You will love the Blackwing/Bystial deck Kanak runs, he invented a 1 card combo to get to Kali Yuga, and it actually can play through Droll since it relies heavily on reborning from grave more than anything
It only plays through Droll if you open exactly Vata as your starter, otherwise you need to search for it, you get drolled, and then you can't search for the first Rank Up spell that you need to go into Kali Yuga. Bystial Blackwings plays through Droll better because your extra deck space isn't as limited, and they can easily make a board with only 1 search

I would love to see a Primite DM Deck from you, Jesse! Also would like to see a Shining Sarcophagus Deck from you as well, since one of my students is building it right now. Cheers!
Even without the new support you can build a Board of 2-3 Omnis + interruptions with CyDra. It’s not the best OTK anymore, that’s right but it can break board with ease especially with Clockwork Knight. And especially with being a going second deck you run Boardbreakers on mass. It’s atleast a C Tier if not higher.
To up the consistency of Shining Sarc, could use Wakaushi + Soulgaia to make Gear Gigant to get Gadget Trio - without wasting the normal summon. That's an extra six starters that lead to Sarc
@14:00 I kinda fixed this issue by running a Lord of the Heavenly Prisons. It lets you start chains to get 2 shining sarc's onto the field. While pitching one, if you have a turn silence you can cancel the prison pitch too if you get timing.
If exodia had a 'return to the bottom of the deck to draw cards equal to returned cards' effect or spell, then the consistency issue would be mostly solved. Personally i've been using tear cards to mill and return exodia pieces to the bottom of the deck.

The bad part about mimighoul is the field spell (which is the best part about the deck) is heavily countered by detonator and we might have gotten rid of witch sending our set mimighouls to summon but now ice can do the same lol
You'd be surprised to know how Little decent mimighoul lists care about that. The issue I have with the deck is far different: 1) Impulse and 2) Fiendsmith. Smith just invalidates your endboards and the followup it provides is Extremely hard to deal with for ghouls

@angel-memeroftheisles I'd recommend running fiendsmith in mimighoul. Gives a great going first grind game. Droll destroys but did so for any of the other variants
Agree with the cyber dragon ranking, although it really isn't even a "fun deck for locals" anymore, it has really just fallen off into the shadow realm. As for its support in alliance insight, it brings it back up to rogue again, but it still needs a bit more. Curious where you would rank crystron with the support its getting in supreme darkness. It's been doing well in the ocg despite maxx c, so I can see it doing well in the tcg. I'm also surprised lightsworns didnt make it on here. The deck pairs insanely well with fiendsmith, with both engines able to loop with each other. It's a scary deck, but it can struggle into malice (punishment is insane into malice though and can end their turn on its own, the issue is getting to it and getting it to stick).

