the opponent in game one is exactly what is wrong in yugioh nowadays, they have no plays, only cards to stop others from playing stun decks are only oppressive against meta decks because most meta players never actually used their brains nor built their own decks, most of them just copy paste deck list from someone else and follow the combo sheet nice to see celtic guardian and starlight road have a chance in the spotlight, thank you for sharing
exactly that... Yu-Gi-Oh today is much easier than it used to be. Any idiot can memorize a combo that puts 4 negations on the field. You don't even need to think to play...
@Pandaofmountain that statement is just not true. Since handtraps and negates exist you have to adapt your combo and find new ways to even set up. Have you even played modern ygo? If so, you would know that your practiced combos will almost never happen the way to learned them in solitair mode. What makes modern interesting and more complex than old school ygo is that you need to play around certain interactions while you have to react to other ones. Goat Format for instance has the same basic problems you are preparing yourself for. Cold Wave, Skill Drain, Jinzo, TER and Spy are also annoying and skill-free problems that can auto ruin you. Modern is not just 'build 4 negates and pass'. It is a game of 'I start, I play around and through your interactions to build as much resilience as possible vs I go second and I try to break what you accomplished'. Selling it of as easier is just a baseless claim and wrong, sorry.
I remember beating a wing dragon of Ra with 16k atk with my obnoxious Celtic guardian I had it equiped with a bashing shield and power of the guardians. Unkillable haha.
Yes, because they almost always have an out. I can't tell you how many times I was sure I had a Tear player dead to rights, but they managed to get that one lucky mill that turned into their graveyard blowing up and ruining my day.
Vanilla one: 3/1/2004 Obnoxious: 9/1/2004 "Noble Arm": 7/21/2016 And I am listing their physical forms' released dates. For their Master Duel released/updated dates, it's 1/19/2022 (yes, all three were put in Master Duel at same time).
Sensei 🫡, i kinda still didn't understand if they were necessary to win the matches but that last match that guy made a big mistake in throwing his deck away like that 😂
I remember a while back, a Celtic Guard stun deck topped at an OCG tournament (not the winner, but got surprisingly close)
i remember that one, Final against thunder dragon 1 - 2.
11:16 Ah yes. The legendary Boogie Table Flip. The classic.
Haha for sure!😂

The first guy was getting beat, so he sucker-punched you then ran away. 😂🤣

Most ppl scoop if they don't end on their ideal board, even more so when you start doing combos
That last game was amazing xD

Are tearlament players always that stubborn? Cause I probably would have conceded like 10 turns ago.
🤣
