This is crazy! I’ve been a fan for years. Thank you for covering my dads story ❤️❤️
Being a child of immigrant parents this really hit home, so I'm really glad your dad got the justice he deserved!
are you the real huuuyan
This story broke my heart. I feel sad for you and your father. But either way... if you fall, the best thing to do is get up, dust yourself off, and get right back on track. I hope your father finds a well suiting job for himself soon. I wish you and your family the best of luck and a great life ❤
WASSUP EMILY!!!
Emily Huynh small world
Respect immigrants who at least try. Even if it's broken English, they're still conveying information in a language that you're comfortable speaking.
On the other hand, there are some entitled ones. Like this old guy who started talking shit to me in Cantonese once for not knowing how to speak Cantonese to him. I could if I wanted to, I just didn't care to deal with an asshole.
It doesn't matter who we are, what matters is our plan. I live in Quebec, Canada. We also have our own entitled immigrants. My coworker has an ex whose mom doesn’t talk a lick of english or french. Each time she needed to go to the store, she would bring her son with him so he could translate.
It doesn't matter who we are, what matters is our plan. And as long as they're legal and respectful
Stfu nigga and respect my ass
aaaa duu ma
Whatever country you're in -- America, Japan, China, whatever -- the least you should do is learn the language. If people want to be entitled and not learn about the culture and country they're in, then they should go back to where they came from.
This is literally one of my favorite episodes.
"Isis back at it again guy."
The lip quiver when geo said “I thought I knew you giiirl” 😂 I think it’s the hoops making her more wacky😆👍🏼
I was cycling in the gym , was laughing for straight 10 min 🤣😂
JK ruined Vietnamese for me💀💀💀. I tried to get pho for the first time last year and every time the cashier would talk, I had to bite my cheeks. I successfully hid my laughter tho
Kellastico same, one of my uni friend is an international student from Cambodia & it sounds Vietnamese and every time he speaks I'm trying so hard not to laugh
I'm so used to people speaking Vietnamese (because I'm Vietnamese) but when my mom is answering calls at like the grocery store, some people stare at her or kinda laugh while I'm just minding my own business 😂. But don't worry, I always confront the people that made fun of her there.
Same!
Lol😭 I swear, I thought they were exaggerating at 1st, then I saw a vid of a man speaking Vietnamese and...
The extent of your English skill shouldn't define your eligibility to work (of course unless you need to be qualified for a specific purpose). My dad, who also happens to be Vietnamese, has been working for nearly 25+ years in a company with no one being able to perfectly understand him. No doubt at times some co workers communicate with him by highlighting certain words in sentences to understand each other, but at the end of the day hes a hard worker and thats what matters most.
Yes I do agree your english skills should be considered, but I am thinking in the scenario of this man and my dad. If they are working in a field that requires them to do nothing but hard labour ie delivering packages just like the presumed job in this story then english shouldn't become the top priority because their work ethic is what matters. If the job does rely on you knowing how to communicate with English skills, like this guy in the story whose suppose to be a HR manager then yes you definitely need to be qualified.
❤
Speaking as a Vietnamese American.......THIS SHIT IS HILARIOUS 😂😂 (the beginning of the video)
But the article itself hits home so hard, my dad and my mom are treated like this often and I can’t stand it. They understand English very well and they don’t deserve to be degraded in any form. They’ve worked hard from what they’ve come from, refugees turned to living the American Dream. I’m proud of them and I’m willing to throw some hands to anyone that insults them.
Joe laughs like a black mom.
This is what i signed up for.
Omg lol
I still keep coming back to this video. The guy is my dad, and the girl is my sister. I’ve been watching y’all for years. Crazyyy
It makes sense for certain jobs to have these sort of requirements. If you can't speak this [specific] language, then you're not picked. It's as simple as that. In this dad's case though, we wouldn't know since what job he was applying for wasn't included in the article. HOWEVER, it really was unprofessional and condescending as hell to mock him like that. I have parents who don't speak English too well, but they work their ass off.
