My daughter didn’t want the kind of dress I would have preferred, but I kept my mouth shut. Her day. Her way.
Good for you. I cannot get why all these mothers care so much!
Honestly whats the point in bringing your mother to an appointment if you dont value her opinion or if she isnt honest with you(in a nice manner)
You are a considerate, wise mom. Your daughter is blessed to have you.
Thank you!
I agree. I wanted to wear my mother’s dress. I’m the only one in the family whose build would fit it. But it was white & it was my second marriage so she was horrified that I’d wear white. This was in 1994 so long past that rule!
How awesome to find a husband and a mother in law that completely accept you for who you are 😊
yeah, the proposal???! wonderful people who love her!
But it is easy for the mother of the groom, becuse the young couple will live close to her. I know that the mother of the bride should accept it,but it's her who is in a heart breaking situation, not the mother of the groom.
But your mom does not
@@Anna-fm7hh I live close to both my mom and mil, havent spoken to my mom in four years, my mil, yesterday
The pink dress is GORGEOUS!
And the second bride chose a beautiful dress.
Yes!!! That delicate pink floral dress was completely stunning and feminine and gorgeous!!!
Beautiful floral dress. Stunning. Best choice
My sister chose a pink dress. It wasn't super dark pink or anything. It was blush, but my mom loved it and so did everyone else and no one said a word.
The pink flowered dress is gorgeous. She looks beautiful in it.
I don't like it. It reminds me of wallpaper
For a 2009 style, yes. That's when this was filmed.
I loved it. It was unique, extremely pretty, very feminine...totally looked fantastic on her and didn't overwhelm her either.
@@jb67122004 not 2009
But how does that dress fit in with the desired theme, it's pastel, $600 over budget and somewhat wishy washy? The dream was to match the decorative boxes from the engagement. The bride seems to be so easily distracted with her budget, style choices etc Her mother is aware of this, knows her best and can see this. Strong willed does not equate maturity here.
It's incredibly sad when someone else's mother makes your child feel more accepted than you do.
It is kind of understandable, though. The mother has been visualizing her daughter in her wedding dress since she was born; the mother-in-law has no such preconceived notions.
@@s.susanmarandi9080 it's not understandable at all. You shouldn't have those kinds of expectations that don't impact you or your child in any way. Having expectations to the point of your child feeling unaccepted for having likes and dislikes and preferences is just overbearing.
@@SunBeeSmokedit’s always 9000x easier to accept someone else’s kids life decisions rather than your own kid. If the kid down the block wants to dress as a furry to high school it’s fine. If mine does it he’s gonna get a whooping.
It is because they are not their mothers. A mother will always be particular about her child that doesn't mean she won't support her child. There is an obvious bond between this mother and child
@@Vincenty90That is so true! My cousin had a baby out of wedlock, had a shotgun wedding and dropped out of college and my mom was so supportive. But if it was me, she would have killed me. Those are all things my mom does not expect from me.
I will never understand how these mothers can’t understand that it’s not about them. It’s not their wedding and it’s not their dress. How can they seriously sit there and only focus on what they want?!
Because it’s about the spectacle of the wedding and it could be the mom’s didn’t get the wedding of their dreams or want to relive.
@@jeswainston still doesn't give you pass to ruin your dauther experience.
@@morganablackwater2017 I never said it did. Where did I say that? I was explaining. Yeesh. Calm down.
Yeah I totally understand the psychology of what’s driving the desire. What I don’t understand is how they can think it’s ok to prioritise their own needs over their child’s.
@@jeswainston i didn't get the wedding of my dreams and i can honestly say that when/if my daughter gets married, i will be singularly obsessed with making sure she gets the wedding of HER dreams, not mine. will i let her know if something looks tacky or clashes? sure. will i help her find a way to achieve HER vision and inject HER taste in a way that still looks classy, like randy did with this bride? absolutely. THAT is my job as her mother.
1st bride's mom, I understand that's her baby. But her daughter needs wings every bit as much as she needs roots.
