    Whoever put the filter access point there needs to be court trialed for crimes against humanity. I spent half an hour head upside down trying to get the new one to slide in. It was made of thicker mesh and refused to bend as easily. I finally got it going into the position and now I feel nauseous because of head rush.

      I exchanged mine today and I agree it's a terrible place to put a filter you have to replace every year.
      On my other car (a VW group one) it's just a matter of opening the bonnet, remove cover, out with the old in with the new.

    • @louisns
      @louisns 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Same frustration here..I saw that the old one had a little cuts by whoever changed it so it can bend easily

    I think they make it this difficult to make people go to the dealer for replacement. It's ridiculous that you have to dismantle the dash just to gain access.

    I just wanted to find out if it was inside or behind the windscreen washer mechanism cover and I ended up watching the whole video because it was therapeutic.. nice work !... Plus I had a chuckle when camera changed while he was installing the new filter .. I pictured him swearing because it wouldn't go in nicely.. great cutscenes and angles. ... For that I will subscribe.

      Same here. I bought the tools after watching this video, and found out, that both the bit and the socket were different sizes. The video mentioned a T27 bit, but I actually needed a T15. The socket no7 was also too big, and the car only had 2 bolts, not 3. Maybe it's because our car is a Vauxhall, but as far as I know, it supposed to be identical with Opel, isn't it?