When Bart mentioned his Uncle Same video 😂😂 that video is still a classic to me
There’s this dude name Bruce at my waitressing job (he’s a bartender) he doesn’t have a neck so i think Gina might be on to something 😂😂 but i choked on air when she described Bruce lol

it's 3 A.M just finished a college essay that's due in the morning. came straight to jk for a reward
I laughed so hard in this video. I love Bart doing the accent
i understand what casey is doing. like im learning japanese now. and when you cut all the fancy connecting words and just say noun per noun, i understand what youre trying to say. as long as you dont add an accent, it should be all cool. but i did watch this one episode of amazing race, looong time ago, this white dude kept repeating a place name to this japanese lady who didnt speak english. so he kept repeating over and over. and she still didnt get it. so he said the same thing but how a japanese would say it, then the woman respond "oh oh!" like she understood hahaha. so i guess it works sometimes. as long as youre not mocking. like you dont go to japan and say 'macdonalds' you say 'makudonarudo' or 'maku'. that's not making fun. thats just facts
Omg that first snap broke my heart with the "Grammer"
geo’s du me was so accurate lmao
Ou da Vietnamese accent 😂👌🏻
I love you guys so hella much I’m laughing and happy because of your videos, I’ve been fukn stressed and busy lately.
Yall r fucking hilarious😂
Omg the classic unco Sam video!!! How I fell in love with you guys! ❤️❤️
Bart mentioned uncle same priceless
Gina speaking Spanish while mocking/imitating other people is too funny. Reminds me so hard of Peggy from King Of The Hill 😂😂
if you read the title and clicked on this video expecting them to not impersonate the vietnamese accent through the whole video you haven’t been watching jk that long lmao
indeed
Honestly I don’t even look at the title anymore because I watch every video anyway😂😂
da vietnamese gang rise
I'm DEAD!! I will never watch jkn whilst traveling to work ever again. I couldn't stop laughing on the train
Laughed so hard at the end 😂😂
This was sadly relatable. My mom got fired from a job due to similar reasons. When she was hired they knew English was her second language. Then turned around and fired her😤 Now she has a better job with better pay so it's all good!
I'm really into Korean culture and my grandma, mom, little sister(at the time 11 years old), and I went to an Asian supermarket. My grandma and my sister were in line and some Asian lady asks if they were in line and my grandma says "Yes! Get in line! Get in line!" in an Asian accent. When we got in the car my sister was like "Grammie, you know that was racist, right?" My grandma is so confused lmao she didnt even know her voice changed.
Vietnamese people are beautiful, and da culture but the accent sound like they drowning or have water in they mouth
Jinin Tai lmao tell me why I did the accent to see what it sounds like and it does sound like I’m drowning with water in my mouth lol
Jinin Tai what do you expect when most of them are from rural village, the real southern Vietnamese accent is smoother than that.
I don't why people speak like that, my Vietnamese is so much smoother idk
Haha wtf
My first friend was Vietnamese and his name was Hi. He was the mudda best
I had the longest laugh attack when they were doing the Vietnamese accents XD
I submitted this article!

This has got to be my favorite intro!
The father is so precious ❤️
This video is hilarious, accents are just funny
"how the hell we suppose to work together?!" Im crying!!!
David So! Omg! Everything he does and says?!!!... lmao!
Joe's laugh at 1:40 got to me omg
Geo " thats already a shity company when you have someone running more than one dept" The irony there is insane
As a asian I'm so mad I can't do these voices like them.
David killed me at the end there
Thai tea all the way. Yum yum.
Gina's laugh at 3:04 sounds like a part from White Chicks! Haha! I love you Gina!! ❤❤
I came for the accents
Perfect that Gina was here
Its 9:30 what the heck
This is the earliest I've ever been.
