, I would be very upset that these are not available in Canada (yet or at all). However, I buy makeup to wear it and I now consider it a blessing in disguise because I would have ordered the Pearly White and I would have been disappointed by the amount of glitter (the very reason I have not picked up the Holiday highlighter). I appreciate your arm swatches, your application demos using various brushes, your comparisons with other highlighters, and your honest opinion. I love the eyeshadow you are wearing in this video - I am now quite tempted to buy Chanel’s holiday quint. (I have to see if your link works for Canada.) I look forward to your next video.

Lexi, Thank you for comparing the Pearly White to the Duo Lumiere Holiday highlighter. It was very helpful. I have already purchsed the duo and like it better because it offers two shades at a lower price point. I don't use alot of highlighter so the smaller size is just right.

I totally agree that the holiday palette and the pearly white palettes are 99% identical. I believe with pearly white, you see white more.

Hello! Thanks for the video. I quite like the coral as a blush. I wonder how it would do with covering/blending in my broken capillary spots on my cheeks. Currently I use WA Peau de Peche in the compact for these spots and it works well. I need the metallic to reflect the light and not make them more red. A blush makes them redder, so I top with the highlighter to blur them.

They’re a huge difference in depth between the pearl and coral shade. I would have liked something in between. Also, I’ve just uploaded my video about the TF highlighter and a selling point for me is that it’s not glittery. So I may pick that one
I agree! There should have been a soft pink. I think you will like the TF. It's one of the best highlighter releases imo.
Hi Lexi, I saw all the designs yesterday at my local boutique and for me I loved the Camelia best in the coral color. That one suits my skin tone best. Like you, I prefer the holiday highlighter to the new pearly white, including the smaller size. I ended up purchasing the liquid highlighter which pleasantly surprised me. Just a little bit goes a long way for me. I also went home with a holiday gift set (couldn’t resist). Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the liquid highlighter next! Have a great weekend!

I wanted the pearly white highlighter when I first saw its picture, but the swatches remind me of the Fenty Beauty diamond bomb and Dior Forever Couture Luminizer 03 Pearlescent Glow. I mean I love them, they are so pretty but not suitable for daily wear because they are glittery. I think I will skip pearly white this time since I already have FB and Dior. Money saved!

Lexi, funny I tried to go online to purchase the exact same ones you purchased and kept getting the error message and gave up. I think after your review I would just purchase the Le Comete. I like the Pearl design but since your swatch shows it’s similar to the other highlighter I will pass & save some money. It looks really pretty on you as a highlighter/bronzer. I was so looking forward the pearly white highlighter, but I don’t want to do that much sparkle in a face highlighter. It’s too bad they are oversized. I would still pick one up just to have if they had done minis. I don’t need 14 grams of any highlighter, much less a sparkly one I’d only rarely use. And the designs are so pretty!

If i would purchase something (i am not), it would be that coral shade, and the symboles don't matter to me to be honest. They are beautiful, but like you said it would have been lovely if they made mini's of these, much better for the planet and much more affordable! But this type of coral, i still have Laura Mercier and other shimmery bllushes in these type of coulours that give me the same idea, Lexi. But great comparisons with the duo highlighter Chanel also launched, amazing, to white colours the same 🙃very good comparisons, this one as well!!! The only highlighter from Chanel i own, is Rêve de Camelia, further i love some other subtle highlighters from other brands. As highlighter is not my no. 1 makeup product, i would never pay 85 euro's for something even an MUA has hands full to come to the bottom of the product. Bummer. I love the white but those are some big glitter partials. I suppose as an eyeshadow it might be nice. I’m curious on my wrinkles how it will look. I wasn’t considering the holiday but if I’m going all in on sparkle the duo makes more sense.

The precious coral looks like a pretty close match to MAC's Fairly Precious. The Pearly White works for me because I just wanted the lighter shade in the holiday duo anyway.
Edited for shade comparison correction: It's actually right in between MAC's Fairly Precious and Just a Pinch (more pink than Fairly Precious, more pink than Just a Pinch), but is a little more satin in comparison.

I am not sure but I believe it is closer to the coral than the pearly white.

I think it's pretty sparkly. For a more wet look, you might want to consider Rituel de Fille or the Makeup by Mario Opal. It's tough to find a good white highlighter!

No the warm gold has been used before but i don’t have it. My SA has medium warm skin and it is her go to highlighter shade.

Hi Lexi, of course would make sense that would be smaller size, but you know Chanel is not so much common sense brand, its the more m the better, brand. They love high prices and increasing prices, so yep… and you know, i know if that would be not Chanel highlighters, i would not look at them twice, would be like what i dont need it. But Chanel puts a spell on you, 😳🤪😱, you start reasoning with yourself, lol. I dont know. Havent picked up any yet. Not rushing. If i pick up, its going to be , from Nordstrom, so if reality sink ins, that i dont like it, then its easy to return😜. Still thinking to get the duo, and also thinking of gold one in Camélia design. I was taking your advise and was looking for reviews, on previous signe du lion in gold. But its so many releases, not sure which one- 2017 or 2018. Also was more in whitish gold ( blanc or and wad in rose gold) , but those looked nice🤔 again if no one reviews, i will get from Nordstrom….but thinking maybe i dont really need it. I have Hermes in both colors, and they kind of gold. TF rose is nice, maybe gold would be nice too, or even maybe Chantecaille the powder look so glowing, but not over the top. What i really looking in gold one, that would be more luminizer, to use with big fluffy powder brush, you know instead of Guerlain meteorites to use, all over nice golden glow. Because i dont need another highlighter , if its only can be used that way… so yep i did picked up Sublimage liquid one. Hoping can be used underneath foundation, or slightly by itself🤔. Bummer about all the glitter on the pearly white. I’ll just stick to my Fenty, How Many Carats sparkle bomb. My 4 year old loves the sparkles and we use them on our arms. I would recommend that u just use all the glittery makeup u have to play with your girls and use it really heavy for Halloween. I mean that in a nice way. I never thought I would get so much use out of a big sparkly compact, but ALL my daughters love it and it makes having fun mother/daughter time. I do love glitter, but I don’t need anymore. Unfortunately, it’s a pass 😢
