CS-1RS stylus is nearly as expensive as the cartridge and stylus with about a 30 pound difference. So instead of just replacing the stylus , Its nearly as cheap just to buy the whole thing again and again..
I just bought the Numark. It sounds completely different than on this video. On this video compared to the Ortofon the Numark sounds much more weighty and full bodied. Mine sounds exactly the opposite!!!!!! It sounds extremely bright, i would say abrasive!!!!!! Any ideas why?????? Does it need a lot of "burn-in????? Will it change after that??? I also bought the Reloop Black, for comparison. The Reloop Black sounds better right out of the box. More natural, highs-mids-lows are all there. With the Numark i only hear the treble. It sounds louder. I really can't explain why it sounds so different than on your video. I expected to sound heavy, honestly... !!!!!
Pure levels... The numark pickup is louder and the low sounds is better than ortofon pickup. The major difference between of two pickups the price and lifetime :) IMHO the numark pickup is mutch better for home/hobby use.