OMG!!! This shit make me shit myself laughing! LMFAO
I’ve seen a guy at my school do that to Italian exchange students, but their English is better than the white boy tryna talk to them 😂
This is why I try my best in school so I have a better chance of getting a brighter future to help my parents
Geo lookin like a fine hyna lol *wink wink
i knew this was gonna be a good episode the second i read the title
I speak to my parents like that so that they can understand Lmao Now i feel like my english is broken.. " Hi mom lets go to Las Vegas... I mean Laaa VEGAT"
probably the funniest episode of jknews yet
I keep replaying the beginning LOOOL
ESP in America, I don’t care what Asian u r, be proud n lond, represent the south East.
I relate to this but my dad is deaf , so technically English is his second language . When he talks he sounds like a deaf person does and when he writes it’s exactly like how the Asian father wrote his email. (Sign language doesn’t use a, to, and, etc.) growing up I’ve had people treat my dad like he was mentally disabled and I’ve had teachers laugh when reading letters he wrote . It’s honestly so degrading , and disgusting . Especially to see your parents treated like that. My heart goes out to that girl and her father . They seem like great people .
I’ve also had people apologize when I say my dads deaf. It’s just ignorant .
Haha omg I miss the accents soo much😂 best plot twist at the end, they both don't know English😂
Everting is boom
Dope commentary.
Managers like this, I'm just like, where the hell did you get your "education"?
Aw man, I submitted this but someone beat me to it
My mom is Vietnamese/Cambodian and when she speaks English, I can’t help it but laugh 😭😭😭
If you look at Gina at 4:47, she's holding herself back from slapping a bitch
omg when i saw the dad with the note i started crying.. :(
Best episode
WHAT DAVID WAS TALKING ABOUT ACTUALLY HAPPENED TO ME! I was in California on a family "vacation" because please, this was literally us being there for a wedding and other events. And I forget where I was but all of a sudden a police officer started speaking to me in Spanish (I'm assuming it was Spanish) and I was just there dumbfounded because I didn't know what he was talking about but also amazed because I'm from Hawaii and that was like the first time I ever heard someone speak in Spanish, Hawaii gets more Japanese and Korean speakers than Spanish. It wasn't until after me explaining like 4 times that he caught on that I didn't speak any word of Spanish that he explained in English that I needed to move from the bench I was sitting on because they were gonna do something with it.
ANOTHER TIME WAS AT A FAMILY PARTY and I was in the Kitchen helping out my grandma and her siblings with the catering and she was speaking to me in Ilocano (a dialect of the Philippines) and I went out and then a nana from the party heard my grandma them speaking in Ilocano to me and she assumed that I was fluent so she went and spoke to me in Tagalog (another dialect but one I cannot understand) and I just stood there wondering why the heck I couldn't understand what she was saying. Lucky for me though, my grandma was there and she translated for me. Afterwards the nana told me how I should learn Tagalog instead of Ilocano but in my head I was just like "uhh... I am open to learning but my household speaks Ilocano soooo... plus I'm a 3rd generation American born"
“Du Ma” lol
Funniest video in a while BAHAHAHAHAHAH

Just submitted a news article, please do the Salcido news I sent. It happened in my old high school, and actually got up to the white house lol
I remember when I was younger I was traveling by myself to and from Mexico and you know they have the "kids flying alone" thing and there were these two children like 5-6 years old or they looked about that age, traveling alone with me and they could barely speak english. For a while they had a translator with them if they found one but we had to fill out the papers like if you're bringing any food with you etc. and IDK HOW they couldn't find a Spanish translator they had like several white people come up and started speaking to them like they were dumb and deaf. Literally yelling and they looked so scared and my spanish was horrible at the time but I tried my best to translate what I could and the workers were so horrible; rolling their eyes and being so impatient like these kids are traveling alone they're already scared enough as it is!
The whole viet accent sound like busta rhymes rapping😂😂😂
Being Vietnamese, I can relate 😂💀
Geo looks HAWT with dem earrings
I've always had problems with dash delivery employees
David's Viet accent is on point!
Bart’s Vietnamese accent sounds like he’s from the south.
My friend Sara is Vietnamese and her accent is so cute it's thick and stereotypical but it's adorable