Well said! Love that! 💕
Well said.
Couldn’t agree more
"getting married for her first time in a white dress" That speaks volumes about what her Mum thinks about her daughter's marriage! What a hateful thing to say!
I thought the same! So disrespectful
That was the mother-in-law not the mother who said it.
I thought I was the only one who caught that.
She meant that it it would have been a second wedding a different color dress would be more acceptable.
@@OpheliaSeesno. It was the brides mother that said it.
Oh my gosh! How could anybody not like that second dress? It's absolutely magnificent!!! The embroidery and colors are gorgeous!!!
It's gorgeous but it doesn't fit the leopard/hot pink theme, I think, it's more like a formal China pattern. I love the floofiness of the first one!
It looks like an eiderdown
That pink worked for her, she looked great
she is beautiful and the pink floral dress looked so pretty
Her mil is a gem! The bride is strong willed and not swayed by any of the comments. Kudos to both of them
"I picture Tiffany getting married......the first time...". Whoa, Tiffany's mom, that's below the belt shade. Poor form. No wonder they are moving to Colorado.
She wanted the symbolism she raised her with, nothing wrong with that. Only if she had forced it, but she eventually was won over. Mom seemed pretty young herself, maybe not still with Dad and thinking ahead.
Nah, mom is ridiculously self centered. She should have STFU and supported her daughter from the start. Mom is probably 50 but doing all she can to look younger.
@@alisons9740 she’s referring to how she said the “1st time” meaning this marriage won’t last.
I agree, smart groom
Not only did her future MIL support her 100%, they look so alike! It could be her daughter, and now, through marriage, she IS. 💕
That MIL is an angel. They’re both so lucky to have found each other. She gets to enjoy being a part of his family, and they get to enjoy how sweet she is!
The bride is the person who MUST CHOOSE HER DRESS!!
Well, she did, so I'm not sure why you're shouting, lol?
My mother bought and mailed my wedding dress sight unseen. My wedding was all about them. They (mom and dad) I was finishing up my masters degree and graduated and got married the next weekend. They did a beautiful job and at 500 people we cleaned up in the gifts department. It never bothered me. Not once. I was grateful.
I am just not that girl who dreamed of a wedding. I dreamed of flying jets
That is why she should go alone or at most with one person who is supportive.
It depends on who's paying for the dress. If a mom is paying, then she gets a vote. Since Tiffany is paying for it herself, her mom's opinion is only as important as Tiffany gives it.
@moniqueengleman873
that is very bizarre, but I understand some people really don't give a flying f*** about their wedding and the details.
After all, it's the marriage that counts! (Not choosing your own dress is really messed up though! imo)
She looks beautiful in that embroidered flower dress. I am so glad her mother in law is so supportive and loving.
I love that her MIL is so supportive. I loved her in the pink flower dress!
That pink flowered gown was spectacular. If I had it to do all over again, I'd go with that gown.
I don’t understand why these wedding salons don’t have more variety of colored dresses. There was this girl in London who wanted a Steampunk wedding theme and they found her this stunning eggplant fitted gown. Everyone has a right to have their dream dress.
These are old episodes maybe 2012. At that time, it wasn’t that common colored wedding dresses. Of course, anybody should marry as they please, they just want to go to the right place.
Supply and demand. They have only so much space and a huge majority of their customers want white or ivory. Sometimes it might be better to go to a formalwear store.
It would be impossible and impractical for a bridal salon to try and anticipate all the various colors brides might want. They'd have to have salons the size of an Amazon warehouse to house dresses that would have bridal appeal for all of, what? Two months, max?
I saw that episode, and the bride and the dress were gorgeous!
They can always go to a non-bridal salon with ball gowns and evening dresses
The dress the first bride chose is GORGEOUS!! I'm so happy she went with the cream floral one, it's beautiful!
LOVE the second bride! "I wear peanut butter more than I wear real shoes" - classic mom statement! 😄 I also have three kids, and that's just reality.
