You got the SE Victoria rain forecast correct for my area 48mls for the last Thursday update. Thank you. You’re forecasting is the most accurate of them all.

Very useful update! Thanks Phil and team. If this is manageable and sustainable in terms of your workload, I'd love to see it continue.
That said, I really do appreciate the more in depth forecasts released on Thursdays. I love your passion for meteorology and your ability to translate the more technical elements of meteorology into simple terms (even though I really do love the more technical side too).

Usually I watch the NZ forecast keeping my eye on the east coast of Australia to see if there are any changes. I hope all that wet weather that we were blessed with does cover the necessary areas of New Zealand as it did us. Just keep those easterlies coming as it means we are having a warmer autumn. Limestone coast now in single digits overnight, autumn is here. We are very dry for this time of year, about 100mm short on last year. Garden needs a good drop of rain. First wk of April more rain than we’ve seen for entire Feb & March combined !

I'm on the Sunshine coast and a friend is coming with a tractor to pull me out of being bogged in my own backyard!!! NO MORE rain please. 😉

Basically BoM would be the only ones producing long range forecasts like that. They should build a pipe from Sunshine Coast to Victoria to drain your water and give it to those more in need! :)