i mean, in a month and a bits time, there wont be much discussion on this point. but galaxy hasnt done much in the past few years, no room for non-engine. this combination makes them a poor choice in a metagame.
Blue-Eyes should be higher than Dark Magician. Also Blue-Eyes is about to get support in the future which will make it a lot better. It's the 2nd best deck in OCG right now.
would love a series where you focused on Type/Attribute decks. What is the best Light-Warrior only deck, Dark Spellcaster only deck, Water Stack deck etc.
Hi Jesse! This is such a good tear list for us who are mostly rogue deck players. I was wandering, since you didn't mention the two deck that i like the most, where would you put Centur-ion and Gimmick Puppets in this current state? Furthermore, i'm waiting for your version of fire king, i loved the deck and i'm genuinely curious how to fix the deck a bit. Thanks!
As someone who typically plays Traptrix, I think somewhere in the B or C tier range is fair. It placed at YCS Ecuador a few months ago and when it goes first, it's hard to stop. It's also got plenty of engine room for things like Kashtira, Ragnaraika, Ryzeal, etc. to help its glaring weaknesses. I've even managed to beat Labrynth (which is essentially a better version of Traptrix) a few times with it as well. The main weaknesses it has are that A. It's fairly weak attack-wise, so monsters that are unaffected by your control options can block you pretty easily, and B. Like you said this deck going second struggles and struggles hard. It's a deck that really is heavily dependent on the skill level of the player using it more than anything other deck on this list, in my opinion.
It's one of those many decks that a very good player could cook with, but that are just not worth the effort. Another such example is insect link. You get 20% of what you'd get by playing a meta deck with the same effort instead
@@angel-memeroftheisles To be fair, most rogue decks are like that. Some people just prefer playing with certain decks for certain reasons. I play it mainly because it's a fun budget deck that gives me a playstyle I really like.
I will say for Traptrix vs Labrynth, it feels more 50/50 to me, Lab has Daruma Cannon and significantly better recovery, but Traptrix has that Trap immunity which is a little annoying for Labrynth, as well Sera is going off like crazy and Myrmellio. I know this from experience, a player at my locals has traptrix as their pet deck and they are scary good with it. Also totally get the rogue thought process, I have pet decked Ogdoadic since its creation, even if it wasn't good (hell I topped a regional with it) and with Mitsurugi coming out, snakes might be actually good (Shifter and Dweller are still gonna be pain though...)
you are are ragnaraika is effective engine in any insect/plany deck. tbh if your winning games because of a generic staple like fenrir your not really winning. traptrix going second pure is bad regardless unless you load up on board breakers. i normal play them with rikka or aroma even adamancipator the reason people don't experiment is because people are obsessed with the hand trap narrative instead of playing to there decks strength
I was introduced to yugioh from the dark world structure so I want to say what about it hooked me. You draw cards, you summon huge guys from grave, and when you summon them on MD they have cool animations. Yeah you probably should FTK with dark world but it’s not as fun as big guy turbo
PLAY THE METALMORPH DECK!!!!!! All these other archetypes have been done to kingdom come but seldom is it that people are coming out with new strats for it
I've been cooking Kashtira Silent Sarcophagus and I think I've gotten it like 90% of the way there. Also, I have been cooking like 10 Mimighoul decks and I feel like the deck can do cold fusion with any archetype which uses level 1s or flips.
Fun fact you can combine Ashened and Ryzeal into 1 deck as they have a couple rank 4s and both get benefit from bonfire and terraforming Edit: both have lockouts that make it a little funky to do the combos but it does work
as long as you summon duo drive early, or try to. you don't have to worry about the ashened lock, and once you cant do ashened stuff anymore, you don't have to worry about the ryzeal lock. basically you just go > Duo > ashened > end with ext and make detonator. you can do the full ashened combo after you make duo drive as long as your normal summon is ice.
Mimighoul actually has a pretty solid matchup against maliss. It’s easy to get 2 bodies on field which means you can summon dagda and set lancea. After that, you use mimighoul throne to bounce lancea back to your hand and turn skip the maliss player
@@michaelstephens4992 the whole dagda set and bounce is really easy to set up and can be done in most mimighoul combos. Thrust is certainly a good and must play card but our combos basically guarantees getting lancea rather than hard drawing thrust. Also, lancea only tributes while it is faceup and not set.
@CrunchyToast-bt6re yes. Sanctum summons lancea to the field and not sets it. Honestly I'd rather go fiendsmith combo since it also only requires 2 monsters
@@michaelstephens4992 sorry I thought you were saying that dagda doesn’t set it. Adding lancea and ending the maliss players turn is a lot better than going into fiendsmith. Ofc only do this when you actually know what the opponent is on. Otherwise fiendsmith or other xyz monsters is better
I know this is a hot take but for tcg exclusive, but I would thought Kozmo would be good in this format cause since format best cards are destroying and banishing Kozmo wants that for banishing monsters you can get them back from Kozmotown and if Razeal Destroys the field spell it doesn't matter since it'll replace with a monster
so, i have won 2 locals in a row in different stores with mimighoul. First 4:0 - against: watt (2:0), voiceless (2:0), yubel (2:1), and labyrinth (final 2:1). Second 3:0:2 against: Maliss(2:1), Dark World(2:0), Melodious (1:1), Yubel (1:1). Funny story with Maliss: they healed themselves to 9700 because it was almost time. it was my turn and I burned them for 2000 :D
Dinomorphia still has one of the most powerful going first strategies and its incredible to not find it here. Handles handtraps well and it can stop power spells with its counter traps.
I know you've done a lightsworn video before. But idk if you've considered that lighrsworns have synergies with both ryzeal and fiendsmith. And shufflers and black goat really do cook maliss/ryzeal
I will say I think one thing I think you could add are decks that were affected by the most recent banlist. Ik you went over fire kings and rescue ace but imo there were a few rogue decks that used OSS and still got murdered by the list like laval and volcanic.
honestly, i think that dweller might get banned soon. they didn't ban it last banlist because of the reprint in crossover breaker, but i expect a purge in generic rank 4 monster due to ryzeal with dweller being first in line similar how Apollousa didn't get banned with the reprint in rarity collection 2
Hey jesse. how about a dark magician engine that turbos out dark magician the dragon knight, to support exodia millennium? Think that could work? Also would like to see the dm deck you've cooked up 👍🏻
I recently went against a shark player in master duel. I was playing ghoti, but was surprised how much they were able to recover. I ended up winning the match, but could easily see myself losing if we played again and they got a bit luckier with their opening.
What holds Mimighoul back is the fact that they have no searchable cards that stop your opponent from just flipping cards on their turn when it suits them. IMO the field spell should stop your opponent from being able to flip summon. So you just end up giving them a facedown dragon for exame and they can't normal. They just flip the dragon at the start of their turn and then they normal.
I'm not amazing at the deck by any means but dragon shouldn't be the card you set on your opponents side if you're going first. Like you said there's nothing stopping them from flipping it with no upside, you should be setting any other one, ideally with a mimighoul room set on your side as follow up to give them another card if they flip the one you gave them. I've found fairy to be the best choice to turn off effects from hand special summons, sometimes I've had to give up the normal summon lock, but getting room to resolve is better anyway since you often end with 2 face downs on their field that way, still preventing them from attacking at least.
@Stefan9644 @Stefan9644 Nah I get that. I just used it as the most extreme example. A lot of the time the deck is just reliant on your opponent not going going "So if I just flip this now I can avoid interruptions later? Ok cool"
Please try make Dragunity meta again Please I give you this difficult tast. I want to Synchro like a mad man again and link. I loved that mechanic so much it was my baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..........