That pink gown is Gorgeous! What a beautiful bride!
Until Queen Victoria, wedding dresses were not all white. She started that trend. So as long as you like the dress you can wear what ever color you like. It is just crazy that because of one person ,now everyone thinks it's written in stone .
If ever I was to get remarried my dress would be blue. 🩵
Go mother in law!! I love how she is pushing for Tiffany!! That is so refreshing to see! Especially with her mom being so pissy.
It’s so nice to see second time brides here. Having gone through a divorce myself it feels heart warming to see people getting a second chance.
I had one but I wore a champagne color…
The mother in law of the first bride is being so supportive! I love it!
I love that pink dress she picked! She looks gorgeous! Good for her for sticking to her guns! 💕
I love they found an elegant, beautiful version of her vision.
The embroidered dress was so gorgeous. It was perfect. And the second bride was a good look too, amazing!
The pink floral dress was stunning. I would have loved to have something like that available when I got married.
The pink dress was gorgeous!! Randy scored on this one!!
The second bride just seemed like such a lovely and caring woman. I hope she gets everything good in life.
These consultants who always say 'a little over', when it's more than $1000 over is cruel. She said $5000 for it ALL, alterations and veil included.
To be fair, in this case, she wanted something specific. And this episode is from over 15 years ago so there weren’t a lot of options outside of a white traditional gown.
Exactly!!!!
she already asked and she agreed
Well sometimes ya don’t always get what you want
Problem is, when you want something outside of the box or what is normal off the rack, you should expect that it is going to cost you. So in my opinion, she got off lucky with only $600 more that what she stated. And for a look as special as that, it was worth it.
I love the pink floral dress!
I don’t know why she didn’t go with a pink sash. The leopard print looks terrible unless you’re getting married at a zoo in front of the Leopard exhibit.😂
I love the dress with the veil and the bouquet she looks absolutely stunning and unique. It is sad that her mother is wanting to hold on to her child not see the woman that her child has become. Great job Randy.
I think all brides should go to pick a dress on their own. Its their day after all 🌹
The dresses on both brides looked absolutely spectacular
I can never figure out why anyone but the bride has a say in the dress. They're obly there as another opinion, but it's ultimately the BRIDE'S DECISION
Loved the pink floral dress ! Much better choice than the leopard print sash and hot pink ruffled bottom ! Haha
The embroidered pink dress was one of the most beautiful wedding dresses I have even seen in my whole life! It is spectacular! Great Choice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember this episode and really liking the first bride. I thought she was super cool and I loved the idea of a pink dress.
I myself got married last year and my dress was a pinkish color
Coloured dresses are absolutely gorgeous. Totally on board with the brides vision. You go girl!! 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷
My daughter got married in a royal blue dress. She looked stunning.
@@lanamack1558 How lovely 🥰. I bet she looked incredible! I personally got married in lavender grey with rose gold sequins. Totally loved it ✨🩶💜🤍✨
Not sure about a bride who thinks of her wedding as sweet 16
Exactly! Gave the feels like she never grew past her sweet sixteen party that she might’ve wanted.. it’s okay to want to bring your dreams alive on your special day, but they’ve gotta have your other half IN the imagination, IN the wedding..
Thank you! I came to the commets to see peoples reaction to that but everyone is so stuck on her mom wanting a white dress, I feel like if your thinking of it as a sweet 16 maybe you arent really ready for a wedding yet? Like, It just doesnt say "lifelong commitment" to me, I could be wrong 😂
People need to realize that a colored dress doesn’t make the bride, the bride being most happy in the dress SHE loves is what makes the wedding day.
Both of those pink dresses were absolutely gorgeous. And Holly brought me to tears, she looked beautiful.
What a pretty dress! Love the hair piece! So much better than leopard print sash
The fiance's mom is more mom to the bride than the bride's own mother! The mom has it so set in her mind that her daughter "NEEDS" to wear white, just because she wore white to her first communion? Let it go! This is her WEDDING! Cheers to the Mom in law for telling her straight, it's her wedding, so GET OVER IT!
