- The first #Genesis SUV gets a refresh for 2025 and the first-ever #GV80Coupe. The new #GenesisGV80 is still the brand's largest SUV and the coupe version also gets the more powerful 3.5L turbo and supercharged V6 making 409 HP. It will go on sale in early 2024.

They made this perfect. They literally rectified every little minor complaint of the pre-refresh, but didn’t ruin the looks that everyone likes.
Completely agree although it would have been nicer if they made the corners softer (slightly round) on the corners of the 27in screen. Actually making it slightly trapezoidal would have been nice as well.
I don’t think it matters much because Audi and BMW are doing that and surprisingly no one complains. I just think what Lucid and Cadillac are doing is nicer

Popular Opinion: Genesis is the only brand gives you everything in one price that out does almost every other brand for less price and looks amazing
People can hate on them, but at the end of the day, they aren't overcharging for "luxury" features.
Except it will fall apart because it's Hyundai made. Buy a Lexus or an Acura.

Duh it should be less money "Genesis" as a brand means nothing to most ,
IMO, this is the most elegant and sophisticated coupe within its segment. While the interior does share similarities from other luxury car brands, the exterior is completely unique. Really, there is nothing else on the market or on the roads that look even remotely similar. Compared to other car brands that offer so many models that you lose track of, Genesis has a very limited edit of vehicles that make them feel even more exclusive. I currently have a 2019 Lincoln MKZ and may trade it in come Spring. After seeing these refreshed vehicles, Genesis has really sparked my interest. With driving one of these, you won’t look like every other person driving down the road.
I’ve been searching for a car/SUV for a while which makes me excited (new or used) and this is the first one so far in a long time that I’m excited about.
If the current GV80 tops out @ 80k, this thing will be closer to 90k. I doubt many people will buy it.
They made an amazing SUV even better. Absolutely stunning vehicle in and out.
amazing design. Front, side and back are perfect. Cars never have all sides looking good. Usually some angle is ugly in EVERY car. But this one did a great job!
The steering wheel (and leather stitched hub) looks as nice as a Bugatti Chiron’s!!! …..Insane!! Genesis is REALLY ahead of the crowd!!! Plus, with that warranty, it’s a no brainer.
I LOVE the profile! It’s so sporty. I didn’t like the previous gv80 bc the back looked dumpy, but now it’s been fixed!! I plan to upgrade from my GV70 to this in 2024! Woot!
There's no legacy carmaker trying harder and delivering more than the Hyundai/KIA/Genesis brand right now.
Glad they toned down the grill, it was a little overkill on the prerefreshed version. I actually prefer the old interior slightly more; so many brands are doing the all dash display now that its starting to get repetitive. Although this one is slightly better than others.

I have a 2018 G80 Sport and it has been one the most reliable cars I have had. Genesis are a great brand for the price.
Lol. It better be reliable. It's 5 years old. I have an 04 Ford Explorer with over 230k, still running good. Now that's reliable. 😂

I love this new color. I wish they'd offered it on the GV70 when I bought mine! Normally I don't love the coupe body style but they've really nailed it with this one. Genesis continues to do everything right.

Looks like a longer version of the Mercedes Benz GLC coupe. I think the Porsche Cayenne coupe looks better
A great looking car with great potential in a crowded segment, dominated by the Germans.
Genesis continues to make adjustments to their vehicles that look great, especially in person. My buddy got a 2023 GV80 and the fit and finish is on par with anything in its respective class

No he didn't get a 2025 GV80. Guess again.
We’ve had a 2021 GV80. The touchscreen was useless based on reach. Unfortunately it was totaled last year. We wanted to replace it immediately but figured it would get some type of refresh, so glad we’ve waited, we’re not a coupe SUV type of buyer but the changes to the regular GV80 address every significant annoyance we had with our 2021. So glad we’ve waited.
While I'm not one for the coupe body style so many manufacturers are leaning towards, Genesis has done a great job by stretching the wheel base out a little and not making it look so stubby. It's beautiful inside and out.

Thank you for the video, especially showing us the rear seat + trunk space. Seeing you physically get in and sit in the rear, it is clear there is a compromise in headroom. I currently own a GV80 now and thought about upgrading into the newer coupe version, but that compromise is a deal breaker for me. The squared back is still an option, but don't know if it is "enough" to warrant purchasing an upgrade. I am still VERY happy with my current GV80.
I wish they were able to have better release dates for the coupe! I remember the GV70 release was supposed to be March but ended up not arriving in dealerships until June. I hope this "early next year" doesn't end up being summer. Hopefully they can start taking orders soon and perhaps have March deliveries.
I’m assured that it’ll be out for US consumers around that timeframe. They are already in production and for sale in the Korean market.

Many upgrades like the steering wheel and grill .The best one of all is the extra power with the electric supercharger.Great vehicle that should compete with much more expensive vehicles.
Sofyan the pre-refresh GV80 had 3-zone climate control & heated & ventilated rear seats depending on the package it's equipped with
Great review of a great vehicle. What do they call the new exterior color? I have a GV80 going on 3 yrs and absolutely NO issues just comfort and smiles as I step on the accelerator.
Of all the new BMW, Mercedes and other luxury brands, this is the only vehicle of this style that actuall looks good.
Finally wireless AA/carplay!!
Now I just need lock/unlock sensors on the rear door handles and the car is perfect!

What's the point of adding the complexity of an electric supercharger to a 3.5 Liter twin turbo charged v6 and you're not even getting a full 100 hp increase? Im sure that the 3.5 can make 409hp without the electric supercharger.
They'll probably offer the 3.5L twin-turbo V6 without the e-supercharger & then with as the step up model

This gv80 coupe is not a refreshed or revised vehicle. It is an all new vehicle that shares some/certain components with the standard gv80.

The GV80 Coupe was a stroke of genius and this version finally looks like it would compete against other high end luxury vehicles in the same class. Good to see Genesis continue to improve.
idk if it’s just me but the screens look really low, like you kind of have to look down a bit further than in most cars, either that or the seat is jacked up pretty high

I believe that is one single continuous OLED screen instead of two separate screens. At least it is if that carries over from the Korean spec. Can’t wait for it!
Overall, the 2024 model looks great. Not crazy about the single gauge/infotainment screen just stuck on dash. Looks like they took the cheap and easy way out instead of integrating into dash. Quilted seat look is dated in my opinion and not crazy about the jarring red seat belts
I was scrolling through the comments to see if anybody shared my view on the gauge setup. I really cant understand why do the car companies think it's desired? How much more money and resources would it take to integrate the screen into the dash so it would flow with the rest of the interior? This is even worse than the idea of having a sticking out screen in the middle of the dashboard from a few years ago.
Yeah, I don't see how having a huge screen that looks like it was glued onto the dashboard as afterthought is an improvement. Every time I see one in a vehicle it just looks cheap to me.

I know this will be unpopular but a wiper on the back window. I get that it will/May ruin the lines of back silhouette but so important to have.

Have a gv70. Love the design of the new coup, but absolutely hate the screens. Get back to traditional gauges

Damn this review is making me rethink saving up for this. Seems a bit cramped, and the armrest having next to no storage space is not ideal. Don't like that dashboard either.

Nope. Sorry, but that instrument cluster looks ridiculous. Let’s take a 2 foot-long screen and jam it onto the dash. Looks like they just glued a couple of sideways iPads up there.
I just bought the 2024 GV80 Prestige 3.5T... for $82k. Looking at the 2025 coup, I wouldn't buy it!
