I think that’s a pretty churlish and nasty response. No reasonable person - or anyone over 8 - would think the video’s title was truth in advertising. The fastest cake in the world you can get is one you buy at the store. Usually, they come in cellophane wrappers and, of course, you get all the unpleasant chemicals and preservatives, too. This is a homemade cake and for something from scratch, I think it’s pretty fast. By the time the pudding mixture cools, you can have the rest done and it will cool down faster in the fridge or even in the freezer for a short while.

It certainly looks good, and is a clever idea, but no, not 'fast' at all :)) My lemon drizzle recipe is both faster and less complicated 😋 Possibly with less washing up,always a bonus if you don't have a dishwasher

For a first-time baker, I'd say 45 minutes of work, counting cleanup. No offense to the recipe, and I know many fine recipe channels have quickness-related clickbait. But it is clickbait.
