So what's the industry accepted level of patching for 2017 and beyond versions where we just have CUs and not SPs ? Do we need to patch every quarter with N-1 or N ?
Brent - are you only a theory guy - just talk? We are not high school students. We know most of the things you are bragging about. Please show us engineering hands how - how you do things on. That's it. You may not have hands-on experience or knowledge. Get out of here. Don't waste your time.
Sure, check out my Watch Brent Tune Queries videos, or hire me for consulting. I've worked as a DBA for over 20 years, and since I started consulting, I've worked on over 1,000 SQL Servers. Great question though and I don't take offense at it at all - there are definitely theory-only people out there.
@@BrentOzarUnlimited I have no clue what the OP is on about. Anyone can apply patches. It's not rocket science. This video addresses on how to approach the patching. Just what I wanted.
Oufff amazing!!! thank you very much brent
Thank you so much!
I think its better to change the version than doing this risky patches.... right?

Ayushi - make sure you actually watch the video. There is no "industry accepted level."
