I absolutely love your videos. It’s so nice to know we’re not alone. I recently had somebody bump into my back with their arm when I was at a festival and they made a huge scene and wiped off my sweat onto my boyfriend’s shirt. They said “OMG I thought I just bumped into a sweaty jug of water.” That’s EXACTLY what not to say to someone with HH.
hi :) i never really comment but i just wanted to say that watching your videos has helped me much and made me feel less lonely in this situation. i'm 18 in a month, and 99% sure i have had hyperhidrosis since childhood. i sweat very intensively, mostly in my hands and feet. i've recently realized i've been hiding it, avoiding high fives ( just any kind of physical touch) and social events for almost my whole life and never really got to experience the teenage life my friends are able to live. i also struggle with anxiety and depressive episodes. i'm afraid excessive sweating might be the main reason i've developed social anxiety in the first place, yet it feels so embarrassing that when i went to therapy i never even mentioned it. i always try to deny it. it's so draining but your videos gave me courage to finally tell someone about it, and my mom is going to set up an appointment with a dermatologist, i can't wait to get a diagnosis and hopefully a proper treatment :(
Your comment made me feel so good! Thank you so very much, you aren't alone :) I hope to keep shedding light on our community to make us more understood. I should be posting a video sometime next week, but it may be hard with the holidays. ♡♡♡ I hope you have a fabulous day!
Being in high school, everyone just has an even more amplified reaction when they shake my hand and notice the drips, compared to adults lmaoo. Also, I didn't know there were ways other than iontophorosis or botox that could help in reducing sweat, I'm going to look into taking glycopyrrolate, thanks for letting me know.
Hello! Thank you for watching my video :) There are various different treatments for hyperhidrosis, each with their own unique sets of pros and cons. I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to your doctor and talk with them about what you are dealing with, they can help guide you in the right direction and possibly prescribe the medication to you! High school is already a weird time of life, and having hyperhidrosis in high school makes it even weirder! I think you're awesome, try not to let your peer's reactions get you down too much.
I just texted a friend that I have hyperhidrosis (clammy hands) and he would always want to give me high fives. I told him that I felt like I would let him down someway lol. IM SCAAAA---- Edit: I'm shaking! Good thing I'm in winter break. I'm going to start telling others too. I'm tired of hiding and being isolated!!!
Yes!!! High fives suck lol... it feels so good though when someone wants a high 5 and I'm actually dry. It's so normal feeling lol. Also, I wish you the best of luck with opening up to people♡ let me know how it goes! Have fun on winter break☆! Edit: realized that you DID tell a friend. That's so brave of you!!! I'm very proud of you!
Hi. Im also suffering from the same problem. Is there any treatment to eliminate this condition, permanently? As i have this condition i want marry a girl who suffers from this condition only . but sadly im not finiding anyone.anyone with this condition . please reach me. I will marry her . im from india . but ready to marry a girl from anywhere in the country who suffers from this condition
Hi Pola, I recommend to set up an appointment with your doctor or with a dermatologist to discuss treatment for your hyperhidrosis. I know it can feel scary, and hopeless, when you have this condition - but finding a health care professional who can help us is so good. There is some surgeries, but the risks can outweigh the benefit in some cases. There are many other treatments out there to help manage your sweating, but they are not permanent. They do help a lot though!! It makes life so much easier just to reduce the sweating to an extent, so please don't give up hope! Also, I do empathize with your wish to find a woman with hyperhidrosis, but I can tell you from my own experience that many people will not judge us for our condition. It is difficult because someone without it cannot fully understand what we live with, but as long as they love us and support us that it what matters!! Best of luck on your journey and I do hope you seek out some treatment for your sweating to experience some relief soon!
im 15, turning 16 next month, and i’ve been taking a medication called oxybutynin since i was 14 i think. it does dehydrate you really quickly but if you can get past that it’ll work quite well. at first i was on half a tablet 3 times a day, but they upped my dose to a whole tablet in the morning and half at lunch and dinner
Thank you for your comment Sky! So glad you found my channel. I take glycopyrrolate, which is similar to the one you take. But, it isn't always perfect at keeping my sweating away. I might increase my dose as well. I hope you have a lovely holiday
Have not tried it yet but I'm looking into it! So happy you have had promising results, I look forward to trying it some time soon, and I will definitely make videos about it! :)
Good question, I would say I actually have noticed increased quality of life! Although I haven't thought about it before, thank you for giving me an optimistic thought!
Girl at the gym: Have you tried washing your hands with cold water?
Me: .....ummm no, i haven't tried that!
Hahaha!!

34. Male. Extreme HH. Oxybutynin works. Just started it a few months ago. Talk to your doc.
Thank you Drew!!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend being SWEAT-FREE! Congratulations on finding a treatment that is working for you!
Did you try iontophoresis yet? I've found it to be the best option for me. I did glyco years ago, but now I just use the ionto.
Have not tried it yet but I'm looking into it! So happy you have had promising results, I look forward to trying it some time soon, and I will definitely make videos about it! :)
Do YOU still wake up at 4 : 30 am ?
I do indeed! What time do you wake up?
Sweaty Jen haha now I m “off duty” but I m planning to wake up at 5:15... PS I wake up now at 9am 12pm depends lol
Haha I have total faith in you being able to wake up early! It takes a little bit of adjusting but quickly becomes second nature! ♡
Sweaty Jen did you see progress in your life since you wake up so early ?
Good question, I would say I actually have noticed increased quality of life! Although I haven't thought about it before, thank you for giving me an optimistic thought!
