....well, as usual, I'm way behind the drag curve in completing the session. I did a 35 min Z2 session, 3 min break, then this session. Now I'm going to have to re-do my 2k time because I was at 1.47 for the last interval, which is my current 2k-20. I've followed you for some time (4 yrs), and my general fitness has definitely improved, so thank you so much from an old fat bloke.
Great Zone 5 Row. I managed to stay in Zone 5 from rep 3 to rep 15 and even hit over my max HR in the last rep. Thank you for the push and motivation John.
#getfitwithrowalong Thank you! For me today it was 3,310 m within 11 intervals. The last one was the fastest at 2k-7. HR was at it's hard max almost up to the collapse stage. I am drained totally, without any energy for any Maffetone walk today. I don't know it I am getting fitter, but I know, that I can ride about 50 km through hills on road / gravel basically within one leisure ride on my bike. It was impossible for me before I started rowing. I easily bypass other cyclists but those vegans in flashy clothes on road carbon bikes. I can climb hills, that others have to push their bikes through... I think, that it is a wonderful feeling, to be able to move efficiently. Chillies (not a carrot) are your trademark, so use them!
Thank you. I felt like the carrot at the end, only more red than orange, and I made it all the way to the end, the carrot dropped dead to the mat at 3:30 already at the first increase in pace 😂
So, after the disappointing row yesterday, I wasn’t looking forward to this one. But it turned out better than expected. I was rowing at 32spm and about 2K-8 for most of it, so definitely put in the effort. On top of that, the wifi connection in the gym dropped so I carried on solo and ended up 2 intervals ahead before it started replaying. Only realised after I’d rowed an extra one. 😂 #getfitwithrowalong
Yeah, all the TH-cam promotion people hate them - as they tell me they get in the way, but I think it's more important for people to see at a glance how tough the workout will be.
I really try, I row at 30, lower then 2K, out of breath (sort of) and sweating. But my HR is still in zone 3. Didn’t touch zone 5. Could I go faster? Not without loosing technique. So, is it lack of fast musclefibers? Or of strength and power? HR will rise in a longer fast session, but not in these short bursts.