I love, love, love the pink patterned dress.. It looks beautiful on her.
I would not have considered pink but geez these 2 pink dresses are soo beautiful. I really really love the dress she chose. I would love to see a version suitable for a party. Sooo sooo love it!
A beautiful dress but a awful lot over budget, when you add on the veil and headpiece, also alterations. I guess when you want different, you are expected to pay for it.
Second bride to be, also looked beautiful. Every happiness and best wishes to both couples ❤
If you want different you either pay a LOT or you do it yourself... That is a fact
This was filmed 15 years ago, 2009. They both likely have half a dozen kids each, and are long, long ago over their wedding dresses!
@@jb6712Yup, my sister in law rented hers 23 years ago and no longer remembers her wedding dress. The wedding dress is not as important as people make it to be.
FYI 2013
The first bride's final dress was just perfect for her. I also like the all white dress with the leopard sash.
I love that floral dress.
Prince bride’s choice was perfect and amazing on her. The second bride looked really good as well
Loved when the mother said, "I pictured her getting married *the first time* in a white dress'.
1:23 small detail but I love that she mentioned her price point includes alterations and veil. So many times they'll go over that with just the dress alone. But it's a good boundary she has set.
Edit: spoke too soon, they went over xD
They told her before she decided to try it on. Not like she was blindsided
She looks stunning in the flower dress
Her choice.
I don’t understand how a mom can’t prioritize her own vision of her kid’s wedding day over her kid’s clearly stated wishes. I’m a mother as well and just don’t get how you sit there sulking because your daughter is happy in a pink dress that just isn’t what you pictured.
I liked the first bride better in the first pink dress than the most expensive flowered dress.
Sameeee it was so cute
The bride is 23 yrs old, in Pharmacy School and her mother is having problems letting go of her?
Mama needs to grow up!
My late mom never let me go until she passed away.
@@TrinhNguyen-sh4fj I am so very sorry that you had to wait so long ♥️
@@gracegoodenough5895Thanks but I miss my mom a lot and I was her only daughter of 7 boys and we were very close. But she was overbearing and over protective which hurt me a lot.
The second bride: "I feel pretty!"
Me: "because you are pretty!!"
The mother knew she was being too much because she giggled when she realised how she sounded.
“A sweet 16” theme on a wedding venue is contradictory in terms when it sounds like “immaturity at a mature statement in life”
But the second pink did look great on her. With a veil, it does make her look more like a bride and not a guest in her own wedding.
I feel like she’s just trying to put her vision into words that make it easier to picture. And I also think that everyone puts too much pressure on brides to do the conventional thing rather than what they want
@@Rat-qj1te that’s true. Yeah
Weddings don't need to be mature at all.
I actually like the first pink one the most.
@@TrinhNguyen-sh4fj it was a very pretty dress. Just not for her. :)
Good for her! Mom should be proud of her strong daughter.
I adore the second bride’s graceful gratitude for her groom and happy family.
The first bride has a stunning dress and headpiece that suit her magically.
stunning pink dress and she looked gorgeous
As a south asian bride I always dreamt of a hot pink lehnga dress instead of classic red. Many tried to convince me to go with traditional red but I went with my choice and even had to let it customly made. It was awesome. To date the most beautiful wedding dress I personally have seen ❤
Holly, love erything she says, And the nice relationship she has with her children and her appreciation for her spouse in her second matrriage after her divorce. What a quality woman. I hope she has a very happy life.
I agree with Randy, hot pink tulle would have been hideous. If you're doing to do pink, that elevated style is the way to do it.
Sometimes when I watch the old shows the dresses I thought were amazing then I think now are not so great but the pinkish dress with the embroidered flowers is still beautiful.
Honestly the dress was so stunning, I was mad when she took it off the first time. I didn’t like Nr. 1 but Nr.2 and Final was just PERFEKT.