Fun fact you can combine Ashened and Ryzeal into 1 deck as they have a couple rank 4s and both get benefit from bonfire and terraforming
Edit: both have lockouts that make it a little funky to do the combos but it does work
as long as you summon duo drive early, or try to. you don't have to worry about the ashened lock, and once you cant do ashened stuff anymore, you don't have to worry about the ryzeal lock. basically you just go > Duo > ashened > end with ext and make detonator. you can do the full ashened combo after you make duo drive as long as your normal summon is ice.
Gladiator Beasts: Am I joke to you?
I'll show you mutha***** after SUDA 👊🏿
Please make a DM Deck with primite which could actually be competitive... waiting the structure deck support ;) Thx a lot
Mimighoul actually has a pretty solid matchup against maliss. It’s easy to get 2 bodies on field which means you can summon dagda and set lancea. After that, you use mimighoul throne to bounce lancea back to your hand and turn skip the maliss player
You know u can just tribute lancea from the field or your hand right? Also you can just thrust into sanctum and still get those same results
What about Ice Barrier 😅 we need a part to Jesse! Hahaha
so, i have won 2 locals in a row in different stores with mimighoul.
Could you please share a deck list for me to try?
@@azeezoyefeso7731 now i test with just 2 Makers and 1 more handtrap/nonengine
@@azeezoyefeso7731 The duelingbook ID is: 17026424
Would love to see that metalmorph deck!
I HAVE to see you play Bystial Metalmorph Fiendsmith I love the new Metalmorph cards
I need that primite DM list for sureee😮
The next best tier list video 😱😱😱🤯🤯🤯💣💣💣
What about chimera? It technically is an anime deck since it includes cards played by Yugi. Where would you rank them?
Hey jesse. how about a dark magician engine that turbos out dark magician the dragon knight, to support exodia millennium? Think that could work?
Also would like to see the dm deck you've cooked up 👍🏻
Once we get that blue eyes support he will be meta 🙌🏽
I recently went against a shark player in master duel. I was playing ghoti, but was surprised how much they were able to recover. I ended up winning the match, but could easily see myself losing if we played again and they got a bit luckier with their opening.
Damn that replay sounds sick lol
Do like seeing some of the decks here just want your opinion on drytron
snake eyes ranking lower than red eyes is a wild timeline
Vanquish soul aligns very well against current meta
B: DM should at least be A.
C: BEWD should be S.
A: Shining Sarc should be S.
Awww, wouldv loved to see chimera in here. surely it beats the F tiers? pairs nicely with albaz, though i love to play the illusion cards.
Agent melodious can you rank it ???
Or they auto at F tier
God i love a jesse kotten explanation on yugioh.
Can you make old school otk decks vs new school otk decks video? Would like to see it majority otk decks!
Fiendsmith bystial metalmorph for the "rogue" tier list is debatable.
Something cool about mimighoul is that it can be played with purrely
Mimighoul best deck! Took 1st at locals even with ryzeal fiendsmith in the mix!
Six samurai may be in B tier, but just mean they are getting close to A tier and they will do a power creep.
Love that Unchained is still a top rogue deck
I love scareclaw and mannadium and would love if you spoke about them ❤
Losing Baronne crippled both of them immensely. Especially the latter. You can still play Adventure stuff and win a locals with the former, for sure
Where would you rank zombie world/ zombie grass
When will you make a cards and castles 2 ranking? Haha this is indeed quite different from pokemon
Just give us a field spell that places shining sarc and has a floating effect that shuffles our banished monsters back we can be trusted with it
You don’t know anything about CyDra.
Wouldn't detonator still pop shining sarc if the activation hasn't resolved yet properly?
detonator negates the activation? if not then no
yeah protection doesn't apply during activation
Ok cool"
Thoughts on Zombie deck
Please try make Dragunity meta again Please I give you this difficult tast. I want to Synchro like a mad man again and link. I loved that mechanic so much it was my baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..........
Mikanko and Dogmatika over here 🙋🏾♂️😎