Both brides were happy with their dresses, but that first one? WOW. You cannot beat Randy's style and choices for what the bride says she wants. He is spot on 99.9% of the time. If I was ever to get married, I am heading for Randy. Or Gok.
It's so sad that the bride's own mother couldn't accept her the way she is. The bride's future mother-in-law is amazing and accepting.
that second bride and her family were so wholesome omg
My daughter wore a red wedding dress. Her wedding, her choice ..... and she looked beautiful.
THE 2ND DRESS IS GORGEOUS!!! I ADORE floral embroidery like that and i can still get bridal vibes from it since the base color is like an off white
being from "old school generation...." i know what wearing white used to mean, BUT.....with a lot of people living together these days, i'm not sure why sooooo many get zeroed in on the color anymore. it's not like everybody doesn't know that you've been living together for, 3/4/5 years so......what's the big whup please.
White is for purity and virginity.
Precisely! And in the UK, they often live together so long, their kids are out of high school by the time the couple decides to get married...and the ridiculous brides still insist on wearing expensive white gowns.
This was filmed 15 years ago, 2009.
The floral dress is spectacular
Well the third dress did it ! with that beautiful bouquet and veil that Tiara Omg ! she looked very beautiful
I know it’s what “she wants,” and whatever makes her happy…but she’s not having a “sweet 16,” she’s getting MARRIED! Big difference 😂
That pink floral is beautiful. I would wear it, for my wedding😀 it's her wedding, her happiness is most important...
Mother in law for the win!! She knows the bride better than her own mother. Sheesh
That dress with the embroidered roses was so pretty on her...
I never said anything when I did this with my daughter. I raised her to use her mind. I told her she looked amazing and that was it.
Both of the pink dresses were beautiful.
The floral gown is beautiful on the bride! 🌺🌸🌼
The mom said shes always pictured her in a white dress😮....so....take a picture of her in a white dress...
Its HER day....its HER WAY
The floral dress is the perfect choice, suits the bride and looks beautiful. Something different from the regular gowns.
The first pink was like a cloud. The 2nd pink was beautiful & appropriate.
When the mom said "It looks like your first bedspread" you could see the bride's face just fall. It was cruel to say that and obvious she's said cutting comments like that to her daughter all of her daughter's life. Perhaps this is why the bride moved to Colorado.
How hard is it to say, "If you love it I love it"? Or "I'm happy if you're happy."
I think the hot pink tulle with leopard sash and the last dress was better suited to her theme. Same with the first pink one. The second one is a different look. How does pale pink embroidery fit with hot pink and leopard?
First btb .. the dress was freaking gorgeous..so glad randy convinced her
I gasp when she came out with the pink floral gown. I was sad when she went back but I'm really happy she went with the dress. It's lovely
They must have erased my freedom of speech but I will say it again. Mother-in-law's have no business At bride picking out her wedding dress. This is special between mother and daughter.
MIL was invited. This is all scripted for the most part anyway. As for my kiddo, I don’t care what she wears if she gets married as I know she will look beautiful and I will cry.
I totally agree!
That MIL is trouble. Tiffany... you've been warned.
Loved the embroidered dress. I had a heavily embroidered dress, but it was more colourful, and my mother’s reaction was “oh that’ll look nice screwed up on the bedroom floor”. She then told me, in front of the designer, I could cut it up to make cushions out of it. Not everyone is blessed with a nice mother.
Mom's like that annoy me like it's not your wedding!!!
Second bride with two children Looked pretty Congratulations
I love the dress she ended up with! Its just so pretty!
Pink embroidered dress is gorgeous and very unique and unusual, definitely something for someone looking for a 'wow' factor. It's also a type of dress that can be restyled as a tea-length or cocktail dress later, if wanted. My Mom got married in the 50's and wedding gowns in colors were the rage, Mom had a pink dress. In college, a friend with red hair had a pale green dress as a white dress just washed her out with her red hair and very fair skin tone. Go for color gowns if you want it, it's your dream.
Why can't mother accept this is there daughters wedding, not their wedding
Their
